The longer version for any of you that are interested is that I had surgery for a hernia a couple weeks ago. Turns out I had a worse case than anticipated but thankfully I had a great surgeon and the operation went fine. In addition I gave my students their Final Exam that same week so I didn’t have a chance to start grading until post-surgery and I was absolutely down for the count for over a week after. I didn’t anticipate it but I made these Final exams too intensive to grade apparently because the last few days were filled with hectic grading and I barely made my deadline with grades due today.

Needless to say it’ll be good to finally relax and play this game again with you all.

People who played the games these items are from (are they all from games?) have any idea about them? Since Epi says they may be cursed, I am not so sure it much matters what we think of the items, and it's kind of a "which ones we like the sound of" crapshoot.

I am more concerned about who we give them to. Since It would be hard to tell who is/is not civ, I will vote to give them to people I think would use them well, whatever it is that they do, and hope they are civs. I had wanted to wait to get a feel for people before voting, and I opened another tab with the poeple poll, then I opened another browser to look at who voted for who, and then I realized I would not be able to vote if I left the tab here, so I am going to vote now. I logged out and logged back in, but still can't vote. Is that a glitch, once you choose "view results" in an unchanging poll you are locked out? Or is that a permanent thing?

I'm in the process of my readthrough now but this post is very big and says very little. Kinda jingles my bells a bit with respect to wanting to look important, but not really doing much.

Far from random. Those reads meant something concrete to me at the time and they still do. Sorting out my thoughts on early impressions of people is CRUCIAL to this stage of the game and if you don't play that way that's fine but it is helpful for me and I felt the need to put them out there. If you don't find it valuable you are free to ignore it but I do want people to know my townreads.

Also, I agree with this assessment of nutella. I think what made people call her post player salad is she did not list reasoning for her reads (at least that's what I learned about player salad in the last game I played).
