Shadow Corridors Mafia [GAME OVER]


Independent-3rd Party Roles: 3
-Gambit Demon: During the day, select a player to bargain with. You will join a chat with the player who can choose to accept your help *SECRETS*

-Puppeteer: You are the head of the CULT OF THE SHADOWS At the close of each day cycle, you invite a player into your organization via a dream. Everyone invited into the Dream can speak amongst each other during Night cycles as long as they are alive. You can spectate and participate in the chat anonymously (posting as "SAVIOR").

*SECRETS*: Everyone brought into the Penthouse is unknowingly marked.
At Night, the members of the Dream can elect to target a player with a pseudo-factional nightkill. People who successfully connect their intentional kill (not roleblocked or busdriven) will instantly die and kill their target through all forms of inherent protection. You can only maintain a maximum capacity of three people, and only one suicidal kill can be performed by the your group per night. If a mass disagreement over killing arises in the conversation, you are given the power to decide which kill would be carried out.

All wording aside, the Cult is NOT A REAL CULT and thus has no impact on any of the invitee's win conditions. You win when 50%+1 of all living players possess the DARKNESS MARK (marker), OR the game is reduced to three or less people alive (bodystacker).

-3rd Party Secret Role: *Secrets*



Mafia: 6
-Mastermind-Obliterator: While you are alive, other Mafia members appear anonymous while in mafia chat. You count as a Mafia Member. You steal Wincon from the Mafia if Mafia wins. You can Obliterate players at night by matching players to roles. You can do this every night until you make a wrong guess. Obliteration cannot be redirected or protected against.

*SECRETS* You survive the first attempt on your life. At night you can choose to sacrifice your life to give the mafia team a one shot soup kill. If at least 1/3 of players are soupkilled in the game after you die you will achieve an alternate win con. You may not reveal this to anyone

-Mafia Templar: During the day, select a play to have btsc with for the night.
-Mafia Nexus: Redirect all non killing actions a player receives at night to a random different player, no double targeting.
-Mafia 1-Shot Doppelganger: Copy another role and keep your current win condition.
-Mafia Secret Role 4
-Traitor: Does not count towards mafia total. Does not have group chat w/ mafia. Aligned with the Mafia *SECRETS*

When targeted for the night kill, permanently join mafia btsc




Town: 16

-One-Shot Tracker: Once during the game, visits a player at night and learns who they visited

-One-Shot Ninja Vigilante: Once during the game, can kill one person during the night phase. It will not be counted as a visit.

-One-Shot Watcher: Once during the game, visits a player at night and learns who visited them.

-Auto-Blocker: Roleblock anyone who visits you. Cannot roleblock kills.

-Busdriver: Swap two player’s positions as targets.

-One-Shot Mayor: Once per game you may change the lynch result to No Lynch.

-Jailer: When a No Lynch occurs you may bring in a player for questioning. You will remain anonymous. At the end of the night, you can choose to release or kill the player. The player cannot be targeted by other night actions while jailed and cannot perform any actions.

-Leeroy: Kill yourself to determine the day’s lynch target. Sets remaining Day time to 24 hours.

-Doctor: Chooses a player to protect every night.

-Oracle: Publicly Reveal a player’s role when you die. You can change targets every night.

-One-Shot Loudmouth: When activated, all player’s who visit you that night are announced upon daystart. It does not say that you were the one who was visited.

-Tough Flavor Cop: Check a player and discover any *secret* information. You cannot be killed by the person you target that night. If you are in a Draw scenario for Endgame, you will be unable to survive in that instance.

-Seraph Knight: choose a player to protect during night 1. For the rest of the game you will visit that player every night and protect them from night kills.

-Odd-Night Town Desperado Gunsmith: On Odd nights, give a player a gun. The gun will kill the target and then the player. Activated by posting “shoot [player]” in bold, underline, AND color

-One-Shot Blacksmith: Once during the game, give one player a Bulletproof Vest.

-Town Secret Role #1

Prologue: Awakening

A group of strangers begin to wake, all shackled to walls in a four-sided room. The air is ripe with mildew and mold, mysterious stains adorn the ground and ceiling, and it's near impossible to see. There is no apparent exit at all. In the center of the room is a simple wooden chair with a simple wooden desk. A lone candle burning on the desk is the only light in the room, and in the chair is a hunched figure with a cane. The figure removes an object from underneath its cloak with a gloved hand and places it ever so quietly on the desk before returning to the hunched position. No one dares make a sound, only observing in anticipation. There's a click, and then a pre-recorded voice begins. It sounds garbled, as if with a filter to hide any indication of gender or personality.....or being.

"Welcome, one and all. We are so happy to have you attend today's experiment. Most of you are here to atone for your sins and others.....are here to ensure that happens. You all must have questions as to where you are. Are you dead? Is this a dream? None of those will be answered. You may only know that the ones who atone will be allowed clemency and freedom."

*CLACK*

The tape stops. Questioning, fearful, and angry looks begin filtering into the faces of everyone present. Whispers merely begin before the cloaked figure stands with speed and silence. They again reach into the cloak and retrieve a pair of handcuffs and place it onto the table. Finally they reach out and snuff the candle, enveloping everything in darkness. The sound of a loudspeaker crackling to life is heard by everyone:

"May he who wish to atone first, submit to judgement!"

Lights flicker on along the creases in the floor and ceiling, just enough to offer visibility. The center of the room is empty save for the desk, a clock, the handcuffs and what appears to be a heavy metal ring mounted to the floor. The shackles release. The clock starts.

Rules:

-No OOC or Dead Chat in the Game Thread. Only players and the host(s) may post.
-Refrain from ciphering or concealing posts. This includes writing in the same color as the background.
-Please, this is a game. Take it easy, play to have fun, but play to win! We all want to have fun. Remember that.

Setup:
This Setup includes some unfamiliar terms and roles that you might have questions about. To further explain them I will list it below:

Obliterator: Obliterator is a type of role that can eliminate other roles with a soup-kill. In this setup it has been combined with the Mastermind role.
Mastermind: Mastermind is a 3rd party role that aligns with the mafia. It's purpose is to give the mafia a second objective in having to win as well as pose a problem to them.

Finally, this is a Semi-Open Setup with role reveals on lynches and day kills unless otherwise prevented. Night kills will be no reveals unless changed.

“And with this latest one, that makes 25….” A man slides a photo over a crowded desk to a second man pouring over files in his filing cabinet. The desk is already littered with various folders already taken out of the cabinet. The first man stoops over and picks up a name placard that had fallen on the ground from all the overcrowding. “You know Adams, I think we might have a lead soon on this case.” He sets the “ADAMS” placard back on the desk.

Adams finds the file he is looking for and sets it on his desk next to the photo before responding, “Oh? And what’s this lead mister ace detective? Please don’t tell me it’s-”

“Yeah. It is. It’s the Cult. I am almost positive!”
“Maxie, you know that’s a Hoax right? The media has been spinning this shit for months. Don’t tell me you’re that desperate?”
“Adams, you’re my friend and the best PI I know. Besides, you know I wouldn’t come here without proof.”

Maxie reaches into his coat pocket and pulls out a small object. He presents it, a small golden coin with a red insignia on it. “And that’s not all,” he says before flipping it over. A set of numbers are written onto the other side. “Are these…..Lat-Long coordinates?” Adams asks.

“Spot on. I found this in my mailbox this morning along with this message.” He pulls out a folded piece of paper from the inside of his coat and reads it.


To Detective Maxie Raymond and Mr. Killian Adams,

The final pawn has been obtained.
The game will start soon.
You’ve both been invited to observe and participate.
Tell no one else or risk the consequences.
We look forward to your appearance.

11/21/2020: Thread is posted, new flavor is up, and roles will be sent out once the last unconfirmed players notify me that they want a sockpuppet or not
11/23/2020: All Players Confirmed, Roles to be sent out tomorrow.
11/24/2020: All roles have been sent out along with Sockpuppets. Roles that are secret or have secrets will receive their role in their PM while everyone else will not. Mafia do not have btsc until Day 0 (Friday).
11/26/2020: thread will open tonight for day 0 and remain open through Friday, day 1 will start Saturday 10am EST and last 24 hours. All following days will be 48 hours. Effectively, this makes a 60 hour starting time. Also a player has had to drop out so I’ve removed the second town secret role and re assigned the player. Do not discuss this facet any further.

There was only about an hour between Adam’s office and the location on the coin. While Detective Raymond drove them, Adams decided to bring his briefcase stuffed with all the missing persons files he believed to be connected to this case. The only relation these people had with each other was that none of them were directly related. Either by job, neighborhood, family, friends, friends of friends, past crimes or lack thereof, achievements, schooling, or age.
“More importantly Maxie, how and why are we the ones being asked to do this? The risk here is beyond ludicrous.”

“You’ve got me there. In any case, hopefully this doesn't take too long. I should have dinner waiting for me by the time I get home.”

The city streets and suburbs have given away to more grassy outskirts and overgrowth by this point. Not too much longer an inconspicuous dirt road leads off the highway. It went deep into the trees and shrubbery until finally coming to a stop by a small creek and a sewage tunnel.

“Great... Let’s get going. I just can’t wait to smell like literal shit,” Detective Raymond laments.

does that mean the Mastermind/Mafia knows who we all are? @sprityo
No it means that between the mafia they can swap roles with eachother. This obviously does not include roles that are not aligned with the mafia.

After what felt like forever, the lights turn back on. instead of one hallways the group now finds themselves in the center of an intersection, each of course leading into darkness.

The voice comes back on, "This is not the worst outcome, but neither is it a preferable one. Send forth your chosen to their fate. Another sacrifice is required. Until all the sinners are gone this is what will occur. You have 48 hours."

NO ONE HAS DIED. DAY ENDS IN 48 HOURS OR 11PM EST WEDNESDAY

okay so mafia dont even have mafia chat with each other

i guess that the obltierator/mastermind also doesnt nkow their real identities. he knows code names like

Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange

and these 4 codenamed ppl only have private chat with the mastermind, who gets to direct ppl aroudn/boss them around etc

yea, mafia kinda shafted in this setup

i suppose mafia could know some of each other's identities, depending on what did the obliterator tell them / lied about / guided them
This is incorrect, there is only one btsc, sorry if that was confusing

All wording aside, the Cult is NOT A REAL CULT and thus has no impact on any of the invitee's win conditions. You win when 50%+1 of all living players possess the DARKNESS MARK (marker), OR the game is reduced to three or less people alive (bodystacker).
