Going with leetic who's analysis was a much needed and ultimately squandered boon to the civs.
(Also, I think it's kind of tacky to vote for yourself in one of these things.)
(But I wouldn't necessarily discourage any votes for me... )

Re: End Game: Attack on Titan Heist: The Battle of Trost
I KNEW MM WAS CIV THE WHOLE TIME
Wow, what an absolute upset by the baddies. I'm not sure if you were more manipulative or we were just very self-destructive but wow that was a game full of civ on civ suspicion.
Thanks so much for hosting Draconus, I had a whale of a time.

Responses are bold and underlined
DrWilgy wrote:Sore wa chigao yo!
You are misreading me INH, and here's where:
So you get a 50% here. My game plan was to force questions that would get me involved with questioned player, but I didn't I used it to justify civ lynches. My votes were always on suspicion, for I would ask questions to those who are suspicious. Players I have questioned this game in regards to suspicion are you, Silver, Quin, Gleam, and Leetic... That's all I can remember off the top of my head. Players that I have received a response from were Leetic and you. While Leetic responded, he didn't respond to the question I was most concerned about that would've determined the root of my suspicion, also... I wasn't able to get on, reply and change my vote in time. I probably would've switched back to voting for Gleam, since it seemed that Leetic was making an effort to resolve my suspicion.
All 5 of those people that you mentioned except for Gleam I know for a fact are civ. So your radar seems to be a bit busted :P
I guess I also have a problem with what legitimate info could be gained from a question like this:
What'd you think he was going to say? "I'd rather you didn't vote at all?" or "I'd rather you just chose randomly?" If you directed this question at me, I'd just assume it was a rhetorical part of your defense and moved on, and that's what leetic basically did. And you decided to lynch him for it.I asked a question hoping for resolution, but then had to vote for someone before time was up. Would you rather me random vote or not vote at all?
It just seems that you are intentionally creating situations where you can trap people into doing something fairly innocuous and then you can jump on them and call them scum for it. It's an instant justification machine. You do all this while ignoring greater logic or any other real reason for voting.
There's a difference between whining and seeking answers (I was doing both ). I'm unsure why you thought this question was rhetorical. This mirrors your questioning of me asking Rabbit his alignment. I think there's a lot you can take from a question like this. How they respond, do they respond directly, do they dodge the question? These things can be learned from these questions, that I think you fail to see the value of.
If shifting attention off me was the purpose then it didn't work. INH, would you say that what Serge had argued before he died didn't make sense?
You mean this?
Serge wrote:I just want to point out that before the day ends that if the number of votes for one person almost reaches the remaining townie population then there is probably something wrong. Well, good luck town.
I disagree with this theory. I've seen near unanimous scum lynches due to the mafia turning on itself and deciding that they have to sacrifice someone who's in trouble. Although, in case of situations like what did end up happening, they usually make sure they all don't vote for the civ in order to build some hollow civ cred. Your vote came at a time when there was no chance of you turning the tide, so it seemed like a throwaway vote designed to be something of a shield.
Flimsy motive... probably once. Which one was the NO U? In regards to trusting Zebra. If someone you are hard civ reading gives a confident "I will oppose all other lynches" deeming them as stupid, isn't that worth putting some trust into?
I'd say you had flimsy motives more than once. The NO U was the Leetic lynch.
Also, seeing as there aren't any role checks in this game, the only way Zebra could be 100% sure of MM's alignment is if she was scum and he was civ. That, or his behavior in the thread is just so damning that there's no way to dispute it, which is also not true.
I'm giving Zebra a pass for now based on differing player styles, but if we're both somehow around Day 7 after you've been lynched, she's definitely someone I'm going to re-read.
I'm going to bed now

Re: Day 5: Attack on Titan Heist: The Battle of Trost
DrWilgy starts out the game casual and jokey with ika/silver:
After this point, leetic starts suspecting and talking about Wilgy. Here's Wilgy's response:
Of course, after leetic flips civ, Wilgy disappears from the thread for four days and doesn't ever reference leetic, or his feud with him ever again. huh.
Day 4: Wilgy is the last one to vote, and does so when the numbers are 2 to 6 in favor of lynching Serge. I think he knew Serge would flip civ, and voted MM to try and shift some blame away from himself by throwing away his vote.
He also never mentions MM as a potential lynch target before this, nor does he speak in favor of Serge. His decision in this lynch comes out of the blue.
Day 5: Wilgy decides early on to agree with Zebra's train against MM and vote him in the most verbose supportive way he could:
To summarize, DrWilgy has voted to lynch civs with deliberately flimsy motives twice, one of which a clear NO U, while being sure to craftily insulate himself from any possible repercussions. He seems to float from poorly put-together train to poorly put-together train, and his one vote that goes against that was more or less a throw-away designed to score some free cred.
He's crafty, evasive as all hell, and the most suspicious person in the game.
Please at least consider him before you all go back to your tidy little lynch mobs and get rid of another civilian.
DrWilgy wrote:sig wrote:Let me check my role card brb..........DrWilgy wrote:Yee! hbu?sig wrote:

silver needs to eb sorted soon.
figure out names meta, relookign its null
Then Wilgy starts doing his signature move: Asking people for their opinion on something while voting for them until he gets an answer. He used it first on me, and then tried it out on Quin 1.0. The possible scum benefits of using this as a trap are very apparent. He manages to use it to justify two civ lynches.DrWilgy wrote:Well, pardon me Silver, but here's the reason why we can't stop grouping you together.Silverwolf wrote:Stop grouping us together. I don't speak for ika.DrWilgy wrote: @Silver, are you and Ika both good or both bad? Also... I see you skipped my question from previous...
I didn't skip shit. I probably missed it. I have half the game lining up to scumread/question me for fucking playstyle shit ika and I get every time we play together.
along withika wrote:I'm on break but if people are thinking silver is scum I will bet you right fucking now she's town. If anyone is gonna fight me on that I will bet right now. I'm mobile so I'll speak later proeperSo why do you get upset when we read you together? based on the theory hat you read each other very well, we can assume if you two aren't doubting on one another, then you are on the same team.Silver wrote:Also, if everyone is gonna start pairing ika and I up again, I'm gonna get irate. Just because we know each other IRL and are very good at figuring each other out in these games does not mean we are the same person. Read us differently.
Here's something else that's off, we aren't saying you are the same person, we are saying that you share alignment based on the above. Do you think this is true or false?
This all boils down to "I don't want people to read us together" but "we aren't opposing forces" and "Ika states that I'm civ", and that doesn't fit together.
Also, in regards to my question, it was a mindset type question. I hope that others answer it as well.
@Ika has Silver gotten past you as scum in any other games?
DrWilgy wrote:Quin, could you resolve this for me?I do like the way votes are spread though, we are on the right path.DrWilgy wrote:This all boils down to "I don't want people to read us together" but "we aren't opposing forces" and "Ika states that I'm civ", and that doesn't fit together.
Linki - Well you haven't tried too hard to read me then Gleam, because I've contributed more. I'll help you settle your frustration when you (if you) answer any questions that I've asked the group and stop saying that I don't do anything.
DrWilgy wrote:Guess I'm voting Quin.
After this point, leetic starts suspecting and talking about Wilgy. Here's Wilgy's response:
When leetic doesn't answer this rhetorical question, Wilgy starts to whine and talk about voting for him:DrWilgy wrote:There was no "illusion" of wanting to give Quin a chance. I wanted to give Quin a chance and even stated so, but only because of my dislike of voting replacements. I asked a question hoping for resolution, but then had to vote for someone before time was up. Would you rather me random vote or not vote at all?
DrWilgy wrote:Voted Gleam for 7 way tie memes, and for not acknowledging me. If it wouldn't break the tie and had 2 votes, I'd vote Leetic as well. If Marmot was my dad I'd be DrWarmot, most definitely a Marmot Doctor.

Define "alignment-indicative."a2thezebra wrote:Not really, I don't find you suspicious and town needs all the help we can get right now.
Seriously, can we lynch at least one of the Metalmarsh89, sig, and Bullzeye group? I said they were mafia a (real-time) week ago and not one of them has been lynched. Instead it's just been horribly justified lynch after horribly justified lynch and town has yet to learn its lesson.
linki - My response would be that your heart is full of shit. I would deem actual reason to be suspecting people for things that are actually alignment-indicative for once in the history of mafia. Take motivation into account instead of just "oh this is peculiar, that must be bad herp derp" and all that.
I've based all of my votes on reasons that I still stand by. I'm not gonna take it back and say how wrong I was. Hindsight is 20/20, and what you deem horribly justified lynches I can still see the logic behind.
Also, whining that nobody listens to you without providing reasons why we should other than you just saying we're full of shit is kinda not the best way to endear trust.
What do you mean by "take motivation into account?" I was under the impression that I was already doing so, but if you can give me some more reasoning as to how you came to your conclusions, other than my heart says so, maybe I can see and possibly endorse your stances.
Right now my heart isn't telling me anything good in regards to you.

I hate these basic-ass reasons for voting someone. And this is not just directed at Serge, although it definitely applies here. Yes, I use the chance for possible information as a deciding factor to jump on, but it's usually secondary to y'know, actual facts and shit.Serge wrote:I think we should votr INH. I placed my vote where it would likely help one of those three get lynched, today..... Serge....
Terrific.

Sorry that my posts haven't made your brain release "civ-feeling" endorphins in your brain that make you want to not lynch me, unlike Zebra apparently who you want to protect due to past games you've played.DrWilgy wrote:Zebras playing too tame to be mafia. Rabbit, I don't think voting Zebra is beuno right now. Perhaps we vote INH together?
I could get down with voting INH. I had a feeling he might be bad early. Maybe the damn town we are fraking up is shtick?
I had the same feeling, and I'm getting it again. I'll vote INH.
I've never played with you before Wilgy. You don't really have a civ and scum baseline to judge me with, so I honestly find your vote kind of incomprehensible.

At this point, taking a stand on anything can be interpreted as a scum "schtick."
So, in the future when I'm civilian, I should just act as scummy as possible just to be sure people don't see me as scum trying to "act civ and blend in."

Well, there's really no way to defend myself from this with logic or facts because your case isn't based on that.
So all I can do is bang my head against the wall and hope that more people listen to logic than you.

I'd like to contribute the idea that sig didn't vote yesterday and didn't address that when he returned. Kind of seems to me like he just didn't want the attention at EoD. He's got some pretty detailed scum reads on Serge, which I think is going to reflect on one another's alignment depending on who flips first.

Re: Day 4: Attack on Titan Heist: The Battle of Trost
I think that Serge is scum, and I'm also beginning to suspect Zebra. Serge for both going after Leetic hardcore for no other reason than NO U, and getting super aggressive whenever anybody either questioned or suspected him. Zebra for attacking MM with, in my opinion, little to no reason, and for using voting records as both a shield and a sword, when they can mean jack-squat and are a favorite tool for scum trying to steer lynches. I've played in too many games where mafia members ensured that one member always voted in the right direction in order to establish cred, and civilians are lynched for being confused and not choosing the right people to trust.Quin wrote:I'm all for that. Do I wanna go after Zebra today? No, I'd rather go after Serge. But she's someone who has a big from me. (And not just for thinking True Detective Season 2 is better than Season 1. I will have a post up in the True Detective thread analyzing both seasons tomorrow.)
I also agree that a Serge lynch would reflect heavily on sig.

Re: Day 4: Attack on Titan Heist: The Battle of Trost
Well Zebra, if you're reading MM as scum based on metagame, general reads, and a bad voting record, I personally can only really see some slight merit in the last one.
If you wanna vote MM, go ahead. But unless you come up with a case that's able to convince someone other than yourself, I'm not gonna consider it.
Also, I disagree that if you made a big Leetic-esque wall post people would ignore it.

So as of right now civilians are down 5 members with a sixth one gone tonight. On Day 4, there'll be 3 mafia and 6 civilians.
Not a good ratio.
I think it's time to officially get our shit together.

I haven't seen anyone post a spirited defense of Serge except for Serge, and I'm nowhere near convinced by his. Everybody seems to agree that he's shady, but everyone always pursues other options at lynching time, primarily to our detriment. I'm putting my foot down, hopefully in a way that'll kick Serge out the door.

I'm beginning to get a little suspicious of Leetic. Yes, he's posted some solid analysis, but it's become more and more subjective as time goes by, and he's acting like anyone who doesn't do wallposts and disagrees with his opinions must be bad. I also lack the comprehension to understand his vote for Metalmarsh. I still find Serge more suspicious, but leetic is beginning to lose my trust.

Re: Day 2: Attack on Titan Heist: The Battle of Trost
Alrighty then, so today who really sort of set me off are three people who voted for, in my opinion, fishy reasons.
1) bass_the_clever
Anytime anyone votes in order to "tie things up," they always get an eyebrow raise from me. It's probably a minor pet peeve of mine, because it's not only unproductive, it also serves as very good cover for baddies to slip through a day cycle with. Also the whole "cheating" thing also makes me a little bit uncomfortable. Not sure I see as much there as leetic, although it does annoy me that Bass did kind of a NO U with his vote for leetic. This whole game it seems like people keep voting for him purely because he brings forth points that they disagree with, not because the points he brings up are scummy in any way.
2) serge
This is honestly my biggest suspicion right now, and if voting for him at this point would be in any way productive, I'd do it. I agree the reasons for him picking up votes Day 1 weren't great, (even though I was one of the ones who did vote him) but everything he's posted since has made my eyeball twitch. Him turning around and voting leetic after leetic posted a case against him, and not bothering to actually argue against leetic's case other than saying he flipped flopped was kind of coo-koo. And the whole "you guys are picking on me because I'm new, even though leetic is newer than me" thing has more holes than a piece of swiss cheese.
3) bullzeye
I also don't agree with MP's idea for a Dizzy lynch, but I see it more as an MP move and not a scum move. Bullzeye jumping on the wagon immediately set me off as much as it did zebra, whose vote for her seemed pretty solid. My suspicion for her is less than the other two, but she's definitely someone I'm gonna keep an eye on.
Now, our fair host Draconus posted at 7:14pm yesterday that he was extending the poll by 24 hours. I'm going to assume that's when the poll ends.
