That's funny because I was going to say ColonialBob was mafia based on his plane taxi post. It just felt laid on thick to me. I mean I am on a tropical island 20 feet from the ocean but you didn't know that because I am genuinely distracted and disinterested whereas he had that scummy forced connectivity to the thread that makes you say unnecessary things.

I can't decide how to feel about this snippet, like it's sort of adjacent to Mac's MO of tossing out early reads, but it's a much longer list of reads in random order and it smells kinda funky... maybe it's excusable since he was on vacation and wanted to just list stuff out in one post all disorganized-like because he had to post quickly? but yeah then he does the thing Jay called out re: pursuing colonialbob especially

I did one long read through of the game and only picked up one ping from colonalbon. By the time I got to the end I saw he had also put forth a scum read of me. Hence my posts.

I did the big weird reads list because large game and phone. I ain't going to make a 400 player long rainbow while contending with phone formatting.

Funny, that's exactly what GTH reads are though.

But nobody had a gun to his head? He just posted that list of names out of thin air? There had to have been some reasoning behind those reads

Let me set the scene for you.

I was sitting on the beach watching the world go by and made a post. I thought "what do I think of these players" to myself and then started a gth without looking at the player list. One by one names flooded into my head quickly followed by the emotion I felt about their presence in the game thus far. I had just read a lot of posts and don't have a photographic memory of each post so I couldn't tell you why I felt the way I did without revising. I was going to post the ColonialBob post anyway. Should I have chosen not to because he scum read me first? That sort of behavior fits the profile of scum to me.

I have never called someone scum GTH for no reason. I might not have had the inspiration until the exercise, but I'd still be able to qualify the read in some distinct manner. Even if it isn't about the player being read, there'd be a contextual inspiration (process of elimination, treatment from someone else, etc).

Did I say I have no reason? I haven't had the chance to qualify any of those pings yet. I have been met with a group of players firing a salvo of accusations at me. I am sure with the freedom to extrapolate I will be able to explain them. But I would be able to regardless of my alignment tbh.

I'm not sure I would be so liberal with antagonizing a large group of players without the means to adequately case make to defend myself if I was knowingly scum. But then I probably would wouldn't I.

At any rate I don't think I am scum because I haven't been told I am. I am an ok lynch anyway though because at least as far as day 1 lynches go it won't have been random and there should be something to analyse.

I will be home in about 11 hours from now. So yes. Though I really don't understand the fixation on forcing me to. I would do a better job creating a case on them from thin air as mafia so the more compelling I am the more likely I am to get civ read is annoying logic. I know this sounds weird but I am sure I have exhibited many civ tells during this process but people are tunnelblind.

I don't recall saying anything about the likelihood that X player would select me. All I said on the matter is that I wasn't picked. You said you're often the subject of scrutiny, which is more of a sig reason to civilian read you (Mac gets too much shit too often) than "Mac is too obvious". It's almost the opposite.

Every time I say that mafia members don't blow threads up, I hear dissent and I always end up right. Mafia members can make a lot of posts. Mafia members can lead the thread in posts (they rarely do, but it can happen). In over 100 games of Mafia though across about 10-12 websites, I have never seen a single mafioso completely dominate the post count of a fast-moving game to the degree that dunya has in this game other than a single instance from MovingPictures07 (Mafia Championship Scrimmage, this site).

The next time I see it from someone other than MP will be the first time.
