This actually makes a lot of sense to me. All the talk surrounding how useless and incorrect and flawed DH's vote stats were pinged me big time. It felt like DH hit a nerve and a few people were rushing to completely discredit what he was saying. Since when is any kind of vote analysis useless???
BECAUSE it has no merit this early in the game; BECAUSE people are on at the same time due to schedules etc; BECAUSE it was just useless. I could say that because you are replying to DH and I think he is bad, then you must be bad. You posted after DH, you must be bad.

Geez.
It was not "useless". It was a simple record of people that voted for both Droopy and Vomp with some added stuff about vote timing. DH did not in any way come to the conclusion that any one person in his vote post "must be bad". It certainly wasn't "useless" in that it got some great discussion going. I think he may have hit something with all the "oh my god, that date is stupid and useless and makes no sense" stuff TBH. A few people went a little overboard in trying to debunk DH's conclusions when he didn't even make any conclusions! I think he's on to something with the responses. :ponder:
So then why did he slip in the "I am going to vote LT"?

Again, I was not the first to comment that his analyses served no purpose at this point in the game. Later, maybe it will help. So, I comment.... and BOOM! DH says THAT is his case... the fact that I commented. Something that others have also done.

Now, here you are joining him. I am sorry, but you cannot tell me that his analyses has any bearing on shit right at this point.

Maybe there is something to the fact that YOU are jumping on DH's bogus case. I mean, how convenient, right? Easy vote. DH has even said that he is trying to stop "sheeple votes" - so clearly he is just stirring the pot. Yet you jump on it.

Except that all it has done is distract from actual discussion of the actual possible baddies. But, maybe that is the plan.

My eye is still on FH, tbh. Although, I am not ready to vote her atm. Her explanations about the books rang true to me.

Instead, I am now very interested in reywaS. I think he has played this game long enough that him jumping on DH's "case" makes me very suspicious of him.

*vote reywaS*

I am not being mean. I just don't see that you have made any kind of valid case against me - so I pointed out why it was non-existent as well as how your vote analysis was not valid. I assume all that useless analysis supposedly validates your non-existent case

Something is up with the way you are posting, and I am not sure what it is.
Flyin' High wrote:If I sounded at all like I contradicted myself, I'm sorry. My mistake was this: MP asked me which book I'd like to read from last night. I immediately responded "Green!" while thinking to myself green=alien.

Then I received my PM response from MP telling me Frank Zappa's role and I was confused because I thought I'd be getting one of Ziltoid's Army's roles. So I went to look at the roles and did a major facepalm because I realized I'd mixed up the civvie color with Ziltoid's army color. Image

It was a dumb mistake. But I owned up to it because it's honestly what happened.

And then as for choosing whether or not to reveal what I learned, based on the one role I learned about, I made the decision that the Frank Zappa and the civvies as a whole would benefit from knowing that by him using his power at night, he can be recruited to the Residents or worse, killed.

I thought that was helpful to share. If it wasn't then I honestly apologize. I was trying to do good not bad. :(
I can actually believe this defense. It does sound very plausible.

Hmmm, when I first read that, it seemed to me that it was a bit of wittiness... so not sure if that, alone, proves anything as to alliance. The PA people seem to like to have a bit of fun with each other from what I have seen so far. To me it looked like a play off a previous post.

3. LT's ignored me going after her all day today. Didn't even comment on me saying I'd vote for her unless someone confessed. Civvie LT would not have let that go.
You know, I really think something is up with you. I did not take you seriously, tbqfh.

You have not gone after me all day, you have posted ridiculous vote analyses that have no bearing on anything at this point in the game, you then further the ridiculousness by creating venn diagrams purportedly to show that people who vote after one another are somehow in cahoots. I KNOW you know better than this, and therefore concluded that you were just having a bit of fun.

Yes, you did slip in the "I am voting for LT" - but where was the reason? Oh yes, there wasn't actually a reason. Just some absurd linking of when people voted.

Pardon me for ignoring your "conclusions".

Oh, and pray tell why was my response more over the top than anyone else that pointed out you were posting nothing of actual value?

I agree, Kate & FH - droopy could be being coached. That is such a classic move!

Also, I haven't seen much from INH lately.

I need to go re-read a bit and get my head back into this game - so much going on, I can't keep stuff straight! FYI - I am in another game and now co-hosting another, so not much time!!!

I guess I can see where SVS is coming from, but with all the secrets in the game it occurs to me that it's entirely possible that the people who died last night weren't the intended targets. I mean, the host himself said the NP and all the night actions were going to take a while to get out. That says to me that a lot was going on last night.
Then I asked her if she thought it was both DF and Devin or just DF and she said this:
bea wrote:not sure if it was both or not. But - what I was thinking was that if the day 0 poll made all the Earth votes not count in the lynch - maybe the night 1 poll had something to do with people's targets getting re-directed.
I think this second post had been thought out, possibly in a chat room, about why their kill ended up killing someone other than their intended target.

Plus, she says she is not sure if it was both or not, which says to me, that she does think/know at least one was...
Oh yes! I remember being a little pinged by that at the time I first read it. Thanks for reminding me!

Re: [DAY 2] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

Gosh, there have been a lot of posts since I last caught up....

I am not sure where my vote will go today!

There seem to be a few people insanified? Some people have voted without posting.... are they silenced?

I see S~V~S is catching some heat for wondering about the death of DF. Not sure what I think about that at the moment.

As for the quote marks potentially being a slip up - we have caught baddies accidentally leaving quote tags in their copied posts in the past ;) It happens and is funny when it does! LOL! However, when I saw the quote marks, it made me think it was a quotation - as DP has pointed out, that is what it was. So, I don't think there is anything to that.

Votes cast so far seem to mostly be random votes. Hmm...

This was an odd vote post. Care to share what your reasons are?

Interesting. So, you did not read the posts outlining why people opt for the self vote in games?

You really seem to be going all out to "save" Leech.

Hmmm.....

Re: [DAY 1] Avant-Garde Mafia 2: The Ultimate Dimensional Ba

Leech's self-vote explanation doesn't make me feel any better about him. I really don't like it when players dodge the scrutiny of their votes by opting out and voting themselves. Others have brought up Jason - a notorious self voter, if he ever comes here and plays a game, you can ask him how many games that strategy worked out well for him  :haha: (MP - we need a  smiley!)

I was ready to give Leech a pass this time, but finding out that he is not brand new to mafia changes my mind. There again, Vompatti rushing to provide him with a cover story also cricked my eyebrow. My :eye: is on both of them.

LittleTiger - I don't think it's wrong to want to help people who are new. I just think finding people who are new to be suspect for "drive by voting" during a day 0 poll is a little off.
I didn't suspect anyone for "drive by voting"? What are you on about?

Re: [DAY 1] Avant-Garde Mafia 2: The Ultimate Dimensional Ba

I think the most suspect thing so far is Vompatti trying to explain away Leech's self vote. Giving him an excuse, talking about secrets as if he knows why Leech voted himself. Just seems odd that he would jump to his defense so quickly. Also, the "defense" dissuades anyone from actually voting Leech (and it seems to have been effective).

DH - there are quite a few new players in this game, so why is sharing knowledge of how the game is played for their benefit worthy of being "notable"?
