Well, not really. I actually was planning on making a case against Marmot today, but then my morning got busy, and I told myself that I'd do it in the afternoon, and I forgot that the friggin' game was about to end.
Bleh.
After DrWilgy's performance in Blue Velvet, a game I hosted, where he did some bizarre, inscrutable role claim that made literally no sense for him to do, and caused his mislynch, I feel like he cannot be trusted whenever he claims a damn thing. Meanwhile, Marmot was giving me baddie vibes out the wazoo.
Is it worse to be wrong and lose, or to be right and lose? Probably the latter.

Wilgy's whole persona does seem quite different and more aggressive this game. Then again, if I were a scummeister, I certainly wouldn't be drawing so much attention to myself willgyingly. This is kinda what makes me suspect Marmot more, as he's laying low via irreverence ever since his mayor claim.

Re: Three-Day Day 1 Mafia [Day 1]
Despite him posting dumb things, I still feel comfortable with my Marmot vote over Wilgy. Wilgy's just too much of a gleeful instigator for me to take him seriously as a possible scumster. This may change with new developments.

this is stupidDrWilgy wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 8:21 pmI disagree. This prevents vanilla players from utilizing their ability of speech to the fullest. Why would you want to prevent a civilian from lying? That's the most useful tool to a vanilla.Kylemii wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 2:25 pm I'll clarify, there's 8 players. 2 mafia, and (up to) 5 players which can be cleared via role claims. I guess in this situation it's just 4 since apparently TH's cop read was on me and not a vanilla.
the absolute best move is for every civ to roleclaim, it eliminates half the puzzle and it forces the mafia out into the open or it forces them to fake claim, either way it simplifies things significantly, and gives us something to talk about.
Scumboi Kyle.

Re: Three-Day Day 1 Mafia [Day 1]
Alrighty, so lemme see if I got this right. We have 3 players (Kyle, Sprit, and Wilgy) claiming to be masons, and 2 players (Marmot and Colin) claiming to be the mayor.
The latter can be easily solved if the host confirms one of the two claims. If this continues to not occur, I'd like to ask both players why they choose to not do so.

You're not wrong, but for me having a semi-solid town read on page 2 of a thread is a major accomplishment. I feel like I should get like a fancy ribbon or something.ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 5:16 pmAgreed, but not a difficult stance to take.insertnamehere wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 5:15 pm Kyle's making the most sense of the people in the thread, and at this point I'd be quite disappointed if he was lynched. Re: Three-Day Day 1 Mafia [Day 1]
I just usually stumblefuck my way through it. After years of mafia play, I've realized two things: 1. I'm not very good at mafia. 2. I'm especially not good at Day 1.ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 12:52 pm I'm going to ask the same question that got me mislynched in Friends mafia: how do you all approach Day 1s? I'm just feeeeelin' things out, you know?
Sometimes I look at game threads at my phone, when I'm not in a position to actually post.
Quick NO U vote for Sprityo because I don't have any better ideas.

Re: Three-Day Day 1 Mafia [Day 1]
I'm an exceptionally mediocre vanilla civilian. Y'know those people who say that vanilla civilian is their favorite role to get? They're either liars or sociopaths.
