Re: Biblical Mafia [ENDGAME]

Long Con wrote:Night 1 - Death of the Firstborn: "If Moses chooses the Death of the Firstborn, Death gains permanent BTSC with the first dead person. This person is still dead, but can cast a vote. This person cannot cast a vote if Death dies." Metalmarsh (Samson), got the ability to vote and make it count. Also shared Death's win condition?
Correct.
Long Con wrote:Night 7 - Blood: "If Moses chooses Blood, War can force two people to vote one another in perpetuity until one of them is dead. The survivor, the next Day, may only post using words that have been used in dead red." So, this was the reason Lot and Lazarus had to keep voting each other? What about only posting in words that had been used in dead red? Did that happen? Wasn't there a previous pair of people who had been forced to vote each other?
This was why Lot and Lazarus had to keep voting each other.

Yes- the survivor was supposed to use words that had only been used in dead red, but given the way things went, I didn't consider Lot a victor. Lazarus kept not voting as he was supposed to, and so I waited until he missed three votes to punish him. Because this wasn't one of them getting the other stoned or slain, I didn't think it was right to enact the curse.

And even if I had, let's be real: All those massive dead posts Balaam had been making would have given Lot a sufficient vocabulary to work with anyhow.
Long Con wrote:Night 8 - Locusts: "If Moses chooses Locusts, Famine can silence the Heathen with the most posts." What happened with this? Did Famine silence a Heathen?
Famine was dead by then, so no.
Long Con wrote:Night 10 - Pestilence: "If Moses chooses Pestilence, Conquest will be able to substitute a dead name on his faction with a living name from another." MP07, as Conquest 2.0, any word on this? Did it help you?
He won, so I would say yes. :p

Moses did it. Blame Long Con. Four of the ten plagues benefited one of the horsemen. Blood let War pick two people who had to vote each other until one of them was dead.

War's normal power was just to add onto people's win conditions.

6. The game spreadsheet. Updated according to how much I know, of course.

As for what I still don't know (and will likely remained unanswered):

a) Which players did Famine target to post only once and when. (I should actually check back in the thread, because I think players like Rachel and Lot hinted at it). Also, I assume he silenced me, Ruth and Paul on Day 2, but I could be wrong.

b) Which players did War place in a "feud" relationship and when (besides me vs. Paul and Lot vs. Lazarus - though I think the latter was Moses' doing).

c) Uggh. I guess it's way too much to ask Conquest how did he create and modified his factions, so I won't even try.

d) Which players did Uzziah incapacitate and when. (good luck squeezing that info out of him :kadaj: )

e) Which players did Pharaoh force and when. (but Xth already said he won't tell :kadaj:)

f) If Ruth emasculated succesfully any prophets. Who did she target, otherwise, and when.

g) Which players did Deborah block and when.

h) Which dead players did Esther check and when.

i) When did Rahab join the Heathens and who did she check to join them.

j) If Cain checked any aligments on Night 1.

k) If Paul ever inquired the Host on a player alignment ahead of voting Day 2.

l) If Mary Magdalene offered someone amnesty from the poll on Day 2. I forgot who that player was.

m) If Hagar ever checked any players' identity.

n) Fat chance, but whether Malchus ever guessed a future lynch correctly and got/used any power boost.

o) If Chapter VII night kill failed because of Lazarus using his protection.

p) When and which players did Moses target with: Lice, Flies, Pestilence, Hail and Darkness. I hope I got it right on which nights he used his other powers, otherwise.

I understand Noah 1.0/2.0 never saved anyone from the floods, which makes it really interesting that the victims were always low players, much like Balaam used to pray to happen.
Ricochet, after about Night 5 I stopped keeping track of Night actions. So few people sent in PMs it wasn't necessary. :|

The ones I can tell you off the top of my head:

f) No

h) Almost all of them

i) Uzziah. Night 2 I think?

j) Cain learned that Absalom was a horseman. She got silenced and then lynched, so she never got to use this info. Roxy was not a happy camper.

l) Mary M. did take someone off the poll early on, but I forget who it was.

m) Once.

n) Malchus predicted that Cain would be lynched. He was right. He got a curse of choice to use anytime, but he never did.

o) Yes.

Moses
The leader of the Exodus will inflict someone with a plague. *Secrets*
Moses will choose a plague to inflict on someone. The plagues are: Blood, Frogs, Lice, Flies, Pestilence, Boils, Locusts, Hail, Darkness, Death of the Firstborn.

Blood: The river has turned to blood. [War]*
Frogs: The target must mention a famous frog in each post.
Lice: Anyone who votes for the target will take a vote.
Flies: The target will be harassed by flies and off the poll.
Pestilence: Disease has desolated the population, even the fighting men. [Conquest]**
Boils: The target is in so much pain, he may only utter complaints.
Locusts: The crops and fields have been ravaged. [Famine]***
Hail: The targeted will be blocked.
Darkness: This is darkness that can be felt. The Heathens lose BTSC for one phase.
Death of the Firstborn: Mourning and wailing fill the land. [Death]****

*[If Moses chooses Blood, War can force two people to vote one another in perpetuity until one of them is dead. The survivor, the next Day, may only post using words that have been used in dead red.]

Unfortunately, that completely backfired on us and got my killed afterwards.

And MM totally outed himself in the BTSC by signing as "MM89-Phone", right after Epig specifically sent us PMs in which he told us NOT to out ourselves. :haha:

MM's tale as Samson is so ironic, I can't even. Signed up as sock, still gets killed D1. Gets stuck with me in BTSC, like old mafia chums. Depends his win on me entirely. I lurked in the chat and jumped in his place during the Second Trivia Game, without warning. He gets the win after all, even though he lost D1. Epic.

I am also very curious as to a few of the more random kills this game, like Phinheas's spear seemingly not matching the circumstances in the role listing.
Death (Belshazzar) won the 2nd trivia challenge. The prize depended on the winner's alignment, but it all dealt with the non-participant Malchus. Death won, so that was easy. He dies.

And Rebecca didn't throw her spear, so that made it easier, story-wise.

Re: Biblical Mafia [ENDGAME]

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
“Come and see.” Revelation 6:7

Conquest, the White Horseman
*Secrets*
Conquest must divide the people into three factions of eleven each on Day 0 (excluding himself). Conquest must then choose which faction will have the most people alive at the end. Conquest wins if he has supported the victorious faction. Each Night, Conquest may switch six living names (4 living horsemen), four living names (3 living horsemen), two living names (2 living horsemen), or zero names (1 living horseman). If Conquest dies, the last living name on Conquest’s chosen faction will die. Conquest does not need to be alive to win.

War, the Red Horseman
*Secrets*
War makes it necessary that others be dead for his targets to win. War chooses ten marks on Day 0 to wage war against. War may choose one person each Night, and, through the Host, inform that target which person (the mark) has to be dead for the target to win. For each slain horseman, one target (the latest onward) will be told that the requirement is no longer valid. War wins if nine of the ten people he has marked are dead. If War dies, then the first living person War has targeted will die. War does not need to be alive to win.

Famine, the Black Horseman
*Secrets*
Famine weakens someone through malnourishment. Famine’s target can only post one time the next Day. Once, Famine may silence up to three people at the same time for the next Day. Famine wins if the number of posts at endgame do not exceed 9,000 posts (4 living horsemen), 8,000 posts (3 living horsemen), 7,000 posts (2 living horsemen), 6,000 posts (1 living horseman), or 5,000 posts (0 living horsemen). If Famine dies, the person with the fewest number of posts will die. Posts made by the host, non-players, and the dead will not count toward the total. Famine does not need to be alive to win.

Death, the Pale Horseman
*Secrets*
Death must choose a dead target each Night. Death wins if: 22 people are dead (4 living horsemen), 24 people are dead (3 living horsemen), 26 people are dead (2 living horsemen), 28 people are dead (1 living horseman), or 30 people are dead (no living horsemen). If Death dies, Death’s current target will be resurrected. Death does not need to be alive to win.

1 Rahab’s heart betrayed her, as she had once betrayed her own people. 2 Here, then, are those who were victorious in cleansing the land of Sin-d’kaht: 3 Lot, who salted the graves of his enemies, that no flowers would grow without; 4 Bathsheba, who sought revenge for the deaths of Uzziah her husband and David her king; 5 Pilate, who parted the waters and made Rahab the betrayer speak as a frog. 6 And the heavens turned red and the moon turned to blood, and behold, four horsemen appeared: 7 Stephen, whose name was Conquest, rode a white horse. He wielded a bow and conquered the nations. 8 Absalom, whose name was War, rode upon a red horse. With a great sword, he took peace from the earth. 9 Nicodemus, whose name was Famine, rode upon a black horse, He held a scale and staved the poorest of the earth. 10 Belshazzar, whose name was Death, rode upon a pale horse, and Samson rode with him. They had the authority to claim the lives of thirty souls. 11 In this way did the people of Sin-d’kaht purge the evil among them. 12 And the Lord was pleased and blessed them forever and ever. Amen.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER V]

5 Then did Judas Iscariot become desperate in his schemes, and he plotted against the righteous alone. 6 He took a bow from Nebuchadnezzar’s armory and also took a handful of arrows. 7 Hiding from atop a building, Judas spotted Samuel, and he drew back an arrow and killed Samuel in the street.

Second Mafioso

Chapter V
1And there was a man named Lazarus who shriveled and died because thrice he denied the Lord. 2 When Lazarus died, the people of Sin-d’kaht saw Esther as a Heathen, and verily did they seek to stone her. 3 And they did so, outside the city gates, and when she was dead, they beheld a tattoo on her arm. 4 It said, “The nations shall fear Nebuchadnezzar.”

9 While they were marveling at the spear, another spear, from the house of Iscariot, pierced the breast of Stephen, and he fell dead. 10 Jacob saw this and he too fell dead, for he was undone with fear. 11 And the people of Sin-d’kaht had twenty-four hours to lynch a feb.*

Second Mafioso

Chapter IV
1 The death of the Philistine had emboldened the people, and they accused Rebecca of trying to save the foreign giant. 2 “Rebecca testified in favor of Deborah; therefore she must be put to death.” 3 When Rebecca heard this, she girded up her loins and ran to her home. For at her house was a mighty spear. 4 But when she reached thither, she found that her spear was not there. 5 “Woe has fallen upon me this day!” she lamented. “For someone this day has stolen the tool of my salvation!” 6 Rebecca left her home to flee, but the people of Sin-d’kaht fell upon her and stoned her. 7 And after they had stoned Rebecca, they beheld a spear come from heaven and pierce the body of Malchus, who died that same hour. 8 “Did Rebecca throw this spear? How could Rebecca throw a spear after she had perished?”
