I'm old enough to remember watching Star Blazers (the US version) when it was "live" on TV. When I got to prime "sailing the seven seas of the internet" age I went looking for the original that it was based on and fell in love with the original story. I also picked up copies of GoLion, the inspiration for Voltron. Didn't like that as much as Voltron tbh.
Then there was the live action Space Battleship Yamato which is just a masterpiece, go watch it.

This is the order: Steins Gate, Madoka, Digimon Adventure: Our War Game, Dragonball Z, General slot for most gibli movies knowing they are spread through the list, HxH, Kill La Kill.

All other lists are incorrect as anime was a mistake.

Naruto was awesome until one moment, Bleach was close but the one who won my top place was Kuroko no basket.
Since then i didn't watch other anime, and I only read mangas.
I want to watch Yuri on Ice though but i don't have time
