alot of the reason my scumreads fall out in games is that I subscribe to the idea that if my push is wrong eventually, at least 1 scum will sheep me and join that read. After X amount of hours if zero people join me or even comment I usually conclude that scum is way too scared to try to join a moth led lynch- or thay scum doesnt see that lynch being successful.

there have been instances where ive caught scum right away, made the case, and everyone thought I was just really stupid/slow/weird and my ideas had no merit. The last thing id expect is to catch scum early, and other scum to bus based on a moth push.

ted started out just reading the thread, meming with a few gifs at stuff, and peacing out. Then there was a brief period where ted was doing stuff. now ted's just tunneling me for bad reasons and is ignoring anything else. no one really wants to vote out the tunneler. they'll just say "oh it's town but wrong" and if he gets his way and I flip they're more likely to look at the bandwagoners than at ted himself. It's an easy strategy that'll end up with ted spewing nothing, avoiding talking about half the game, and safely getting through probably at least the first 2 days with limited suspicion.

jsyk I am currently playing three games including this, obsessively spectating two others, and purportedly working at the same time, and even then I feel like I've done a fair bit more than the bare minimum here. whenever I've been available to do so I've been in the thread giving takes and interacting as time permits

A lot of people scum read him but there has been next to no chatter from or about him. He’s just there.

GAZE IN WONDER as i struggle to catch up with 70 pages of game. i've switched to isos to try to get a picture but i do still feel like i'm having trouble getting a feel for what's goin on here.

one thing i think is weird is this game has real complicated mechanics and nobody is talking about them, really. like what does it mean that MJ is the last remaining member of their triumvirate? their sol, hope, and glory should be wrecked at this point. my instinct is that this makes them a safer yeet, since they probably don't have a PR they can use anyway, and hope is most useful for wolves anyhow--so we're probably not gonna be dropping a bunch of stats onto a wolf by doing so.

otoh, mafia did presumably kill within MJ's triumvirate, so they must not have cared too much about hurting MJ's night action potential.

like you can always wifom a nightkill but they have a lil more strategic nuance to them this game than others i would think.

Regarding your claim, I just honestly do not know what to do with it. I have literally no idea what the mechanics/roles of this game can be because I usually play with another set of roles. I feel like I'm learning to play a new game without having read the rules and as a "sequential learner" I'm definitely out of my comfort zone but whatever Unless you have something else to add, it's a piece of information sitting in my head that will probably not connect to the rest any time soon.

feels like there's a meta against defending yourself here, maybe that's what seems off about this game to me. like MJ produced a pretty spirited defense, but both tony and outed wolf are like *shrug*. wilgy dropped some AtE that was interesting at least iirc.

in retrospect, i think tony's very laid back reaction to moth having a guilty check on him is a good luck for tony tbh.

iirc tony and moth played together in champs, makes sense.

i was one of those townreading him because d0/1 was very unlike his champs game, but as OW pointed out, this is such a drastic falloff in quantity & quality between d2 and d3 it is wild. i was pretty excited to join a game with moth and it feels like as soon as i do he's not even here
