Is the reason you don't have a girlfriend the actual philosophical problem? Or are you saying that there is some mysterious philosophical problem and just because it exists it somehow is keeping you from having a girlfriend?
If it's the latter the solution is simple...just ignore the philosophical problem and get a girlfriend.

Re: Philosophers' Mafia [DAY 0]
I see some people asked about my post re: Amy and Scirrus. I don’t know either of them, but I don’t see any reason why people are voting for Amy. Looks townish or null to me. Meanwhile Scirrus’ entrance and some of the catch-up (claiming town 4 times in one post?) looks forced. Those are my takes.
How do you have an entire scumteam picked out when you don’t know a single flip?

I've read everything but tbh not sure how much of it really sunk in. I think I'm going to try ISOing people and see if that gets me further than trying to digest like 6 pages all at once.

Re: Philosophers' Mafia [DAY 1]
I’ll be as honest as possible with y’all, I am having a hard time getting comfortable this game. It reminds me of my junior year Critical Reading class, a class ostensibly on literary theory and criticism. I read all the readings every week, I kept up on coursework, I did what was asked of me ... but I barely understood a fuckin’ word of it. What does Derrida mean by the signifier and the sign? Don’t fucking know!
I think my problem in Critical Reading was that the foundation of it was the debate over formalism vs. structuralism (I think?) and I never managed to quite learn what those were. Subsequently I didn’t fully understand anything that came afterwards, because how could I? You can’t really read Baudrillard if you don’t know the alphabet. (I actually did retain some Baudrillard.)
Point is, maybe it’s the fact that I don’t know most of these players, or the fact that all the posts in this game are 7 paragraphs long, but I couldn’t understand any of the D0 fighting (which for all you Baud-heads out there, felt like a simulacrum of Mafia rather than Mafia, but I digress) nor most of the D1 that follows. The KZA flip should prove useful and I do have some reads but if you ask me something be prepared to be disappointed because in a game that purports to limit post counts ... you guys talk an awful lot.
And yeah put me in the POE, whatever, used to it, I still think Hally needs to be cleared independent of KZA’s flip either way

Re: Philosophers' Mafia [DAY 1]
My thoughts are these:
To reiterate, still think Hally is bad, there are scum and town on both wagons.
KZA was almost certainly bussed but not by NANOOK (but possibly to save Hally instead)
Everything Alison says I find agreeable.
I’m down with resolving Radishes one way or another.
iaafr good too.
I will yeet literally anybody else, probably.

Re: Philosophers' Mafia [DAY 1]
I would like to amend this post by saying that I graduated with a 4.0 GPA in my English major coursework and a 3.98 GPA overall so I was not dumb in school. My vanity and ego will not allow me to allow people on the internet to think I am dumb in the rare few situations I am not. Thank you for reading.ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 10:22 pm I’ll be as honest as possible with y’all, I am having a hard time getting comfortable this game. Bro apologies for gross language, idk if you’re “cleared” or not but you have a hard-on for murdering me and I DON’T LIKE ITBenson wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2020 8:27 am I think hammering this morning isn't a terrible idea because I'm running out of posts, and so is rabbit (if not already).
Colin, if you are town I think you have to make a sacrifice. Nothing you can do will get you out of the PoE and the other roles in the game are in conflict with yours. Maybe Proto has pocketed me hard but I think we check you first out of the two. You may say that you're a confirmed tracker. You may say that trackers are underpowered on wolf teams. Both true. But I think it's just clear that unless we are in my tin foil world the wolves were neutered anyways.

Re: Philosophers' Mafia [DAY 3]
I could be town and LC could be a passive mafia role, but that would then require Hally being his teammate, right?protocultures wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2020 10:58 am its likely LC went nowhere because I did as check (although I could have been jacked).
From my pov, Colin kind of has to be same alignment as LC as is risky to claim LC went nowhere, and I think they claimed before LC said they are passive/didnt go anywhere. It is possible someone else got a tracker check on LC and fed the info to Colin, but this seems unlikely, even to me. As such, I think this makes Colin and LC same alignment. Nobody else can really KNOW this for fact, this is only for me because of my own check. So if/when i die, you can add more weight to it.
Colin can be town and Hally can be mafia.
Hally can be town and Colin can be town.
Hally can be mafia and Colin can be mafia, however this also means LC is mafia, which makes the mafia team 5 in total. How much do we hate an idea of 5 mafia?
The world that cant exist is Hally town and Colin mafia, since colin says "targetted dizzy" and no way for Colin to know who Hally redirected to.
So if Halley flips town, colin is town, and LC is town.
If we cop check Halley, we get 3 for 1.
I probably messed up somewhere - @NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME check my homework?

I don’t follow any part where you and I are linked here.protocultures wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2020 10:59 am Colin should also think I am same alignment as LC for same reason.
