The problem is if you have too much fun, when you want to get involved with something serious, no one takes you seriously.

In theory.

In reality, I just get too serious too fast and no one takes me seriously anyway.

Theyre cute but they make terrible meat so a no for me.
The game has started in a mild manner we need to stir things up. Force people to read others.

As for Day one Mac i think hes right into the role.

this game is so much more palatable atm than the job.

Let’s see...
JJJ and Quin are camels in a spitting match.
Mac makes some blanket statements that jjj is bad, as well wolbre
Marmot comes in (hi) and WIFOMs the shit out of everything.

Gotta admit. I don’t know what Mac specifically saw in calling out jjj, which raises my eyebrows but I especially don’t like how Marmot entered the game on his behalf.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Quin and jjj just got into a semantics despute. Nova’s vote is a thumb getting caught in a drawer

What do you mean? I'm not following.

I was prodding him with that question since the post pinged me. It felt awkward and forced.

I like loose and funny check-in posts. His felt weird. Like he had it pre-made or he didn't know what to say and just wrote 'check in post'. I like to pay attention to openers since I believe that's a very awkward phase of the game for baddies. There is no flow or pace to the game at that moment.
Now this could just be a difference in culture, but jjj isn’t the “loose and funny” post kind of guy, afaik. But even so, to vote for someone on the basis of their posts feeling “weird” is hardly a solid reason. It’s a blanket statement

M Plus 7 wrote: Mon May 21, 2018 10:55 am You know what, I may be changing my mind re: Jay. I'll explain in a minute.
Looking at Jay's ISO now. I feel heavily conflicted because on the one hand, he has 3 votes and has seemingly made an effort to keep the game moving despite fighting some serious burnout. That points to town Jay.

On the other hand, I feel like I don't understand what happened to Jay's progression of his reads to some extent. He seemed to genuinely suspect Elo:

M Plus 7 wrote: Sun May 20, 2018 9:02 pm Why did you call Elo a mafia read, Jay?
Saying I wasn't genuine in being tired of the game because the game just started sounds like fake shit to me. She may have genuinely misunderstood me, but her interpretation given her understanding is hard to take seriously. Did I expect people to think I went from not tired to tired of this game before Day 1 is half over? Silly.
And this suspicion stemmed entirely from Elo's treatment of him. He immediately discarded it as fake.

Then got into this massive back and forth with Quin starting here, using various over the top language, highlighted below:

I asked you why I'm bad and you gave me a one or the other with nova. Doesn't apply to the rest.
I your exchange with another player, I thought you looked crappier than that player. The rainbow reflects that apparent crappiness. That doesn't imply that one of you must be bad. That you've stuffed that nonsense into my mouth and then pretended I said it is frankly worse than anything you did before that.

You don't suspect me.

Quin wrote: Mon May 21, 2018 12:21 am Remove the word "crappier". You didn't say that. You didn't indicate an actual read in the slightest. I gave you a cue to elaborate on a read of me with something that didn't rely on a comparison between me and nova and you didn't. You stuffed that nonsense in your own mouth. I only have to read your posts to prove it.
That is a read. If I have cause to say that you look distinctly worse than someone else in any dialogue, then that means at least one thing that you said in that dialogue rubbed me the wrong way -- enough to render you an orange.

I don't have to provide some separate read in which I detach you from nova. That's fucking stupid. The read I have of you is derived from your interaction with nova. To demand that I separate you from that and provide the resulting read is to demand that I not have a read.

You're talking with your ass cheeks.
Looking at this again, the beef I have with this is that Jay is immediately discarding both Elo and Quin's thoughts on him as fake. It doesn't seem apparent to me at any point that Jay is honestly considering whether Elo or Quin could genuinely suspect him. He's NO Uing completely.

I initially thought this looked alright, but thinking about it some more, somehow I think I simultaneously hate the Jay wagon (because those other votes are crap), but am starting to wonder if Jay is in fact bad this game.
To your first paragraph: do you think him claiming burnout (which I wholeheartedly find genuine) is AI specifically to him being civ? That’s the opinion I take from you in that sentence.

Correct.

Though I may not hate Quin's vote quite as much, depending on Jay's flip, but it'd be nice if he came in and gave us some sort of content that wasn't Jay-related in some way. Otherwise it's eh. Obviously Dizzy's vote is a throwaway for now; he said he'd properly catch up later. That's NAI. And nova's vote is for strange reasons. It'd be nice if he could come back in and address that.

Normally I'd be in 100% agreement with you. But something's off with Jay this game, and I've tried to articulate why I think that makes him look bad. What do you think of what I've highlighted?
My initial thought during the Quin/JJJ spat was that they look civ. That hasn’t changed.

I agree with your assessment that jjj engaged with Elo and Quin and essentially no-u’d them, but he didn’t hide that fact either. I think he’s backing up his reasoning and is feeling cagey. Which I don’t blame him for- I’d probably be like that too as the front runner on D1.

I think I have to look at the votes on him first and foremost, because I can’t shake he feeling that he has too many errant votes for bs reasons on him. I don’t like nova’s vote, and I don’t even know why dizzy is voting there. Now you’ve come to the conclusion that he’s bad, and there’s a recipe for a mislynch in a 13 Person game.

Unless everyone votig for JJJ right now is town and we’ve just solved the game lol

Yeah, this is suspicious.
Will you ever not find me suspicious? It's hard to take it seriously when you suspect me in every game we play. What's my motive as mafia?

Ridiculous.
Dizzy is a mafia teammate of yours and Jay is a civilian who was well on his way to being lynched? That's a possible motive.
I mean, I guess? I don't play that way as mafia, but sure.
Also in a PoE I could narrow down Dizzy to my final couple players. Regardless of where the vote came from, she's done nothing to make me think she's a civilian.
How on earth do you only have a couple people left on your POE before the day 1 result?

I am just voting for an inactive player rather voting off for some body who's already has a leading vote for lynch in which I don't even think they're bad, everyone is just basically voting off eachother for their own reasons but I don't typically agree, dyslex only has 3 posts so I don't understand why they have votes to begin with. Catching up:

ThNks jjj for doing the interactive analysis. As I suspected, choutas doesn’t have too many interactions with anyone. But there’s still stuff to look at with voting.
M Plus 7 wrote: Tue May 22, 2018 8:02 am Thinking more about wolbre's rainbow where he listed Choutas twice: Would a teammate do that?
This definitely struck me as odd and I’m glad Marmot brought it up. I think that a player could make that mistake in either alignment, but I think even moreso in a situation where a mafioso is moving around names on their spectrum list to make sure they cover all their bases. Matter of fact, j would make sure I didn’t miss my teammates. I think missing teammates would look more damning than not, and double teammates, albeit careless, is a slightly better mistake.

In wolbre’s case, I see definite possibility of teammate collusion there.

M Plus 7 wrote: Tue May 22, 2018 8:06 am I'm torn on Marmot because my gut still thinks he sounds genuine, but another thing I just thought of: Marmot said something to the effect of not understanding the suspicion on him. He also suspects me despite the fact that his EoD behavior is essentially the most comparable to my own. I tend to think I throw out statements like that more when I'm mafia than town, but again, that's a self-assessment off the top of my head so it could be completely inaccurate, and otherwise I'm certainly not comparable to everyone else. Is there any anecdotal evidence about this? Are players more likely to make a statement re: not understanding suspicion as town or mafia, or does it depend on the player?
You’re posing a lot of questions of “would mafia do this” in these posts in a row. But every person is different, soooo trying to read into what the general mafioso would do is like trying to blindly read the nutritional facts on a cereal box.

Would mafia ask so many questions about asking so many questions?

What happened with you and Jimmeeey mi day, btw? That quarrel/discussion thing seemed out of the blue to me and pops up in my head now and then.
I appreciate it. I'm just thinking out loud as much as I can, and hopefully at least some of it is useful. We've hit an awesome result, but while we can continue to kick ass and I hope we do, it can unfortunately go awry from here, so I'm trying to consider all of the possibilities. I've seen town blow something like before by being too closed-minded.

I'm not sure I could articulate anything particularly illuminating other than what's already in the thread. I was distrusting of Jay. I still am, very slightly, but he's OK for now. He apparently thought something I said was nonsense and pushed me on it. I'm not sure what he thinks right now exactly.
How much of jay’s interactive analysis do you agree with? You don’t trust him, so is there anything he brought up that looks awry? I know you already answered your own analysis

Marmot wrote: Tue May 22, 2018 8:53 am Since Choutas was never here at the EoD, I find it less likely that someone who pushed his wagon was bussing him, because he wasn't around to talk about it.

Wolbre's vote was so early on that I don't find it to be town-supporting evidence.

Quin, Kyle, and Jay all built the wagon into a lead. I don't believe any of them bussed Choutas.

MP and I voted last second. I know my alignment, and I've stated my thoughts on MP already.

I have to ask - why? Quin also appears twice and it was just an error in copypasting names over. I don't understand how there could be any degree of correlation between Me listing croutons and queen twice ergo them being on a team with me when coitus flips rabbit
I legitimately want to know what could tie me to this? Many times it feels like people are grasping hard at straws and it feels like you're tinfoiling.

Why are you worried about how it could tie you to it? That’s akin to a guilty person being questioned about a crime they committed and them responding “yeah? Where’s your proof?!”

The thing about the Choutas one is that you listed two very different thoughts. In one you described his meta. In the other, you asked who she was. I just don't understand how you can thinking both of these things about the same person, because thinking one of them doesn't suggest you'd also be thinking the other one.

I also don't understand the Mariah Karie reference so :shrug2:
Okay I feel like I'm being trolled
1. His meta is low posting
2. He was posting nothing (which is less than low) this game -> "who is she" AKA WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU
Is “who is she” a common street slang? I might be a little behind on my cool kid lingo, but if it is, please enlighten me.

But mixing up gender roles in the same post? That looks like a slip, bub. Feels forced.
But again, if it is some sort of common phrase people say, like #shehashadit then the prosecution retracts it’s statement

I believe wolbre04 is in the same lineup as Cooties. The reason I say this is when he had my name in blue, he said he was thinking about "Upickem," which reminded me of this one Iranian ball player Hassan Upickem, who many years ago killed a man and acted like the victim was still alive. Crazy guy actually got away with it. This feels like a similar ruse.
