I saw some references to multi-ball, none of which contained any references to facts...then I saw some references to those references that basically accepted them as facts. By now I am sure many people know it is multi-ball, and also I am pretty sure there are no facts.

ive played a lot of multiball games outside of the syndicate and its how it works on most places. two mafia teams that can kill each other

The only multi-ball I played the wolf teams definitely could (and did) kill each other...but they did not alternate nights...they each got a kill every night.

Every multiball game that I can remember on the Snydicate featured alternating nightkills for the two teams.

its a 27er game, i dont think that games like this should drag for a month lol, there should be like 3-4 kills total per night in a game this size. id never do alternating night kills in this player size

This is a good read and is sorta something I noticed to, but at the same time I feel like Nanook is more insidious as mafia than this. I feel like Nanook has a great understanding of their town traits and nothing in this game would have pushed Nanook into struggling to do that if that was his goal. I also don't like how willing everyone is to sheep my read on Nanook or look to me for guidance there and I am sure at least one wolf is among those who voted or pushed nanook after I did.

Yeah it's flawed and I'm not at all convinced Nanook is mafia, but it really looks like town!Nutella being convinced she caught a wolf. I don't think wolf!Nutella would scrutinize Nanook's posts at the micro level like that.

This is approximately why I was gonna let the Nutella post pass. It is (IMO) badly flawed, but w!Nutella try harding to push Nanook seems unlikely also. But here's the thing...I saw it flawed, you saw it flawed...how does Sloonei arrive at liking it?

One answer is that a wolf loves it when a strong town cases another strong town poorly.

Another is that for some reason t!Sloonei really read it differently than we did.

Too early to tell which and far too much work to invest because I see no chance of a mostly unknown who just happened to win a couple times on the Syndicate pushing the champ day one, but I will be watching this moving forward.

For exactly the reasons stated. The Syndicate absolutely runs on feelie reads. w!Nanook uses pointless off topic interactions to butter you up, not to attract your attention in any conflict feeling way.

Just like if I were a wolf I'd be blowing smoke up your add by 'mindmelding' on this the same way Sloonei did rather than actually analyzing it.

Because the idea that a w!Nanook would be so hard up for things to talk about that he would pick a fight with a potential town leader over fruit is absurd. w!Nanook picking a fight with some nonentity that no one really knows? Sure. w!Nanook joshing with Nutella to butter her bread a little and buff his postcount? Maybe. Nut what Nutella described there seemed accurate as description, and seemed like something w!Nanook would just never do...so the fact she presented it at all is disturbing, and the way you backed it was even more disturbing.

For exactly the reasons stated. The Syndicate absolutely runs on feelie reads. w!Nanook uses pointless off topic interactions to butter you up, not to attract your attention in any conflict feeling way.

Just like if I were a wolf I'd be blowing smoke up your add by 'mindmelding' on this the same way Sloonei did rather than actually analyzing it.

I think it's really interesting how Nutella and Sloonei are both talking to me with high focus on what I said about Nutella's read on Nanook...which was a day zero nothing that was just flawed in presentation...and Sloonei is trying to pry into that as if what I said about his interaction with Nutella applied there.

Sloonei, in my book your "I like this post" was an attempt, consciously or unconsciously to blow smoke up Nut's ass. There was really nothing likeable about that post, and apparently I am not the only one to notice. Now, you're a nice guy, and the Syndicate really lends itself to smoke up the ass blowing, so I'm not gonna lock you in as scum for something that may have just been part of your regular persona...but it could be agenda driven w!Sloonei. We'll wait and see.

I know someone from MU who played a 3p scum faction exactly the way she would play town, like putting lots of thought in solving and townreading/scumreading exactly the same people she would as town with the exception of her teammates. However, if I randed 3p (which I still never have) I imagine I would strategically tweak my reads to improve my appearance and further my team's agenda. Do we think most scum members would solve just like they would as town except for their teammates or strategically change their reads from what they actually believe?
Tim will play scum whatever way he thinks gives him the best chance to win
I've never actually played with Tim but I did barely skim his champs qualifier at one point, does he always try really hard to look towny and post a lot as wolf or is that just a champs thing?

That was my second wolf game ever and while I enjoyed the acclaim it is probably not sound reasoning to think it locked me into that particular approach. It wasn't "just a champs thing" but it also wasn't likely to become my "definitive wolf meta."

Wow, I knew you were newer but that's really impressive for your second wolf game ever.

I think the first one was better, to be honest. It was in my home community though where I could play big fish and really drive the thread.
