Hi everyone. My name is DrWilgy and at long last... I'm finally a doctor.
How are we?

But this is why I askes about tribal mechanics in Survivor Mafia. I didn't play in the game and don't feel like looking it up, so I'm hoping someone who was there can explain it to me. Scotty was the game's host, I believe.

What a fun game we have going on. Sloonei, why exactly did you hop on INH at the start of this game?
I went after INH to start the game because he was here and he was somebody that would respond to me and who others could potentially talk about as well.
Where? What?
Regardless of contrasting views or not, you want me to believe that Scotty discussing INH only a few posts prior to your discussion on INH were unrelated?Sloonei wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2018 3:54 pmwhy? Scotty's mention of INH was not a factor at all in my discussion of INH. Our observations about INH were in stark contrast to each other. Scotty labeled him as "blendy" because he had not noticed any of the things INH had said. On the other hand, INH stood out to me because of a few specific posts he had made.DrWilgy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2018 3:46 pmScotty's point is what actually caused my curiosity here.
Sloonei, I don't believe your reason for bringing up INH is legitimate. I feel like if it was, you would've mentioned Scotty's suspicion in your response to me.
I asked Scotty for a read because he was here. At the same time, I wanted to talk about INH. we each only had about three players to choose from at the time, so it's really not surprising that we ended up on the same subject.
Like I said, it looked like an opportunistic push on someone. There was the starting of momentum towards INH and you were like "ok this is a thing now."Sloonei wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2018 2:32 pm I still would like to know why you (and wilgy) think it would be suspicious of me to follow your comments about INH with my own suspicion of him. Even if that was what I did, I would not view it as a good scum strategy, so I don't know why the angle should be pursued.
Mainly because I don't like killing my friends, plus Bloops avatar makes me happy.Boomslang wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2018 6:56 pmCan you give any reason for this, other than a flat denial of the possibility?
Because he's done some really good comparative analysis to suggest a w/w connection between Sig and Sloonei? Also, despite admitting that he can "tunnel good Sloonei" early in the game, he's choosing to take the risk and put opinions out there. I don't see him going this deep down the tunnel unless he really believes his case.
Sloonei is bad still and you are... here. Idk haven't really saw anything that made me attracted tok you... except that sweet ass... But that's a matter for another time.Scotty wrote: ↑Sat Mar 03, 2018 8:19 pmWelcome back to absentee land.DrWilgy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 03, 2018 7:22 pm First thing is first. I think the silencer is amongst those who asked me for a response on my civ JoH read.
2nd thing 2nd. JoH is civilian because of his interactions with bloop day one. I don't think mafia JoH would be on a team that NK'd a civilian bloop. It is plausible if they are on the same team, but I doknt think bloop is bad.
Daisy. Come at me. Fight Me! I love you. Fiiiiight meeee.
I vote for me DrWoogy.
What do you think of me and Sloonei?
Also why didn’t you vote for someone else in the thread after it was all but assumed you were silenced? What good is a self vote at that point? Makes me really not buy the whole silent routine..
Because it makes sense to hit someone with a silence when there information is trying to be gained. Asking to further gain the information and for me to not deliver would put a negative on me. All in all, it makes me think I was right about both JoH and Bloops though.
In regards to LoRab, I don't know. Before yesterday I held her in a bucket of players that seemed floaty. She was supposed to receive my vote, but now I think she's one of my top civ reads.Scotty wrote: ↑Sun Mar 04, 2018 12:00 amThat’s the whimsical Wilgy I remember.DrWilgy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 03, 2018 10:25 pmSloonei is bad still and you are... here. I was going to vote LoRab, but wasn't here unfortunately.
Why the hell would I fake silencing? Would that gain me anything if I was taking silence as a civ or baddie?
Why were you leaning LoRab in particular? I think I did see you vote that way originally. So you’re saying you were away basically the last 24 hours and that’s why you didn’t change your vote?
Mmk, I can believe that.
RE: faking silencing- I’ve seen odder strategies out there. I had a game on another site where I was the silencer and chose to “silence” myself because I wanted heat off my back.
I dunno, I’m actially feeling better about you Wilgy. Can’t put my finger on it though.
Nah, you figure it out.
I think Sloonbread put it well. I have no suspicion of you for what you've stated this game. Rather the fact you were received a new role and I was silenced immediately afternijuukyugou wrote: ↑Sun Mar 04, 2018 7:15 pmErrrrrr wait, you think I might be bad but then don’t have an opinion about me, literally like two posts later? That’s a bit...incongruous.DrWilgy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 04, 2018 3:25 pm I just had one of those horrifying "what if everyone is a baddie except me and they are all anonymous in their BTSC trying to hunt me down" type of thoughts.
No silencer N1. Bloop dies. Silencer N2 and they target me... seems straightforward to me, but that makes me doubt myself. I also dont have much of an opinion of bloop 2 which tosses an interrobang above my head.
To answer Sloonei’s question, I think Wilgy is throwing poop to see where it sticks. It was a rather short time between suspecting me and then saying he doesn’t know about me, so either he’s lying or really doesn’t know what he wants to say. THIS, my friends, is the definition of floundering. I'm leaning towards the lying at this point, about suspecting me and possibly about being silenced, which goes with my speculation Day 3 that there were too many people being quiet for it to be a silencing sort of deal. *throws gauntlet*
I damn near forgot he was in the game, but I guess that's what my pickle with you earlier was about.
Daisy here's the problem. I've been purposely playing aloof as civilian for awhile now. People kept mislynching me because I couldn't supatown 5 games in a row. Now we are at a point where I want to play alittle more forward again mainly because it's the GoC.(Also did you see the game where I called out all but one of the baddies in emojis? That was fun.)Spacedaisy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 3:34 am To everyone saying that Wilgy is playing like his normal self, please tell me you don't see a difference between his civ game and his mafia game...

I think if you look at these games you will see that bad Wilgy plays more straight laced. Good Wilgy uses gimmicks. Good Wilgy doesn't play like he cares, he seems to mostly just be having a good time. Bad Wilgy puts a lot more effort into looking good than Good Wilgy. Do not be fooled by him. I don't believe he is good. He started throwing in more jokes once this meta started to get brought up and I'm not buying this!
Maybe that self vote was because I wanted to see what the other thread was up to.Boomslang wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 9:44 amAs a baddie, faking silence gives you a way to control the narrative about you the next day, which you do literally as soon as the day ends.
All of this wouldn't happen without your silencing, and then you drop another meaningless self vote out of the gate.DrWilgy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 03, 2018 7:22 pm First thing is first. I think the silencer is amongst those who asked me for a response on my civ JoH read.

Yo I'm a jury duty too. What a coinkidink.LoRab wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 12:29 pm Is anyone silenced today? I’m not sure I’m seeing that a baddie would fake a silence when there may or may not be a silencer. Seems like a pretty big risk, since if no one else is silenced, then it becomes pretty obvious. Also, if one fakes a silence and there really is a silencer, then you would have 2 people silenced. So, not sure what I think about wilgy, but I don’t think he faked a silence.
I’m jury duty hell this morning so posting from phone , btw. Hopefully, this will all be done early this afternoon.
* Darude sandstorm plays in background *Sloonei wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 2:57 amIn spite of all that i just said, this post set off alarms left and right for me. It feels calculated and it's off base. INH is, I think, referencing my post from earlier when I observed that I've seldom agreed with Boomslang in this game and, in that same post, that I was unsure what this meant for Boom's alignment. In various other posts I've expressed unrelated reasons for suspecting Boomslang. Also in various other posts I've expressed strong townreads on players who disagree with me. Jack was my probablt my strongest town read on Day 1, and the basis of this was that he was aggressively pursuing me as his top suspect. I currently list Spacedaisy as a top town read while she is campaigning to lynch DrWilgy, a player who I also read as town. I have no idea where INH is pulling this interpretation of me from.insertnamehere wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 7:15 pmYour reads seem to be solely driven by emotion. And, as you've shown with your suspicion of Boomslang, you seem to be emotionally favorable towards people attempting to work with you and who also agree with your reads, while being judgmental towards those with whom you disagree.Sloonei wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 6:24 pm Scotty is my top town read because I get a stronger sense from him than anyone else that he's trying to solce the game. He's here, he's engaged and he's not afraid to state his mind. His previous role is the only slight complication.
I'm not concerned with anyone else's stated case against sig right now. My own thoughts on him havd shifted to a town lean. He looks to me like a player who doesn't care about how he is being perceived, which I take as a good thing.
I'm still not inspired by a single word of any case against spacedaisy.
This response just knocked you down a couple of places on my rainbow list.
I also don't know what he means when says my reads seem to be driven by emotion, or why that is to be considered a bad thing. I try to read people emotionally, I guess. It's part of my approach to the game.
This post felt like it was conceived of for the purpose of arriving at a negative conclusion about me, rather than an honest progression of thoughts. "This response knocked you down a couple of places" after referencing a couple of points that are nowhere near the response in question seems to betray a bit of pre-planning and forethought passed off as spontaneity.
Now imagine I said all of this in front of strobe lights and some spacey techno dance beat.

Odder still when you consider how hard you defended INH from Sloonei at game start. It just struck me as odd. But that said, I don't have a strong feel on this, it was a gut response to one comment as I was reading through while at work. I wouldn't really even consider basing any kind of vote on this. Just laying out as much of my thoughts as I can.
This brings me to a question. Who was voting me for being me? I'm somewhat unsettled by this.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 12:07 pm I actually don't know why people were voting for Sig.
I know people were voting for Wilgy cause he was being Wilgy.
