Re: Cards Against Humanity [Day 9]

I don't get the sudden bandwagon on DH. It feels like all his votes are for either an extremely weak reason or people latching onto that reason. I will be sticking with TH today because I just don't see any way that he's a civ. And he's pulling the wool over all your eyes.

Re: Cards Against Humanity [Night 8]

I hate bringing past games into this, but I feel given the current discussion, it is possibly relevant. Also Epig, I like you a lot and have great respect for you with mafia. So please do not take this personally, as it is not meant to be construed that way.

In Lost Mafia on RM which just ended (keep in mind I did not play, so take that for what you will), Epig was a civ. Now from my understanding in that game, he helped orchestrate 5 lynches against civs in that game. And I feel in several other games I've played with him recently, he has helped lynch many a civ even when he is a civ himself. I can see how some people who do not go along with his train of thought at times might feel pressured to go with the flow so as not to incur drawing :eye:s from him later. But I feel that as of late, he has been way off the mark in terms of reading people.

Like I said, you may that that as you will and either accept it or dismiss it as ignorant hogwash. But I feel fairly certain that Epig is wrong about TH, and it makes me wonder if he is wrong about SVS. Or even Eloh for that matter.

My point is, if Epig says we should do A over B, I would be more inclined to go with B unless there's a very good reason to do otherwise.

If Eloh is bad, I'll suck a dick.
To be fair, your track record has been awful the last few games. So you'll forgive me if I don't jump on that gun right away. Now that being said, I would be very surprised if Elo ended up being bad. Her surviving that NK makes me more inclined to believe she is good.

Someone asked me if I was suspicious of anyone else besides TH. I feel like FH has been jumping around a bit trying to find other people to accuse since her Aces/INH case turned out to be total garbage. So I think she is an equally viable lynch candidate to TH. I would be willing to vote for either one at this point.

Only one civ can get a power each night, only one civ can have a specific passive power.
I'll take the no death last night then.

If that's the case, then I would be led to believe TH is indeed bad.

Aside from those I am concerned about BWT, because he said he wasn't worried about the vote as we had plenty of time (day 1) but yet he ended up randomizing (or self voting) and he just didn't seem to be taking things serious, as I'd expect a townie to. He reminded me of WWE where he gave up but that was so early on that he would have had no reason to want to give up, so either he just doesn't want to be a baddie or it has nothing to do with his alignment.
Then Epi for being so quiet (although I am wondering if this is still in character as far as the I don't care if you suspect me attitude & he just has two major levels, extra quiet and extra talkative), who I now feel better about, but don't know if he is just perhaps on an opposing scum team, so I am keeping that in mind.
Okay, I remember this one a lot better now. I know on K-site they're used to being at each other's throats right away on Day 1, which I guess is why my first game there, I felt a lot of the Day 1 discussion was incredibly forced to me (mostly because it was incredibly weak reasons for voting people since we had no other evidence to go off of). And that's the feeling I get from K4J here. Anyone else have an opinion on it?

Epig hasn't felt terribly quiet to me. Although that might be because he's been fairly active in the Champions game and me seeing him more often there might have me thinking that he's been equally active here. But I definitely would not equate quiet Epig with bad Epig.

As for numbers, I went with 2, 3, and 12 because that's what the random number generator gave me.

I sort of feel like john showing back up in the thread after voting himself and receiving a second vote is indicative of being told in BTSC to come back to the thread...but his self-vote post uses the phrasing "don't know who to vote for yet", so I'm unsure.
It is night here and I was relaxing watching a movie so I decided to come back to the thread and check on it. I chose aces because I don't think anyone else will vote him and I won't be partially responsible for a civ death.
Intentionally voting for someone you don't think is bad because you know they won't get lynched is not my idea of helpful civ behavior. It's a way of avoiding accountability.
Avoiding accountability was more or less exactly what I stated. I did not want to be partially responsible for a civ 's death. I am starting to get some minor pings on a few people and if they form into something more concrete I will share them I just don't want to point fingers yet.[/quote]
The bolded part in particular really set alarm bells off in my head. But at the same time, I can't see John being THAT obvious about it if he was bad. Or would he pull a WIFOM?... :ponder:

I have to leave for work soon, and won't have time to check in before the deadline. I'm not very sure about anyone quite yet, and the only thing that's stuck out is John's self-vote. Instead, I'm going to try something I normally hate people doing because I feel like it: randomizing!

I did a 1-18 generator (in order of everyone's name in the lynch poll), and got #5, so Bass. Sorry man!

FZ. wrote:We tend to be quite aggressive from the get go where we come from. Some people say it backfires and we end up lynching civs. I disagree. Last game we played there, we were so close to lynching a baddie on the first day, only for someone to take their vote off at the last minute because they got scared it was a civ lynch. So I'm all for pushing people and questioning them from the start. I really don't see the point in talking if you do nothing but make sarcastic remarks. I'd rather just come back the next day.
If you just vote randomly, there's a higher chance of lynching a civ. I try to make my odds better. Sometimes it doesn't work, but then, I'm not doing any worse than lynching a civ randomly
To be fair, your day periods generally last 4-5 IRL days, so it lends itself to more discussion and, in turn, makes you more likely to nab a baddie on Day 1. Most of us are used to 48 hours at most, so generally we'll feel a bit differently about it than K-Siters will.

I agree on the voting randomly part though. I try to go for the person who I feel strongest about based on what happens in the thread on Day 1. I feel that's much
better than trying to roll the dice and hope you get lucky.

Linki: I'm not sure if INH got the 2 games mixed up or if it's something else. But I would like to hear more from him on it if possible.

What is it about Dom that makes you want to give him a vote?
One time, he answered my question regarding SVS with an answer that pinged me, and the way he questioned someone defending someone else, made me think it was something too easy to accuse people of. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the most I've got on someone at the moment.
With llama, it's his nonchalant answers that are making me question his sincerity, since last game he felt less... *looks for a word*... calm.
The thing I've noticed with llama is he likes to change up aspects of his playing style from game to game. So while it can make him a bit harder to read, it usually becomes a bit easier to understand his motivations (at least IMO) after a few in-game days.

That being said, he definitely seems much more relaxed than what I've seen from him recently. But I think it's due more to him having lynched many civvies incorrectly, and wanting to not be the person in the driver's seat.
