Haven't read the last few pages yet. I saw Michelle tried to shade me for the chess, and Dom said he'd vote for me if it continued... those things are sketchy to me, chess isn't alignment-indicative. Well let's call a spade a spade and a shade a shade here. You said I was trying to divert attention elsewhere, I don't know a reason why a civilian would do that, so, you are accusing me of being bad.
I get that this isn't yet the hill you want to die on or anything, but that is what you did. I have no intention of distracting from the game with this chess, it's just a cool thing that I think could be fun.

Ah... *kisses finger and thumb tips like Chef Boyardee* Beautiful.
I am down with this. "I tend to never townread people like him and it's often correct." That's the part that is either provably correct or a crock of poop. Nitty-gritty this mofo. Pony up.Epignosis wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2019 11:18 pm Okay, so this is a "bait post" now:
Here, Rej acknowledges that his question could have been "bait."Rej wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2019 6:11 pmI skimmed through and I had hard times getting reads, so my question, was my civillian way of getting either a short summary or get other reactions out.
A bad guy here would take the most convienient answer to my question just to show activity.
The key here is thus:
Provide a short summary = Civilian
Give a convenient answer to show activity = Mafia
Forgive me Rej, but does that actually work? You indicate that it does:
I almost never do this, because usually I don't care, but maybe this time it's worth it:Rej wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2019 6:46 pm So again a civillian, especially one who hasn't cought up himself is telling me to read it myself. I still think it was timmer's convenient way in bringing his own DP forward to look like civillian. I tend to never townread people like him and it's often correct.
Rej, can you cite other scenarios in which this specific variety of "bait" caught bad guys?
This post is ice cold. All right all right all right all right all right all right all right all right all rightEpignosis wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2019 11:23 pm To be more precise, I'm looking for something in a somewhat similar vein of this exchange:
Rej: Can someone sum up things for me?
Andre 3000: Man, ain't but four pages. Get yo lazy ass on and read them things yo self.
Rej: Andre 3000 is not a civilian. Lynch him.
People lynch Andre 3000
Dead Andre 3000: Damn, damn, damn , damn (trumpet plays).
Civilians rejoice: "Hooray! Scholarships and candy for Rej! And a plate of yams with extra syrup!"
I think we should all take a step back and stop, drop, and roll at this time because you guys are ON FIRE with these posts!!
This actually makes me feel a bit suspicious of you... it's like, an easy standard thing to say to earn your "Productive Civ" badge. I don't even think this is your usual MO. This sounds like a Sloonei/JJJ kind of thing. Not an Epi thing. You're bad. No one will believe that. Oh well, at least your wit is sharp. Maybe suspiciously sharp.

Re: Girl Genius (Day 3)
This is a really good post. Either Luna is a dedicated Civ, or playing with fire as a baddie.
However, I am really sure that Epi made the big case on Luna because he red-peeked her, and that's how you do it in a no-infodropping game. The fact that his points against her were, to me, varying levels of weak, only strengthens that belief.
So now we are seeing Luna defend Jack. Perhaps we are meant, post-baddie-Luna-lynch, to conclude that Jack is bad. Maybe that's her play here.

But yes in theory in a setup with dumping and all vanilla roles except 1 shot cop and 1 shot vig the vig waits on the cop night 1 and then takes the shot night 2 if necessary. I think. Discuss.
Why is a lynch better than a vig shot for gaining info, when roles are revealed by night and by day?

Excuse me? Where do you get that logic from? That is absolutely not my way, the integrity and fun and challenge of the game is a lot more important to me than winning or losing, and leaving a bunch of low posters in the game is not the atmosphere I wish to foster as any alignment. I do not kill the active players when I'm mafia.

That is not something I have experienced. I don't think that's a thing.I just not sure if I can really be celebrating when I haven't lynched a single mafia member yet.
You just feel calmer than I would expect from another town player. You could very well be town here, but lots of scum do slip a calm mentality when they are ahead.
That, I have seen before. I've played Mafia for a while. Long enough to not post RIP posts out of guilt. I mean, I've had this conversation before, more than once. I sometimes post RIP posts. That's a possibility that I still intend to explore, because sometimes scum will post RIP posts because of guilt.

Re: Girl Genius (Day 2)
That is a delicious find, I think sabie might have given away too much by saying that. She's bad, and she knows exactly how many reads nutella has been wrong about, with or without flips. Furthermore, when we lynch sabie and she's bad, it might even give us more insight through re-reading nutella's early reads. Maybe Civ points to those she suspected? That could be going too far though; sabie is capable of misdirecting us to believe nutella had wrong reads, when they were right. I'm using way too many napklnsDyslexicon wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 11:23 am Sabie has 6 posts in the entire game.
This post is pretty much the only one with content. Pink is kind of sketchy though, cause this was D2 and I think only me and Rej had flipped at that point. So "a lot of her reads" seems like saying more reads, but only two had flipped.sabie12 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 6:59 am I apologize I dont have much service where I am on vacation.
The case on Lunalee makes sense and I could also see nutella being bad. They both are notoriously difficult to read at times. Lunas response to the suspicion on her was that she is busy and had a lot going on and messed up which is perhaps possible. Nutella response is to get really defensive.
In looking at Luna she originally seemed to be defending rej but then last second votes him openly admitting she just randomly voted because she thought he maybe had one sketchy post which she sort of wasn't really suspicious of initially. Ehhhh It's not a good look even if she is busy.
Nutella has been wrong on a lot of her reads so far but it is in her nature to kinda move around with the flow of the thread. I'm not sold on her being town as of yet but I feel the Luna case is more compelling.

I also want to mention that it's possible that nutella recruited four people on night 1. Isn't it?
It is a high failure probability though. And it wouldn't take out any mafia, so our scum numbers would be the same. It would be like a faction of Civs who are separate Civs.Dragon D. Luffy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 12:48 pmThe Other
Have BTSC. Win the game when they eliminate Wulfenbach Empire, Martellus and Zola, and outnumber Mechanicsburg.
Lucrezia Mongfish
Agatha’s mother. Lucrezia has developed a technology called Slaver Wasps, mechanical wasps that can infect a player and make them a slave to Lucrezia, forever.
[Hive Engine]: Once per night, Lucrezia can place a Hive Engine next to a player, which will release Slaver Wasps in their vicinity. Anyone who targets that player with an ability during that night will be converted to Lucrezia’s faction. They will keep their role abilities, except for kills.
No more than 4 players can be converted for the duration of the game.
This ability fails on mafia and independents. It also fails on sparks, unless…
Also very unlikely that she recruited anyone.

I am comfortable calling them mafia, baddies, wolf, or scum.

I voted sabie last lynch and I preferred her to Creature... I was pretty meh on the Creature lynch. His constant complaining about how we play Mafia grated on me enough that I didn't give a damn. He was great for the mafia.

Re: Girl Genius (Day 5)
Right now I'm totally down with Dom over Tony for the Civ side of things. That is to say Dom has impressed me in the Civ fashion. Whereas Tony is alluding to scumminess because of my invisible, plus he did engage in the Chess, which could have been a scum distraction on his end somehow.

Re: Girl Genius (Day 5)
Um, what else? Dyslexicon and Epignosis, I don't see them both being baddies and putting on this big show or something. I am concerned about one of them being bad. Of course my mind puts Epignosis there... it could be such a smooth plan to sub in for a baddie role to berate the Civvies for low-posting and keep the posting engine generally revved up enough that it's very difficult to find reason to lynch him. Paranoid? Maybe. Or maybe not. We'll see at endgame.
Dizzy, Epi, Jack, and Dom are all good in my books, for reasons and maybe optimism?
