That was how, our sk was surprisingly creative with the kill he had.

The Elder Wand event worked like this: the names for the Elder Wand poll were randomized, and encoded using each sock's character, heart, and social numbers. To do that, I used this:

Due to the nature of this event, I am asking any and all willing participants to please pm me (NOT Lizzy and me) with the day/time most convenient for them this weekend. The event may need to be rescheduled if I am not unexpectedly busy.

The event itself is a game that will be played in real time (or at least as close as possible) and is very similar to hot potato. A random player will be given the snitch containing the resurrection stone, and that player has the option to either try and open it, or to pass it to another player who then has the same options. The snitch will only open after a certain number of passes (that is unknown to the players), and if a player attempts to open it before that number is reached, they are out of the game. The winner is the first person to attempt to open it after the number of turns has been reached.

This event has been rescheduled for tomorrow, it will be within the time period of 5-7pm.

Day 7: The Devil's Snare

After hearing of the attempt on Märet's life, Malin felt safer straggling behind her classmates in herbology the next day. Märet was near the front of the class near professor Sprout and Malin was hoping that from the distance she could see anyone who tried something suspicious. It was halfway through class when some kid struck up a several minute long discussion with Sprout on gillyweed when she realized no one was paying attention to her and she could freely explore the greenhouse around her.

Carefully making her way around a particularly large plant, Malin slinked off into a section of the warehouse they seldom used, keeping one eye on Märet and the other on the exotic plant life around her. Her new vantage point offered her a good view of the entire class, but she soon realized no one was going to try anything under Sprout's watch and her attention on the lesson soon began to wander, and she began to pace the room, hoping Sprout would finish early.
In her absentmindedness, she didn't realize she was inching closer and closer to the foreboding mass of vines that was kept in the unused portion of the greenhouse, away from all other plants, and for good reason. In the dark Malin didn't see the smaller tendrils reaching out in the dark, and with a particularly haphazard pass she lightly brushed her hand against one.

The class had just started packing up when their ears were pierced by her shriek. The plant had immediately sprang to life, its multitude of vines writhing around, trying to find Malin. The ones that did wrapped themselves around her and pulled her closer, tightening more and more at her every attempt to crawl away.

"Lumos Solem!"

Professor Sprout has sprung into action and ran to Malin, waving her wand as she went. A beam of light erupted from the tip of her wand and the vines retreated away from wherever she pointed it, and in a few seconds the plant was as docile as a common daisy, having pulled itself back into the shadows, leaving only a very shaken and out of breath Malin behind.

Night 6 - A Brush With Fate

Märet ducked into her dormitory for a quick change of robes before dinner when she noticed something wrong, nothing was missing but something was definitely different. She figured someone had been trying to "borrow" her hairbrush again and couldn't find it, and promised herself that she'd buy one of the hexed ones she saw at Zonko's next time when she was in Hogsmeade. Bracing herself for the impending disaster that it had surely been left in, she pulled the doors open and was immediately thrown backwards. Märet thought the pillar of flame seemed to have erupted spontaneously before she saw it for what it was, a large burning stake. The fire was alive, groping towards her as she backed away, stumbling as she tried to keep her eyes locked on the flames. She tried charm after charm to put out the flames, until she slowly realized something; people aren't generally burned at the stake in their wardrobes! Knowing now what was happening, she waved her wand and commanded "RIDDIKULUS," and with a crack the boggart changed into a great flopping dildo. With a furtive look towards the door, she quickly rolled it under her bed and began to make her way towards the Great Hall.

Märet Jonsdotter has survived a kill attempt by Voldemort and the Death Eaters. You have 48 hours to lynch someone.

Night 4 - Alice in Wonderland

Alice Nutter had started to feel rather nutty lately, and had been taking an evening walk around the lake to try and process everything that had happened since the beginning of the school year. She had come to a halt as she watched the sun's reflection sink below the trees in the tranquil surface of the lake when a cry rent the air.
"LEVICORPUS"
Alice felt an unseen force grip her body and pulled her up and over the lake. She struggled vainly for a few moments before the force suddenly vanished, dropping her head first. She screamed as she rushed towards the surface and disappeared in a great splash. Alice tumbled down, thrashing at the water, trying desperately to right herself in the inky darkness of the water. Her long black robes became an anchor, ensnaring and fighting her every attempt to escape the depths. Taking far longer than she felt comfortable, Alice groped around her pocket until she fished out her wand and aimed as well she could over her back. She bubbled the incantation into the water around her, using the last of her air to free herself.
"Diffindo"
She was suddenly filled with several emotions, one of elation as the cloak's weight suddenly fell off, having been severed by the spell, and one of surprise, as her poorly aimed spell grazed her lower back, and most importantly one of extreme terror, as she had inadvertently opened her mouth in surprise at the pain, and swallowed a mouthful of water. Fighting to keep her head straight, she snapped her jaw shut and again attempted to pull herself towards the surface, no unencumbered by the cloak, but now oxygen starved, her back bleeding, and completely desperate.
Closer and closer Alice swam towards the surface, but the world kept growing darker as she began to lose consciousness. Seeking only to quell the burning in her lungs with the cold air above, she pushed herself with the last of her strength, but was still several feet down. She was dimly aware of a force constricting her body again, and prepared to be pushed deeper into the lake when she realized she was traveling up and forwards.
The force compelled her towards the bank of the lake, pushing her faster and harder than the spell that put her there. Just as she broke the surface of the lake, Alice was ungracefully deposited on the muddy shore, where she pulled herself up and gulped in her first breath in what felt like forever. Behind her, a large, snakelike appendage slipped quietly back into the lake.

Alice Nutter has survived a kill attempt by Voldemort and the Death Eaters. It is now Day 5, you have 48 hours to find the one responsible.

Due to many scheduling conflicts, the Resurrection Stone Event will be rescheduled for next weekend to allow better participation.

Night 2 - Katharina's Kiss

Katharina took what she thought would be her last look at Hogwarts and turned to into the growing gloom of the forest. She kept playing the recent events over and over in her mind, like a toddler who knows how to press play on the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse dvd menu screen. Katharina knew she couldn't stay at school, it had become far too dangerous.

Shivering as she held her wand high to see the path in front of her, she came to a sudden halt. An unnatural chill seemed to fill the air, filling Katharina with a sense of unease. The light from her wand, which had only moments ago been able to dispel the growing gloom of nightfall, now seemed completely ineffective at piercing the encroaching darkness. Katharina could only take a few small, tentative steps forward when her fear erupted to a blinding panic.

Without another thought, she turned and bolted back towards the castle, tripping and ripping her way through the underbrush, unsure of what or why she was running from. Just as the trees were thinning out, Katharina's foot caught a tree root and she fell hard. Her wand, who's light had been her only small comfort up until now, flew from her hand as she attempted to catch herself, and flickered out. Katharina immediately started scrambling around the forest floor, picking through fallen branches and leaves, desperate to regain the small piece of mind she still had when her fear suddenly swelled to a crescendo. The air around her seemed to turn to ice, petrifying her and killing all hope she would ever see light or anything happy again. Sudden, terrible realization dawned as she began to succumb to final, crippling despair.

The dementor wasted no time and began to feed on its victim, hovering just above Katharina's cowering body. Katharina's strength gave out, but her luck had not. As she fell onto her back, her hand fell on a familiar stick. Katharina summoned the remainder of her will and flailed her wand at the air above her.

"EXPECTO PATRONUM"

She was just able to stay conscious long enough to see a cloud of silver explode over her, finally illuminating the black veiled figure as it retreated back into the depths of the woods.

Event 1: The Invisibility Cloak.

While the youngest of the three brothers used it to escape death, an intrepid young witch or wizard would find a myriad of everyday uses for an invisibility cloak. Your task, if you choose to accept it, is to draw one of such uses in paint or an equivalent drawing program. The drawing can be in any style you choose, the objective is to make a creative and funny pic that makes us laugh. When you have finshed, pm it to both Lizzy and me. You will have until the night period ends, wherein a voting period will start, the winner of which will be awarded use of the invisibility cloak in the game.

Day 1: Mayhem Maybe

The feast continued on in near silence, the younger students afraid to do more than whisper to their friends, while their older peers sat and played with the food in front of them. Rebecca Nurse scowled as Mary Eastey told a house elf to punch itself in the face for overcooking her steak.
Many students had given up trying to coax out their appetites and were starting to drift back to their common rooms when a fight erupted in the entrance hall. Incomprehensible shouts rang through the open doors and into the great hall, spurring McGonagall and Snape into a frenzied run towards the commotion. Several bangs from the professors’ wands later the dogpile of squirming black robes. Agnes lay face down on the bottom steps motionless. Snape had just finished closing the rest of the students back in the Great Hall as McGonagall confirmed, hunched over the motionless body, “just unconscious, nothing Poppy can’t cure” and carried her up the stairs to the infirmary with Snape’s help.

No-one was lynched.
