Re: [DAY 7] Fight Club Mafia

P.S. I didn't catch up, I just wanted to not miss ANOTHER vote, so I did so a bit early. I'll catch up after my woman leaves on Sunday!

Re: [DAY 7] Fight Club Mafia

My mother is town for my last free weekends for many moons to come. I'm voting SVS because she is dead wrong about me.

I'll be back off and on throughout the week, but I have lots of training to receive and to give. My RAs arrive on Thursday and I have a lot to accomplish before then!

It wasn't the first time, it was brought up before.

Well you're wrong, hate to break it to you. But hey, if I can't dissuade you, keep pursuing a dead-end road for all I care, I don't have anything more to say other than I'm looking to lynch Tyler.

I am not seeing the cases here other than as related to proximity. I am voting Lea again as not only was she in the right place at the right time, but that whole exchange she had with DH felt off to me, and now she I's apparently using it to clear her from association with him.
It was not an effort to clear association with him, it was stating that I am not connected with him. Different. He was bad and trying to draw attention from himself to me. The end. You continuing to point to this exchange which was simply me trying to diffuse a miffed baddie being called out for being bad makes me :eye: you and all those who join this silly bandwagon you keep trying to form.
For someone who is trying to "clear association with him", this sounds a bit defensive and overly emotional. And what bandwagon? I don't think you've been in severe danger of getting lynched yet, so I don't see how you can claim that a bandwagon is forming against you.
She didn't claim that a bandwagon was forming, she claimed that S~V~S and others were trying to form one. I don't know Lea too well, but if she has played a lot of Mafia, then she probably has good enough instincts to see where the wind is blowing. As soon as it sticks that she is connected to DH, then she's as good as lynched. THEN the bandwagons would circle up.

And in a quick read of my own post here, I can see that S~V~S said Lea is "apparently using it to clear her from association with him", THEN Lea said "It was not an effort to clear association with him"... BWT, you then started in with 'For someone who is trying to "clear association with him", this sounds a bit defensive and overly emotional.'... as if you are quoting lea with the "clear association" thing... and yet you quoted her oppositely. See what I'm saying?

Just bringing that up because I'm sure it would frustrated Lea to be misquoted in that way, then she'd have to correct you, and then someone would say "Look how defensive she is, she can't give it up!"... and if we're going to lynch someone, I'd rather have it be for real things, not drummed-up meta-defensiveness over lazy quoting.
Yes, THANK YOU. :sigh:

Re: [DAY 6] Fight Club Mafia

Sorry I missed the vote! It totally slipped my mind since I've been in the habit of voting at night.

I'm voting for Eloh since she hasn't fought yet. Good luck!

Also my view 'first unread post' is not functioning as it should...I just realized tonight that I had skipped a page and a half earlier because of it. Help? Anyone?

My mind isn't exactly mafiaing right now though I'm trying to welcome the distraction.
I'm so sorry bea. :( My thoughts and condolences are with you.

I'm sorry that I'm not very talkative due to my being quite busy. I'm all for being questioned, but every time I have spoken up I get people targeting me specifically. I understand paranoia and I'm with you, trying to find Tyler in a sea of mafia this large, but geesh people, give me a break! This happened to me earlier with DH and he turned out to be bad....just saying.

I I was simply commenting; stating my opinion on the theory and defending my reason for not voting Chicago, nothing more.

haha, i can not help to notice Bullz name is among the people wanted to go to chicago,

and then people say they dont see a connection bewteen him and DH :p
Of course I voted to go to Chicago. It was an entirely new place and I assumed everyone would be drawn there. Go read my posts, I said on the last night in Wilmington I thought that since a lot of people would presumably vote for the new place that Chicago would be a good place for discussion and building theories. How was I to know where DH had voted? We were in separate threads. There's no connection between me and him just a few minor interactions given more importance than they deserve. I've already established that he didn't help me get my fight on day two in any way and nor have I defended him against any accusers while they were present in the same thread.
Same here. And although it goes against the pet theory at the moment, I'm more weary of those who didn't vote Chicago. A new city to check out and they didn't vote for it? Why the lack of curiosity? Do they already know what the rest of us were going to find out?
I think there are a lot of assumptions going on in this sentence and they aren't strong enough to make cases against non-Chicago voters. I didn't vote Chicago because DH was getting cranky at me and so I promised to give him space and head back to my city of origin, New Castle, though I really did want to see the new city.

OK, so I'm starting reading in the separate city threads, but there is no way I'm going to be able to completely do so before the vote ends, so I'll go with the majority tonight. *Hedgie and Boom*

I want you to say "I am Tyler Durden. Please lynch me." But only if it is true.
Then I won't say that.

SVS, yes I did see what you said in your posts. You read into what was said between DH and I as distancing but it's not; we were not connected. I was pinged by DH, prodded, got flack for it from him for doing so, and now it's following me here. I don't have anything else to say other than I'm an unrecruited civ.

I have a few minutes to read back and try to pull together some thoughts now before the vote.

Not trying to defend Leamiteo, but I've done this plenty of times, as town and scum, even in games where there was no mod punishment for missing a vote.

Wait, wut? Were these about me? Yes, I was out of town but we got back before we were expected to. I didn't want to miss the vote and I didn't have time to read. I explained all that to clear up things like the above quoted.

I am not a fan of the Nevin votes either, especially Johns. Llama is being Llama, he does this crap, I have seen him do it good & bad~ no indication of affiliation. Plus he voted before MP said he was seeking a replacement. I don't love Leas early random vote either, BUT I am a person who does not like doubting peoples RL reasons for game decisions. So if she comes back before the poll ends, that will get a big :eye: from me. otherwise, meh, we all have busy days in the summer.
I am voting for Lea. After this post, I made a few more linking her imo to DH, but i could see both sides of the story, and i kind of talked myself out of it. Then she came back, did not address any of that, but obviously read enough of the thread to give her opinion on a few posts.

Linki~ do you think he's bad, or are you just voting for him to force a tie?
I still haven't caught up on this thread, let alone gone back, sorry friends, but with new students days just around the corner and training and preparation on top of my other job I won't be able to be as active.

I'm at the top of page 6 of 9 in my format, but saw this and thought I should respond.

I guess I wasn't explicit enough, I didn't address specifically what you wanted, but I said I didn't follow DH; nor am I connected to DH. I was genuinely frustrated that there was such an offense taken and a target put on my back by DH saying, 'Leam's picking on me" (paraphrase) when others were also saying the same things I was in the thread. And the reason I didn't address that in particular is because I read ALL the posts at once and saw your reasoning through it come full circle. Anything more you want me to say?

Re: [DAY 5] Fight Club Mafia

OK, phew, I just read/skimmed this thread but haven't touched the other threads. My weekend is quiet from here on out so I'll have time to catch up.

Below I have my two cents from what I've seen (minimal, but there was a LOT of content covered, so please bear with me as I catch up).
bea wrote:tbh - in the day 2 stuff - I was shocked when I went to DH's city and he was sooo advocating the day 1 move or stay as a group vote stratagy. IT just didn't work out for him. Then day 2 happened and you and he came into Wilmington and It was all of a sudden llama was a zenophobe for expressing the same sentements DH had expressed in his home thread (admittedly - he said them nicer than llama did. llama is wabbity that way)
I didn't move...I didn't have a good gut feeling about how gung-ho DH was.
Sorsha wrote:I am also putting forth my crazy theory that the recruits are chosen from the winners each night. So night one boogs, bwt, DH or daisy would have been the choices that Tyler had for project Mayhem. Night 2 would be Sorsha, unfurl, BR or Spaghetti. Night three llama, inh, timmer or johns and night 4 bullz, nev, bea or lea.
This could be, but I won and was not recruited. My opponent also was not injured; perhaps this weighs into the equation? Or maybe there is a certain % of a chance you are successfully recruited if you win. But then wouldn't it be easy to track recruits? I would assume MP has a better method. Also linki linki linki.
Bullzeye wrote:I'm going to be seriously annoyed if I get lynched today over nothing. There's no connection between me and DH. I just disagreed with certain people's views on something he said, that isn't me defending him that's me having opinions. If I didn't obviously need to hold onto my vote in hope of saving myself I'd vote Kyle because his vote for me essentially says "I'm jumping onto a bandwagon, pretending to agree with it, and excusing myself from accountability when Bullz inevitably flips civ".

Linki: I didn't follow him the second time, I followed most people who were moving. He didn't try to help me at all, you're really exaggerating. All he did was say he wanted to vote for me. He didn't encourage, pressure, threaten, bribe, or seduce anyone else into voting for me. He just did it himself. So did others, maybe they're all my evil teammates then.
To me, this seems genuine. I think the odds of Bullz flipping bad are low at this point, and would recruits even know who the other recruits were in order to defend them?

I'm super excited about this phase of the game! :lorab:

Re: [DAY 5] Fight Club Mafia

Llama, I love your avatar. I love that you jump feet first into things. I won't vote Nevinera because based on what I hear of his participation he's likely a civ and not super powerful, and we want all the civs on our side that we can get!

Of all days that I have ALL day job training out of town and an out of town friend that I am hosting this weekend. On top of that I have soooooooo much reading to do in these threads. Ugh. I'll catch up as soon as I can!

Sorry friends, but I'll be unavailable all day tomorrow and I have to get up at the crack of dawn to leave for training, so I have to vote now and I hate to do this, but it's going to be random.

I am so stoked about this phase of the game though! Alex, you rock!!!!! :drums: :guitar:

I randomized and got *Keterman*.

OK, good night! :offtobed:
