Re: [DAY 5] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

Look people, the 2 times I've said "us" or "we" or whatever this game, both of them I was referring to every single player in the game. That's all there is to it, but I understand that when you keep lynching civs it's hard for you to tell what's actually worth being suspicious of. Like maybe Dom arbitrarily trying to make cases that won't stick off semantics.
S~V~S wrote:I read Trice and reread him, and I have a role in mind for him, and I think he might be a civ, I won't be voting for him/. I wish he did not suspect me, but I kinda see why he might.

But regardless of who else may or maynot be bad, I still think FH probably is bad.
To be entirely fair, the role reveals from the book do force me to re-evaluate you at least to some degree. Yes, I agree with people saying this is your civ game, but like I explained early you (everybody) play(s) civ game as an indy. That's the only way you can win.

Weird. Is three minutes enough to see that, think of a "witty" comeback and post?
It's almost like I'm smart or something. Not like I'm an electrical engineer or anything.

For the 3rd time, nobody is actually stupid enough to copy-paste things from a btsc chat room. Anybody who did that, would be doing 10000 other nooby mistakes and it would be obvious they are bad. You can even copy-paste that, if you want.

Now, if we look alll the way back at that Bea lynch, the one successful one we've had, there was an idea floating about that her teammates voted rabbit to save her. If we work on my personal belief that if the baddies were actually morons they'd be dead by now, I think maybe 1 person and no more on the team would have done that. I don't know whether that one person is CBK (or whoever replacement was) or FH. But I also think FH let slip her role, and it's a civ one. I will find the quote in a sec here.

In regards to Damo Suzuki, my initial interpretation of his role definitely didn't involve a night kill. Re: [NIGHT 4] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

Now, SVS - I'm convinced she's Herman the Planet Smasher.

When I initial raised my suspicion of her, it was after she had wheeled on about how DFaraday (Herman's victim from night 1) was such a bad night kill target and there was really no reason to kill him.
S~V~S wrote:I can't think of one reason anyone would kill Faraday, I read all of his posts like 5 times, and I am at a loss. He wasn't even a low poster.
She also went right ahead and said there was no reason for Ziltoid's team to kill Devin the Omniscient, but made no deal about him at all compared to the big deal about DFaraday.
S~V~S wrote:TBH, I don't see a compelling reason to kill Devin either, but I don't know him well enough to gauge how threatening he may be to someone who DOES know him.
That being said, that was all there was to it. She seemed to dismiss it as "maybe random." I was also slightly thrown off at the time by Kate and Lorab apparently rushing to defend SVS. Now I think that makes sense. Technically we are seeing SVS' civ game; as an indy you have no teammates and I would argue it's more important to kill the baddies, since they have NKs. Hell, that's how she won progressive rock mafia on progarchives.com, as an indy. I think Kate and Lorab legitimately believed what they wrote back then about SVS not seeming bad to them, and also to some degree they were digging for civvie cred - I'm not necessarily saying they are bad, sometimes civs need civ credit too. But I digress.

So yeah, SVS says "fine it was a random kill maybe."
and then, what what what?
S~V~S wrote:Plus there is a hell of a lot of secrets, including at least one zany target/role/summat switching power, which I think we saw on night one.
All of a sudden DFaraday got killed because Herman the Planet Smasher's target got switched, something that hadn't been brought up at all. I think SVS knows this happened because she is Herman, The Planet Smasher.

Yeah, I've been a bit cheesed at DH since his post on like day 1 where he wrote an entire page about no real suspicion at all. Never followed up on it because I thought there was a higher priority lynch in vompatti, but that turned out considerably less than ideal.

The cases on CBK and DH don't sound outrageous right now. I don't think DH's answers to posts about him are doing him any good. We will see, still a while to go until we need to actually worry about a lynch

Re: [DAY 4] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

Because when you are a baddie you'd rather pick up somebody's incorrect theory then be honest and have to out teammates

theoretically speaking, of course

Re: [DAY 4] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

And for clarification, by "bully" I meant something more along the lines of "needle" or "browbeat," it didn't even occur to me it could be misinterpreted like that so I apologize

Re: [DAY 4] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

I voted vomps yesterday and have had every intention of following up on that, so whatever else is on my mind can wait a day

Plus there is a hell of a lot of secrets, including at least one zany target/role/summat switching power, which I think we saw on night one. Plus a whole team all of whose powers seem to be "loves chaos", lol.
Well now, hold on. After night one you made a big deal about how DFaraday was a bad target to NK, which is why I and maybe a couple other people were looking at you, but now you've entirely changed your position to that it was redirected. Baddie slip up, or just taking your own theories too seriously?
LOL, I said that this was why i said that.

You have been trying WAAAAAAAYYYY too hard to paint me bad. As i recall you were looking at me, and a few people that understood what I was getting at and backed off.
No

More like, there is reason at all to believe that NK was redirected unless it was your NK
I assume you meant to say "More like, there is NO reason at all to believe that NK was redirected unless it was your NK"

Well, perhaps there were other powers besides kills that did not go as expected night one? Perhaps that might make someone think, along with the very unexpected NK target, that some targets may have been switched? I never changed my position~ as soon as people started saying this line of discussion was suspicious, I clarified my intent, and everyone but you dropped it. Forcing people to spell things out is not the civviest action, Trice.

Unfortunately, i have a tendency to do that myself, lol. A few times this game i have been mid post, writing something like, "Well why do you think that, don't you think there would have been a subtle ***** in the thread if ***** and..." and then realized that what I was actually replying to WAS a sublte ****, lol, and scrapped the post. So I am the last to suspect you for continually pushing this point. But do me a favor, read the roles, and see allllll the non baddie ways someone might know things may have been rotten in Denmark on Night One, OK?
It doesn't matter how many ways there are for things to be redirected in your opinion, the fact of the matter is there was no indication it got redirected. I understand that when a handful of newer mafia players call you out on it, you can bully them to drop it and get your teammates to call it "civ svs," but I still don't think you actually have a bridge for sale

Re: [DAY 4] Avant-Garde Mafia 2

The only basis for anybody thinking Droops and Vomps were teammates is that they seemed to be trying to save Bea by lynching Rabbit. One of them not doing it doesn't mean the other wasn't.

More importantly, maybe just look at how vompatti has been posting the entire game
