I don't understand how she thinks it's worthwhile to say that if she doesn't mean she agrees with Jay, and I find it hard to believe she didn't think it would be taken that way. It appears that you and Luna both think the same way. Let me ask you this, since the concept of liking the way a person arrives at a conclusion without necessarily agreeing with that conclusion is difficult to grasp, do you believe there is more than one way to achieve a goal?
If someone says “This is how I wash a window. This is the only right way.” Would you agree with them? Or would you think, hmm, that’s not how I wash windows, and my windows are clean.
If someone thinks a situation through, and explains their thought process (whether I agree with them or not), it may or may not be the same way I would think it through, but I can still appreciate their reasoning. I’m not going to say they have to think the same way that I think.

So, with that thought covered, I’ll now voice an opinion, although it is apt to change. I frequently find people who are aggressive on day zero and day one, to be bad. At this early point in the game, I’m looking at the aggressive people.

This argument has been taken too far and too literally. Of course I understand that it's possible to like the way someone thinks without agreeing with their conclusion. That's not my problem. My problem is how you used that phrase to mean that literally when it is often interpreted in casual conversation to mean agreement, and somehow you didn't dispel the natural implicature and freaked out when people drew that conclusion from your statement. Maybe this is just a cultural/idiolectal difference between us but the way you are increasingly logicking your way out of this argument is giving me bad vibes.

Not necessarily. Liking the way you think isn’t the same as agreeing with how you think. It’s too early for me to decide whether someone is bad or not.
Matahari, usually when someone says, "I like the way you think," it means "I agree with your thought process." I have never been told "I like the way you think" followed with, "but I disagree with you."

Just saying this feels like a strange backwards progression in response to Jay's question. Was there something else Jay said that you agree with other than his indiglo suspicion?
In my case, it means I like the way he explained his thought process. I don’t have to agree with his or anyone’s conclusions, but it is nice to see how they arrived at those conclusions.

I got a more fake vibe from it than I have gotten from civ jay poo-flinging in other games though. Like it was more forced than usual and I feel like he usually tries to generate more varied/interesting content at the beginning of d1 than just "Z bad, Y bad, X good" for several posts.
