Re: Concerts

I never studied for any test in my life. Literally never outside of maybe a spelling test in elementary school.

Hell, I took and passed a test for my teaching license without even knowing half the terminology they used.

If you truly learned the shit, you don't need to study.

Re: Concerts

That was Seven Nations. Celtic rock band featuring fiddle and bagpipes.

Other than play stuff from their newest album to promote it, they were basically taking requests from the audience. Eloh got them to play her favorite song of theirs. :D

Which concert?
One of those where you get your picture taken with the lead singer and the bassist after the show.

Re: Concerts

Speaking of cheap concerts, one day I just so happened (out of the blue) to look up what Lifehouse was up to, and it turns out that very day they were playing a concert about 30 miles away. When my wife got home, I asked her if she wanted to go and she did. We also got my brother to go. $10 tickets in advance, $15 at the door.

When I got to the ticket table (it was a college campus), I pretended to be all excited about this no-name opening act, and completely confounded the poor girl working the table. "Lifehouse? Who the heck are they?" :haha:

Re: Concerts

A while back I got great seats to see Kansas for $15. They kicked ASS.

The star of the show? Phil Ehart, who drummed his balls off and made old songs sound like new ones. The band even added some new introductions to classic songs. It was amazing.

On "Carry On Wayward Son," Steve Walsh disconnected something on the "Carry on! You will always remember" line, and it wasn't heard. haha
