Thing is, I remember SVS being like that, taking a stand and landing it firmly, so I'm not seeing a baddie inclination here. Also, SVS has asked several times for people to clarify whether this sounds like civ luna, and no one has responded, which echoes for me back to my last game where I had a lot of new faces to figure out and kept asking for advice on metas.

So I'm not suspecting SVS, but I at least see what sig had noticed.

Re: Mafia: A World Asunder - GAME THREAD [Night 1]

Truth meta off topic stuff
Spoiler: show
Truth meta in general is kind of a refusal to play the game, as was said earlier. If you want to solve the game like it's a mystery instead of defending yourself and working within the confines of the game, then start up a PM conversation with the host and observe as a non-player. Or you could play games that are last man standing, which are more about popularity, challenges, and roles than hunting.

A mafia truther can ruin it for their whole team. A town truther can disrupt the flow of the hunt and the balance of the game as well.

There are various degrees of truthing, though. If I tell people in the game that, hey, I've got company today and won't be posting much, that's a truth meta for me because it's IRL stuff. I don't lie about that, and most if not all of the people here tell the truth about that stuff.

Hmmm I feel like writing an essay on mafia ethics.

Sloonei wrote: Mon Dec 10, 2018 1:56 pm What's your read on Sloonei? What's your read on anyone not named Sloonei?
Decent guy. His play reminds me of his Mega Man mafia play, which I dearly wanted to lynch him over at the time. Some isolated things about the way he defends himself seem scummy, but just based on what I've read I'm pretty sure he's town. He does have an odd way of talking in third person, though.

I also agreed with his case on Juliets. I was already looking at her because of a post after the D1 lynch where she apologized like, really hard. Looked like scum guilt. I don't know whether she voted on his lynch or not, though. Light-to-mid scumread there.

Epi is town.

Nutella is town.

DDL... I'm leaning town.

Leaning town on Luna as well. I think I'm starting to get a handle on her playstyle. It's mostly a gut feel based on how snarky and up-front she's been about her play, in the few posts I've seen. Very transparent in playstyle, in her defense of Wolbre and everyone's reaction to that.

So there's a few. I want to read over some Colin stuff next, I think. If you have any suggestions for me to skim ISOs of today (tonight?) then I'm game.

Can I please have some of that salad.
It's a quiche, fool.

Try not to take it into account.
Spoiler: show
In the five or so days this game has been running, I had company constantly for 36 hours, then got a fever/bug right afterward that's been plaguing me off and on. I'm sitting home now, seeing if the food I just ate will give me what I need to get a half day in at work.
I should still be able to be around this afternoon.

I'm not caught up. As of right now, there are like 18 pages earlier in this game I have not and probably will never read. @ me when you want me to address things.

I'm always auto-defaulting to "ignore all flavor impact" mode. GoC this year was a rude awakening.

I'm putting sprityo and G-Man down as not likely Corrupt Remnant for now.

Since when do the night posts reveal alignments?
Something I saw while skimming.

I'd clear neither of these. G-man worse than Sprit. TH left a vote on G-Man and did nothing with it as far as I know. Seems like easy distancing cred, and you're giving it to him.

speed are you saying the comment about sprityo is also distancing cred?
No, I don't think so. TH is the one possibly distancing. Tranq would be the one allowing it or falling for it or enabling it or whatever. NAI for Tranq IMO.

This sentence bugs me. It's overly apologetic and... like, IDK why it's there. "I understand what happened." He got lynched is what happened. Of course you read through EOD, that's how you know what happened.

Can you elaborate on why this sentence is here?

It means I understand it all happened at the last minute and was a surprise and I was sorry that happened to him. I talked him into playing so I felt bad.
Okay, that's the context I needed. I didn't see a reason for you to feel guilty, and that's what it looked like.

I think Sloon's info is helpful, but I think this isn't a very good way to use it. These are team kills, not individual kills. I'd rather look at the Sloonei Five and lynch based on merit instead of NK analysis, especially in a setup like this.

I got linki'd and apparently this has already been said. I'll shut up until I finish the thread.

She is capable of arguing back and forth with someone for 20 pages because she wants to lynch the same person they do, but for a much more complicated reason that involves a long string of ability combos, and she won't accept the simple reason.

She is the deity people pray to when they need inspiration to tinfoil.

Still waiting to see that tinfoiling in this game.
