I'll be in class, and it's a long evening ahead. Since I'm obviously going to be the first pick being the amazing legend that I am, you all might have to wait a bit.

It is unsurprising that you would want to work alongside Supertown Jimmy, the greatest of the great, the amazing, the incredible, the one who changed the face of forum Mafia forever. Who wouldn't want to learn directly from a legend? It remains to be seen if you can even begin to comprehend his strategic brilliance. Those who have tried before you have proven thoroughly inadequate.dunya wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 9:01 pmlet's tagteam-awesome our way through this game, supatown Jimmy. What incredible fool would dare place a gun at the head of a Mafia god? Who would attempt to threaten the safety of the transcendent player of our generation? dunya is a civilian. She has declared her fatigue with the game of Mafia and yet she has still amassed over 70 posts during this introductory period of role assignment after the mafia team has been selected. She cannot help herself. She is addicted to the hunt. Perhaps she will earn her place of favor in the court of Supertown Jimmy if this conduct continues.

Posts occurring before this point are to be discarded. There is no way to know at what point the mafia team came into its fullest existence except that it came before this point. Supertown Jimmy has marked its location for future reference.Jackofhearts2005 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2018 5:56 pm What's this? My watch is half an hour fast?
@ColinIsCool
You have been randomly selected to start the draft.
Please choose another player from the player list (post 1) and pick a role from the draft list (post 3) for them. You must make your choice by posting it to this thread.
Once Colin gives someone a role, whoever that player is should give a third person a role, who should give a role to a fourth person and so on. Colin will get the last role that is left over.
For the draft portion of the game only, you (and by you, I mean everyone but probably Dunya) may contact other players outside of this thread to let them know that it is their turn to draft.

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 0]
Supertown Jimmy shall make a meta-judgment of mafia team selection probabilities given the following assumptions:
~~~> If the don is a Syndicate regular, he or she will be unlikely to select players who are frequently lynched on The Syndicate or exposed in POE pools.
~~~> If the don is not a Syndicate regular, he or she is slightly less likely to select unfamiliar players.
If accepted together, these premises would favor sig, DrWilgy, and Marmot.

I don't think they'd build a team of 5 RYMers either. I would anticipate a subconscious or conscious bias though. Maybe that'd amount to 3-2 RYM-TS. Maybe not. I don't care to engage in the WIFOM. The first point is more important.dunya wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2018 3:01 pm I agree with the first point, I don't agree with the second though. If an RYMer was selected, I definitely feel they'd include unfamiliar members; they definitely wouldn't build a team of 5 RYMers. Similarly, if a Syndicator was selected, they would include unfamiliar RYMers between them. Anything else would be foolish imo.

I think it's bad to ignore draft mechanics I think it can be key to catching scum, even if it doesn't it allows players to talk and to gain insight from how they react. I'm not sure that I like you proclaiming that you're going to be playing a supetown game and your general posts since that proclamation, I think it's about a 60/40 chance right now that you're actually mafia.

It just felt laid on thick to me. I mean I am on a tropical island 20 feet from the ocean but you didn't know that because I am genuinely distracted and disinterested whereas he had that scummy forced connectivity to the thread that makes you say unnecessary things.
Also I think RDW is a civ. Dunya is a civ. Epignosis and sig are sus. Jimmy is a civ. Colin is a civ. gwilikers6 is sus. Spirityo and nutella are civ. Kyle is a civ. Quin is sus. Rabbit is a civ. Everybody else is null. Brb fishing.

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 0]
There is one bit that concerns me, nutella, which I've highlighted. I do believe that for many players, perhaps even most, making judgments on Day 0 is beyond them regardless of activity level. They just don't try. It irks me, but it's reality. You're not a player I would associate with that approach though. Maybe you were two years ago, but your game has grown a great deal since I first encountered you, and the most evident change has been in your willingness to fling mud early and often.dunya wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 4:34 pmdamn, here I go again. I've said this maybe every game I've played here when someone gives me an answer like yours. You townread someone and didn't scum-feel anyone out, or at least not to the point of mentioning it and that pings me. If it were any other laid back Day 0, I wouldn't mind, but there's quite a few things that happened. Call me crazy, but I'm more likely to feel someone is iffy than someone is civvy on Day 0, especially a reasonably active Day 0.nutella wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 4:16 pmpretty sure I mentioned that I civ read rundontwalk in that whole exchange, at least. it's pretty early for me to form opinions on most people though... there's not much to go on and if I try to overanalyze the draft I'll just get a wifom headache
Oh yea, speaking of active. Where the hell is Epignosis? Him specifically cos I value him as a town comrade. He's usually tunneling someone hard by this time...I mean both sig and Long Con are playing. I'm disappointed.

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 0]
He has seemed generally absent or lower in activity in multiple games, so I award him zero points.dunya wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 4:38 pm Has rabbit8 disappeared since the other night? Would we have been waiting for him all this time had Jack not moved the drafting along? Don't think it's a smart scum-move to leave the thread hanging the way he did, so I don't really think he's playing as part of a team.
