Currently I'm most suspicious of KJ and Falcon. KJ for the push on storm. Early game I feel like that is probably crutch, they are both from the same home forum. But I explained why I could see scum!KJ sticking that landing. I also feel like they are a touch defensive about my switch yesterday, trying to cast it in a disparaging light because it happened late day. Except it was reactionary to the other late day votes that were thrown, specifically storm's silent self vote. Falcon, I feel, is just nicely paired with KJ. While I wouldn't say falcon has hard defended KJ, they have been trying to sow doubt on the idea of a maf KJ and throwing shade on Caitlin who was actively voting KJ most of D1. Given KJ hasn't really done anything to land themselves on the upper echelons of a reads list, this seems notable.

My tinfoil pick is Roxy though. With the tinfoil being mafs!Roxy inquired into everybody's connections in order to off the player most likely to be widely readable for town. KJ/Falcon team seems much more plausible though.

I'd probably top deck Caitlin currently on town side. I'm basing that on one game meta. Believe it.

I've only played with Pyxxy, falcon and Caitlyn.

I would have no way of knowing if anyone new to me was being "widely town readable" after 3 pages of a D 1.
If I was bad I would have killed Pyxxy or falcon.

I just meant that Rag, having the most connections to other players, would be capable of being found town by the greatest number of people through respective shared experience. That wouldn't really require you to have experience with everybody else, just a willingness to ask who has experience with who. It's a tin foil for a reason though, for sure.

Why wouldn't killjoy come up w/ a better reason to lynch a player if they were Maf? They put Storm at 2, every other wagon was at 1 IIRC

Simply put, they'd have to come up with a reason. Storm, for KJ, was going nowhere. He's basically the only person KJ leveled any suspicion at all day. Lowest effort for a maf!KJ would be to vote storm. Voting looks better than not voting. Pretty basic stuff.

I totally clicked "don't vote, see results" or whatever and then voted the slot afterwards so I seem quite capable of voting that slot as it is counting me towards the percentage, but considering the vote is RVS I don't really care if it shows up in the official count.

Also your vote on KJ feels opportunistic consider KJ's lack of experience with you would lead him to not know if your vote is serious or not.

I disagree with this take on Caitlin's vote. They explained why - more than once- does not matter if they have never played together......

It absolutely does. For KJ to know that Cait was doing an RVS vote would require knowing the type of player Cait is. Without that knowledge it's very plausible for KJ to assume Cait was voting seriously and ask about RVS. Cait, on the other hand, feels like her vote was obvious RVS and that should have answered KJ's question before he asked it and used that for the basis of claiming his intro post was awkward. But realistically that foundation doesn't exist. I'm pretty sure I saw you quote and question Caitlin's original vote, so I have to assume you can see that it's not an obvious RVS vote as well. If that's the case, wether you think KJ's intro post seemed off for other reasons or not, you could at least agree that it wasn't obvious Caitlin was RVS'ing and her using that as the basis for her vote would be opportunistic. With that said, I don't think it's outside the norm for town to take opportunities when they arise, so that's not like a smoking gun. Probably not even a warm gun. Just something to take note of as all things are being considered.

Probably not? The games I've played with him have been on his home turf so new players were the minority in those games. In my experience he's not a commanding presence especially early game though. I don't think I've seen him roll scum.

Not when you do it hypocritically. Early flimsy attacks should have a purpose and meaning. An unexplained vote out of nowhere can generate discussion and reactions. Chastising somebody for doing something you just did is likely to get your attack ignored or dismissed quickly. Take her stance on KJ's RVS. It got shut down with one line and hasn't been brought back up since. Town reaps no benefit from that. It's a pretty flat move in terms of pros and cons for town.

Totally added an h there that wasn't supposed to be. Wintreath. That's Abi's stomping grounds so I'm not sure on the proper pronunciation but I usually say like wint-wreath in my head.

Rag and I are from the same site, much experience. I know killjoy and Storm/SonofRaiden from ZeldaDungeon and have a few games experience with both. Lain I mostly know of rather than know, through secondary conversations in discord between Rag and others. Although I guess I have been present for Lain's entire mafia career if this is only faer second game. To my knowledge I don't know anybody else.

Well I find it annoying that people are voting the Spectators option, despite the host having said we aren't allowed to do so, and next pretending I'm the wrong one for saying it's illegal.

Seems silly to be annoyed that I did something over 12 hours before the host asked people not to do it and then pretend that I did it directly in defiance of the host. But, you know, whatever you gotta do to feel like you're catching scum I guess.

It definitely was, considering I'm the one Caitlin quoted when saying I couldn't vote spec. I responded by saying I seemed more than capable considering I was actively doing it, which is tongue in cheek on my part (as her exact language was you can't and not you shouldn't) but also is the very response that she's referring to in the secondary.

I have played one game with Caitlin before so I wouldn't say this behavior is alignment indicative from my limited experience, but I certainly wouldn't say it's pro-town to jump on people for RVS when that's clearly what they are. And it certainly doesn't move the game towards a more serious tone as she's not actually bringing any case work forward herself. It just makes it look like she is, which is something I could see mafs jumping in thread to do. Doubtful that's her intention though, regardless of alignment.
