It could just as easily be an intentional move to get me to read him as town. Also, I think there's been at least once he's done this and been bad (Talking Heads), but I'm not 100% certain of that.

As for Mac - I tend to think he has no particular need to go through a deliberate scheme to declare me town so early if he's bad, and also think he'd be inclined towards consistency with his previous town self in the hope of getting me to town read him rather than choosing a different path. But that read I'm less confident in.

Dunya is bad but I went back in time and prevented her signing up to avoid that situation.
