Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 1: Better flush out the PP
This is sig’s only rationale for voting Scotty. I don’t think it’s very good. He forgot things while we were scum together, but that cannot be alignment indicative. It’s not as if as town you just suddenly remember things better, and while he could be bluffing, what advantage does he gain there?
This is not a point in Scotty’s favor necessarily because I think his remarks about Golden don’t make sense but rather it is a point against sig.

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 0: It's 'TIME' to get started
I am also wondering if Epi’s characterization of Zephyrus here is something the rest of you agree with.
Put it this way: is his statement closer to “People should figure out who’s scum” (an invitation to do stuff) or “I am here and ready for the game” (a statement related to speef’s desire for us to check in). I am leaning toward the latter, but I want to hear from everybody else.
I agree with the base argument that it is a likely scumtell if someone attempts to adopt an appearance of contributing without actually doing the work. I am not so sure that’s what Zephyrus is doing.

I should note too that Scotty does go on to voice opposition and argue with Golden, but not until afteer this. There are a lot of people in this thread not exactly putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to voicing relatively strong suspicions so maybe I am wrong to slight Scotty for it alone.

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 1: Better flush out the PP
I agre with this to an extent, but moreso for his behavior toward Mac that I talked about.insertnamehere wrote: ↑Sat Jun 16, 2018 4:09 pm Golden responded to Scotty/Epi's initial proddery with swift, harsh overkill that felt like way too damn much.
I love this. Then, Golden did that thing that I'll always dislike, where he starts referring to himself in the third person, and talks about how "Civ Golden" always takes heat on Day 1, and "Scum Golden" has never even gotten a vote on Day 1. Therefore, if Golden gets attention on Day 1, according to Golden, that means that he must be civilian. But this opens up a bit of a paradox.
If Golden's a civilian, then we shouldn't vote for him Day 1. However, if Golden doesn't receive any votes on Day 1, he's incredibly more likely to be scum, and should be lynched ASAP. So, either we don't vote for Golden, and let a scummeister slip on by, or vote for Golden and mislynch a civilian.
Or, y'know, we could fucking ignore people when they explain their own metas, because it's literally meaningless. The second someone proclaims their own meta style of gameplay, it's unrepresentative of their gameplay. If you're intelligent enough to realize, oh, I do this when I'm good, and I do this when I'm bad, you're also smart enough to realize that you should, if you are bad, try doing the things that you usually do when good.
I see the logic in not jettisoning strong town voices but I disagree with it and it’s not a good look for him considering he and I did basically the same thing a month ago to JJJ in Easter. Could go either way but it really does make Scotty’s views toward Golden seem less genuine if he won’t actually do anything about it while he has the chance.Ahem. It appears that Scotty is unwilling to vote for Golden. Which makes no goddamn sense to me.

Golden, you can say “this is my town meta” all you want, but it doesn’t mean much and to my eyes you are acting differently than in previous games where I played you and you were town. I don’t recall you being a D1 lynch in either AG or U-Pick, I don’t recall you reacting to suspicions so severely and I don’t recall you labeling half the game with scumreads right out the gate.

As far as Choutas’s meta goes I don’t know. If you read Easter his lynch basically materialized out of nowhere and he had like 3 posts. I see the obvious comparison between this game and that.

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 1: Better flush out the PP
For example, Golden has offered relatively strong scum reads or accusations of fake behavior against these users: Quin, Epignosis, Scotty, insertnamehere
Scotty has done the same, or voiced his favor for a lynch, for Zephyrus, Golden, Spacedaisy, Choutas, and a few maybe-serious-maybe-not votes for sig and insertnamehere.
Is it just me, or does wildly vacillating between all these people seem kinda weird (particularly for Scotty)?
