Welp, there goes my hopes of getting points out of Suspiria.

It won the award of my heart, but for whatever reason, I don't see the Academy being too sold on it.

If I understand everything correctly, movies/actors are locked in and unchangeable on the date of their premiere, yes? Are we talkin' like, midnight on the night before the premiere, and if so, midnight in what time zone?

Yorgos Lanthimos is one of my favorite directors, and I honestly cannot wait for The Favourite, as I'm pretty damn sure it'll be fantastic. That being said, he has an......idiosyncratic style. There's a reason why I didn't choose the movie as one of my picks.

I'd love to live in a world where Lanthimos movies are snagging Oscars left and right, but unfortunately, I don't think it's gonna happen.

That being said, Olivia Colman has a pretty showy role in the film as I understand it, and I think she's a possibility to get some noms.

Not gonna lie, I'm quite hyped for Suspiria. Have any of you seen the original?
