Yeah. I'm never any good on day one. :p
I guess it's time to work on that, though.
What do you base your D1 votes on?
Well, I normally do an initial lynch on people to get them talking, and then I'll vote for the person who seems scummiest or whose lynch will yield the most information.

Do you feel like your lynch of lapluie is getting him talking? Right now it appears that you ordered Haricots Verts with the expectation of cake and when the green beans show up you just nod and continue patiently waiting on your cake.
I just thought I'd give them a little more time. Chill.
@lapluie, who do you think is scummy? Answer quick, because I'm getting into loads of trouble.
Um what? Why does she need to answer quick? What does her answer have to do with you getting into loads of trouble? What kind of trouble are you referring to? Do not like this post.

Current Reads:

Slight town:
Golden
INH
lap
Mac
Colin

Undecided:
sig
Quin
luna
Kyle
choutas
sig
TH
Epi

slight bad:
Zeph
Scotty
nutella

Linki Golden Don't get caught up in a no u. I think INH is a civ. He's reading your meta talk as a baddie trying to mislead, which is not how I read it.

I'm not sure if I feel Scotty and Zeph both bad. Unless it was distancing. It's easy to place a distance vote on Day 1. Especially if you know your vote isn't staying put.

Seriously, Golden hard core did a no u in U-Pick. How do you not recall that? he and dunya got heated in Day 1. Golden reacts when he feels railroaded as a civ by bs accusations and that's what I think I'm seeing here too.

I don't disagree that any defense using meta is silly. if you know your meta well enough to use it as a defense, then you know it well enough to fake it. The only meta that can be considered is one the player is not aware of. So I don't take into account his meta defense. I do however take into account his behavior, which reads frustrated civ to me. I could totally be wrong, lol, I always have a fear Golden can fool me and I will be too sure of myself.

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 1: Better flush out the PP

Ok, after an ISO of Scotty, I found him all over the place. Yet the only person he doggedly pursued with questioning was Golden and he never had his vote on Golden. And that line of questioning with Golden felt like something more intended to get Golden's feathers ruffled than t o really hunt scum. It just doesn't sit well with me. I don't normally have a problem with someone's vote being all over the place in Day 1. Pressure voting is a real and useful thing at times when done properly. but Scotty almost never accompanied his votes with any real accusations or pressure. It feels fake. If he legitimately suspected Golden, why not vote for him. That is what I keep coming back to.

I'll ISO Golden next ColinIsCool

It wasn't fake, it was my thoughts as I read that post. I don't care if you like or agree. But there is no proof to convince you of whether or not it is fake and I don't care to waste my time trying. I have better things to do, like hunt scum. And frankly, you saying you don't have some kind of impression of me due to Genius only serves to convince me you are bad, beacuse that was a weak ass accusation. you had already decided to vote me before I started posting and you then grasped onto the one post I made with the simple statment that what I said was fake (no reason to back this up or say why you think it is fake) and that I was teammates with lap? I said nothing about lap, I was questioning Zeph. I don't believe you are town.

Also, I will dismiss your accusations as much as I please. If it's a stupid reason to vote for me, I'm under no obligation to do anything. I'm playing to catch scum not waste my time defending against someone I'm not convinced is civ to begin with. bring a real case and I might actually address it. until then, nah.

It's not random, you used it against me in the last game I played against you. And you were wrong then. Just like you are here.

The only reason my vote isn't on you right now is because the last time I suspected you I was wrong. But then, my suspicious were based on your connections with Elo, this time it's all you.

[VOTE: Zephyrus] aubergine
Before he moved to Zeph his vote was on me, it would seem he was only voting for someone who hadn't posted, I could have at most had one post at that point. So Scotty's vote had nothing to do with Zeph's alignment. Golden's question is irrelevant. I just can't decided if he was just lost in the conversation that was going on, or protecting Zeph.

I still lean town, but this is probably my only hesitation about Golden.

INH reads like someone who takes issue with someone using meta as a defense. He's not wrong. Meta is a shit reason to be dissuaded to vote from someone. If you know your meta well enough to use it to defend yourself then what's to say you couldn't use it to trick us into thinking you are civ? I think INH is just focusing on the wrong thing. He is focusing on a shit defense, and letting it blind him to your overall tone and behavior. I don't think INH is bad. I think you guys are civ on civ.

Otherwise the observation is empty. You find baddie conduct in nefarious motive, not something being odd.

Besides, when I said scotty is 100% town I meant it. If you think I’m town then you should not suspect Scotty either. I have no reason to make this up when I was after him half the day.
Look I’m not going after Scotty because you vouched for him. That was enough for me. The reason I’m still discussing what I saw as suspicious is because he’s turning into case against me. Golden if you can’t see my cig game then just Lynch’s he tomorrow. You’re not getting any flips anyway and at thee d of the game then we can talk. Because I have not done anything that should even be a case. I am town.

I can’t believe you of all people are buying into it.

I’m going to leave the thread for now because this has been an exceedingly frustrating game day for me and I’ve wanted to swear at pretty much everyone here except Colin and Kyle. And the worst part is with no flips this is how my whole damn game is going to go. There is no way to show you how fucking wrong you all are.

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Night 1: Who is your best "write-in" candidate?

Read my defense of INH how you want, my gut says it’s civ INH. That’s it. You can continue going on about it, it won’t change it. I’ve been nothing but 100% honest about my thoughts and opinions and all I’ve got to skip for it is a bunch of bullshit accusations. I’m completely baffled by how about 90% of the players in this game are behaving. Whatever.

The thing about Mafia is that we don't have the benefit of knowing who the bad guys are at the start so we have to accuse people until we know more and more often than not will be wrong. Even Lord Mac.
I understand how mafia works but let’s review the only cases that have been brought against me

Nutella: this is fake and she’s bad.
Quin: agree
Mac: daisy must’ve told her baddie teammates in their chat that she can’t contribute so they should bus her.
Scotty: It’s weird to find it suspicious that I didn’t vote for the person I was badgering most of the day
Someone else I can’t remember: Daisy is upset because she is scum that got caught for the wrong reasons.

These are literally the worst cases I’ve ever seen on me. Ever. And if I am upset it’s because I’ve felt like a lot of you that I expected to see those cases for the sheer ridiculousness that they are did, did not see it.

But whatever, I’m done talking about this. Unless someone has something worthwhile to discuss with me about some suspicion they have. Otherwise I’m moving on.

Golden, I didn’t actually read that part from INH when I first said I believed he was town. Normally I would say no blackmailing a vote is not civilian minded. However, even after you mentioned it the first time and I saw it my mind wasn’t changed. Because it’s not just, “would a civ do this?” It’s “Would a civ INH do this?” I could very easily see it. It’s INH. I would be more inclined to think he would do it as a civ than a baddie. Though I could see it either way. I don’t find him more suspicious because of it anyway.

Though I agree with those who say Quin is town, don't see mafia quin doing that.

Not sure how I feel about Daisy preemptive defense about being framed through Nutella's disappearance
If you haven’t picked up yet, I’m putting my thoughts out there fairly unfiltered. That was my immediate thought when I saw the post. Right or wrong that was my knee jerk reaction to that. Someone else pointed out it could’ve been because of her claim of having a cool role too. All I know is she went after me Day 1 and I’m not bad, so if you were in my shoes how would you view that kill?
