Quin I'm sorry buddy but I actually had the same thoughts as Jimmy as I was going through page 1. Then when I read him say it I got a little bit frustrated that he stole my thunder. As you well know I am never wrong on a day 1 read so you might as well just give up.

I had a ping at first which I am prone to do when people are being enthusiastic in the way that Kylemii seemed to be (see Sloonei's description) but further posts seem relatively genuine. I don't accept Jimmy's argument for clearing as that's just as likely if not more so just common phrasing that Kylemii uses.

So Dave's only made this one post. I've got zero meta on this guy as I've never played with him and I do have a history of getting pinged by people incorrectly and given it's just one post it's probably a relatively meaningless ping. I simply don't like that he justified his vote for Outworld as simply as deferring to Jay's explanation, which was actually a relatively decent justification and that is not what I am calling into question, I just doubt the sincerity of Dave's belief in Jimmy being an adequate reason to vote.

Also it has a bit of a tone of a forced introductory post. Those more familiar with this Dave can comment on what his town intro posts are generally like or Dave is like in general.

Sorry I meant to say pinged by people I am unfamiliar with incorrectly, though the comment there is not incorrect either haha.

Everyone is neutral so far to me. Trying to remember the usernames so I can follow people more and get reads.

Perhaps try working backwards from some other angles. Why is Player X bad. Why is Player Y good. Rather than feeling it out and hoping for an aha! moment. Change the way you are reading the posts? Would Mac say this to me if he was good, if he was bad? Etc.

Wow you're really going to tunnel him straight out the gate aren't you... uninterested in genuinely finding bad guys and instead more interested in just getting Sloonei lynched? The question is whether you were genuinely pinged by him and now just want to feel great about your bad guy hunting skill or whether you are just fake hunting as a scum guy. Could be possible hard distancing as scum teammates... I would totally expect that of you two so that's gotta be on the table.

I discarded the first one because, imo, the justification for his vote or lack of justification doesn't mean anything. He is new and isn't used to this format. I myself voted and I can't justify my choice because I don't know what's going on.

My read on him : I'm suspicious of him. I know him to be much more active. His post felt forced as if he just wanted to seem like he participated.

I am pinged the way that you made a passing remark to somewhat discredit me even though you agree that he's sus.

I'm not satisfied that I did what you say I did given there are four of your orange reads and I only commented at length on one but I'll put it down to you just being enthusiastic and speaking out of line.

I don't think that is tunneling. What Wilgy is doing to Sloonei is tunneling. Jimmy is actually making reads based on your content. Wilgy said that Sloonei was bad and has now been provoking him in an attempt to justify his opinion. He's even refused to extrapolate on his reads.

yes. I chose you and the other 6 because I've never played with you before. I'd like to know your mafia background and some basic facts that might explain your behavior in general.

for an example of why this is important.... I'd expect a player who's never played with Dr. Wilgy to find different behaviors of his suspicious than a player who's never met him.

Alternately if a player I assumed didn't know anyone here suddenly had a strong read on another player it would be important to know that those two players both came from the same discussion forum and have played multiple games together.

I have been playing since 2011. I've played primarily on RYM but also a bit of Mafiascum and Somethingawful.com and over the last couple of years exclusively here. Haven't played since May.

birdwithteeth11 - Played a few games here, have very little recollection of meta.
Dave - Never played with.
Dom - Played several games here with Dom and have had significant interactions with him.
DrWilgy - Played several games here with Wilgy and have had significant interactions with him.
Elohcin - Played several games here with Elo and have had a bit of interaction.
Glorfindel - Played a few here with Glorf and have had a bit of interaction.
Gumshoe - I may have played one game with Gumshoe but relatively unfamiliar.
Jackofhearts2005 - Played a few games together with not much significant meta.
JaggedJimmyJay - Have played dozens of games with Jimmy as we were both from RYMafia. I taught him everything he knows.
Kylemii - Limited exposure.
lapluie - Might have played a game but not sure.
Long Con - Played quite a bit with Long Con. I think Long Con has a stronger feel for me than I do for him though.

Not sure what you mean by this? I read the whole thread before writing this post. This was just a summary of my thoughts on people as I was reading. What did I say that made you think I was "about to skim read everybody"?

The start of your post made me feel like you were going to comment on everybody but then you just commented on a few. Seemed to restrain yourself.

Well ... after that catch up I find myself relatively concerned by Jimmy. I feel Jack is playing very sincerely and am not buying that Jimmy genuinely feels that Jack is bad.

Nutella pinged me with a recent post. Jimmy is voting for him and I don't feel strongly about anyone else. I voted Dave because he pinged me and I was hoping my voting him would provoke him into showing something.

Why did you follow my vote to Dave and then my vote to nutella? And why do you have me bottom of your reads and why have you not explained yourself.

Jimmy's Nutella case is interesting to me because it's basically the same as my case on her early on in Mountains and my conclusion was wrong. Also, I don't see what he sees anyway. Opposite contrast with opposite conclusions.

Kinda feel like I'm dead ended on Jimmy atm anyway. Made looks worse but I'll let him talk before I decide where to move.

He reads as authentic to me. He's not latching onto any traditional or easy arguments that I could see being made against me, which suggests to me these are genuine thoughts of his.
