Kylemii wrote: Sun Feb 04, 2018 8:08 pm Dr. Wilgy being a wild boy doesn't mean he should be removed from scrutiny. Wilgy is a player who um.... he's often inscrutable because of the way he plays and often ends up being taken out of or put into the pool of suspicion by process of elimination.

informing people of the usage of sodium nitrate out of the blue isn't necessarily an alignment indicator for him, but level of effort from him can be.
Hence why I always ask to lynch Wilgy. :haha:

Dr. Wilgy has only posted one completely off topic post but I guess he's been known to do that according to Kyle (I guess I just haven't noticed) so that leaves Jack who hasn't posted at all. I'm going to go ahead and vote for Jack but does anyone know anything about why he's not here? Like is he on vacation or anything? Maybe my vote will pressure him to participate. I don't know what that means...
Player Salad is a thing Jay says when players talk about or mention a bunch of players they might vote for or suspect all at once, I think the idea is that doing it allows a mafia voting flexibility later on.

I don't have a strong enough suspicion to outweigh not playing and/or bad.

If Loop were playing, I'd feel differently.

IF they hadn't voted in the night vale pole, for a choice which is not likely civ and also not a likely random choice, I'd feel differently. Hence why them and not Jack (hasn't posted at all, but also hasn't acted at all). To know the game is happening and not posting reads bad to me.

And, again, I'll change my vote if reason. But, um, this is kind of a close game on my tv.

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)

Okay so first thing that jumps out is that Spike killed someone successfully. That means he just killed a non human so we can narrow down who Marmot was that way.

Willow (or do witches count as humans?)
Oz
Any of the mafia
Spike
Sweet
The mayor (maybe)
Adam
Glory

Very high likelihood that Spike just managed to kill an anti-civ.

Riley Finn - As part as the Initiative, he is looking to catch all Demons. He is looking for Adam in particular. Riley will choose a player each night, and when he finds a vampire or demon, they will be blocked. If Riley chooses Adam, Adam will be killed.

I suppose it's fairly unlikely for Spike to kill himself though. And since it would appear that Riley was only able to kill Adam and did then that reduces the pool here a bit.

There may have been a tie. Not all factors that could affect the lynch outcome are necessarily public, so I can't answer that.
The story didn't make it sound like there was a tie. If i remember well, LC story posts usually mention this.

If there wasn't one, it could be because DrWilgy is Angelus and several of his votes got deflected.
Or because Darla is one of the Loop voters.
Or because Dawn Summers used a -1 or a +1
Or because of secrets.

Thoughts?
Possible explanation for why Glory killed Wilgy? Maybe Glory is playing pro-civ and took a shot at Angelus?

Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: At the Hellmouth (Day 2)

Glory

Glory is a goddess from an evil dimension. Attempts to detect Glory will result in a false and innocuous reading. Attempts to kill her at night will mostly fail - only the Slayer can kill her. Glory gets one kill every other night, and she must outlive everyone to win.

So Marmot not Glory.

That would leave

Willow (or do witches count as humans?)
Oz
Any of the mafia
Sweet
The mayor (maybe)

Excellent chance that Marmot was anti-town. Even Oz seems to have anti-town qualities tbh. Thanks Spike.

For D1 that's a shit tonne of speculation about who could be teammates and I haven't even quoted it all.

I know you're busy MacDougall from what's been said in the other game, but you've not really furthered any of this in D2. Only discussed the night results and what this could mean in relation to the roles.

lol, I like it. But you can easily say you never saw it. :eye:

SVS is bad TBH. :nicenod:

And Tranq. :srsnod:
SVS has since made a lot of posts. So how you feel about her now?

nutella wrote: Tue Feb 06, 2018 6:36 pm Yeah SVS it's true Speed never went after the Loop voters. He went after the people who missed the vote and then said they would have voted for Loop (or at least that was the case for Ambray... apparently Tranq voted but for rabbit and later said he would have switched to loop if he'd been around) but yeah to be fair you are kind of putting words in his mouth. I do find him suspicious for the other reasons you have pointed out though (his eagerness to jump on those players and his vote for juliets / general eagerness to find easy suspects)
How is it that you can feel like SVS is putting words in speedchuck's mouth but not be sceptical of her because of it? That seems like the kind of nugget one would require to formulate a read in a game of clandestine murder and betrayal such as this.

Who are you skeptical about?
nutella but I tend to surface read her Mafia all the time and her effort posts seem civ. SVS pinged me at some point when I was skimming the thread but I can't figure out what it was. I either am having trouble comprehending but I don't see what is so scummy in speedchuck's posts. This looks like a very sincere bunch. I might need to do a fairly thorough read through again.

wait what? I never said anything about my read on SVS.
That's the point. You say that she put words in speedchuck's mouth but I haven't seen an utterance of a negative read on her. That's the kind of thing that usually creates a ping and a mafia read for me. Misrepresenting people is how scum make cases.

speedchuck wrote: Tue Feb 06, 2018 10:09 pm I'm done. I don't have time to defend against arguments that don't exist, and I apparently can't start up discussion toward lynching someone else without getting suspected.

I recognize Nutella came in and gave some reasons that I'm supposedly bad. The tone of the argument she gave has me waffling on my read of her, even if her arguments are full of it. I regret nothing that I have done in this game.
That's my meta. I never get suspected early in the game when I'm scum. Why? Because I know what I'm doing when scum. This is going to keep my meta rock solid, looks like.

SVS has left me no avenue for escape. There is probably scum on my train.

Good luck with the nightkills, because the only thing you're going to get with your lynches at this rate is shot in the foot, over and over again.

I leave with one concession, toward @nutella and @S~V~S. If you somehow back off and let me live this one night, I can townfirm myself to you without claiming.

Strong Townreads: Sig, Kylemii
Light townreads: Macdougall, Lorab, lapluie
Hmmm smells like a scummy gambit.

S~V~S wrote: Tue Feb 06, 2018 10:10 pm @macdougall to be honest, I thought he was going to go for them before he went for the Loop voter defenders, but he was kind of headed off at the pass. Same with the Loop voter defenders. I worded it poorly, and I think both Chuck and Nutella knew what I meant. His very first post after the lynch, about how did Loop get islynched, felt like a gauntlet to me.
I'm sorry I don't follow. You thought he was going for who before? And what post did he make after the lynch are you referring to? I can't find one that fits... Are you talking about speedchuck or someone else?

Oh, well other than that I've gotten a civ vibe from SVS. I think it is more likely she was either misremembering or wording things badly than deliberately putting words in his mouth, I just made this post to set the record straight.
Well you and I play the game very differently I guess. Something like that would make SVS my top scum read.
