My theory is that Kate thought Sean is JD

Honestly I had thought similar about Mata at different points, especially when she talked about Mac being JD. If she knows or thinks Mac is town, that's a fight that's incredibly stacked in Mac's favor and imo not something evil Mata would try to instigate. Eh I'd read attempts to undermine town leadership as pretty scummy, there was definitely some paranoia floating around about him and her post misrepresented events just slightly as well. Whereas I would expect town making that push to have actually investigated the sequence of events and realized that Mac posted about the tracking before Sean revealed his info.
The fact that Mac said he tracked Kate to Dennis before Sean volunteered his info, and then Mac seemed very perturbed afterwards is what made me more suspicious of Mac. I posted again about this, because I wanted to know where Mac was going with it. Was he going to ask what Kate happened? Or was he going to ask what her thoughts on Dennis were? Why was it so important to out himself so soon in the game, just to say he tracked Kate to Dennis. Then Sean joined him which was actually good news, but Mac seemed to be angry over it.
I was surprised that no one else wondered where Mac was going with his role outing.

I'll have to go back and look at that sequence of events in context again to see if this seems like a reasonable perspective.

This is as close I can get to the VC around P#1182 where Matahari wanted to make a decision between the 3 top wagons but with the intention openly stated to vote tutuu.
On one hand I can't blame her, tutuu gave me a hard time by the way she posted and attracted so much attention, but otoh this is a way to go with the flow and vote in the highest wagon and this doesn't look so good.

I know my wagon was previously at 4 with SVS and Epi on it and also in short time a wagon of 4 votes will pile up on DOOM after Epi voted, Rondo in P#1236 and Jack in P#1244

The dynamic of these t/t/t/t wagons is interesting, I wonder if mafia and sins had much reason to fight for a mischop when town was so eager to do their job.

Maybe you’re being framed idk. John Doe is supposed to gain mafia partners, but maybe John Doe is supposed to kill the sins, just like in the movie. He’s a lone serial killer who believes he is smarter than everyone else, so I could see that happening. When you said that you tracked Kate, maybe you ‘stalked’ Kate. In other words, maybe you’re just claiming to be a town tracker, but you’re an SK who stalks on odd nights. Idk. Or maybe JD is not supposed to kill the sins, and when you said you tracked Kate to Dennis, you didn’t think about someone else popping up with more info, like Seanzie did, so you had to sacrifice a potential partner.
Or maybe I just don’t trust players who lead the thread, thinking of Golden in the anniversary game here as a great example. I’m trying to be rid of preconceived inclinations, and trying to balance circumstantial evidence with a lot of maybes. It’s overwhelming in role madness games to try and feel sure of anything. But for now, I can’t help feeling you’re the big bad.

The problem is we don't even know if John Doe is uninformed. He could be able to genuinely solve for the sins who aren't mafia aligned.

Yeah I'm just kinda running with the hope that there is some informed faction at this point, even if it's very small. Either that JD knows all the sins or has recruited so knows like... one?

Because otherwise I don't really know how to approach solving if everyone can authentically scumhunt. Besides just following mechanics.

Why is this important for you?

I never saw this so in case you still care about the answer - it depends on how good of a read rate they each have on you, but I've found digging into diametrically opposed reads on the same player to be fruitful before, particularly if the players involved are generally decent at reading the subject. I wanted more detail on each of their perspectives.

I suspect I'm going to end up with too many town reads because of how easy it would be for uninformed purple dudes to slip into town mindset. But maybe that'll help me find John Doe? Idk.

I'm not demanding, I'm literally just asking a question so I can try to understand your perspective. I already talked earlier about why I still have falcon as town after reading his ISO.

I don't know why you're responding to me like this, or why Roxy went off on me for a post where I was asking for help in getting caught up on the gamestate, and honestly it doesn't make me feel inclined to keep trying.

It's a fucking game and real life took precedence for me for a couple days. Like the audacity to rake me over the coals for not doing anything in response to me trying to do something...

I was just telling you that you are in my poe. I thought it might make you do some reads instead of just sheeping someone else. Most of the poe's today have been different. We need townies to solve not just sheep imo.

I was never planning on sheeping someone else, I just wanted an update on where things were at generally. Sean just happened to be the only one who replied and then he flipped town so I started with looking into the people he mentioned.

I am used to larger POEs whereas it seems most people here are just posting their current guesses for the remaining 5 scum. What I was looking for was something more like, "of the 14 players in the game, we generally think the remaining baddies are in this group of 8, so focus your solving efforts there". And I was hoping for more responses so I could see where there was overlap.

I agree with your Mac and Thunal town reads, and I'm fine with nanook and Wilgy (and Dennis obvs) as POE. I don't have strong feelings on anyone else at the moment though I'm working on it.

I'm not just sheeping, otherwise I wouldn't be bothering with the ISOs. It's going to be impossible for me to read everyone right now so I was asking for help prioritizing and I will make my own decisions on the people I have time to look at.

One comment from Mac caught my eye as I was going through, I saw mention of mech clearing a couple times but is it just because he's an odd night tracker and confirmed...something with the Dennis/Kate situation?

Just read through falcon's ISO and I still think he's town. There's a nice casual and open flow to his thoughts and reads that just feels pure.
