Alex - I totally agree with this.

In case you don't though here's how I see it. Cohen's win conditions say this: "Wins by surviving, but only if everyone else alive has never doubted him." Since bea is the only one left alive and she has doubted Cohen I think that makes bea the clear winner. Bea congrats, regardless of how the poll comes out. Maybe my logic is screwed up but I have no time to think through it anymore - I am voting for bea. Boomslang, you played a marvelous game and congrats whether you win or lose.

Re: [NIGHT 10] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

I don't think it (the red room) will just vanish either. MP went to all that trouble to make all those roles, each so precisely us, that it's hard to believe he would discard it. I agree it's hard to believe they will continue to take 3 people each day - unless we really are all transferring over there and that becomes the real game, and that would be like starting over. Whatever MP has in mind I'm sure it will be fun!

On the subject of bea I believe I have figured out how she could have killed herself and be rezzed and still be a civv even though she doesnt have the rezz power. The way I see it happening though there should be no hesitation on her part about the self kill, i.e., she should know exactly how it happened. Her hesitation, i.e., her saying she's pretty sure she knows how she killed herself has me a little puzzled. I don't know if my idea of how it could have happened matches with Mongoose or not and I haven't yet done what bea suggested and gone back and read around the points where she was freaking out or other odd things were happening to her. Maybe I'll have another idea once i do that.

I don't want to spend all my time in this next day phase looking at bea though. I think it's important to figure out whether she's good or bad but in case it looks like she's still civv I want to have someone I am comfortable voting for. I went wrong voting for bwt (and welcome back by the way) and I don't want to do the same again.

Re: [DAY 10] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

My responses to each of DH's posts. I cannot figure out why some of the links are not showing up as links but I think they can be pasted in the bar and will work. If someone has an idea as to why they are not showing as links tell me and I will repost. Sorry this is long - i wish I had lines or boxes to make this easier to read but basically it is DH's original link from his last post about me followed by my answer, either in the form of another post where i answered him or text where appropriate.

Here are some links to take a look at my thoughts on JC

http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 948#p55948
My response: http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 979#p55979

http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 804#p54804
My response: I am not positive but i think the quote above have my responses to date.

One thing I want to add on the issue of my comment after kate's death. This is what I said:
"Wow, that was quite a night. BIH Bob but RIP Dom, like someone else said i didn't see anything that made me believe you were bob. And RIP Kate IYWG and I have no reason to believe you weren't. It's a shame you both personally are out of a champions game early, but i have to say I'm relieved we don't have to worry about bob anymore. There were some other things in that night post but i need to go back and read it because everything was overshadowed by the kills."

So DH I'm still not seeing where I "talked her up". The underlined statement is the only one that applies directly to kate. Maybe you are talking about some other quote but you'll have to point it out to me because I can't find it.

http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 791#p54791
My response: this is just a post saying he believes I am on one of the teams. There is no added information in this post.

http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 789#p54789
DH says it pings him that mongoose "came to my rescue". I don't know why mongoose commented as she did, you will have to ask her. But, she is not my teammate as I have no teammates.

DH says I am either not on AP's team because I expressed the desire to vote for him or I was showing irritation with him in the thread. viewtopic.php?f=50&t=280&p=51124#p51124 - AP was not a teammate - I have no teammates. I was not showing irritation with him in the thread I was expressing my desire to vote for him.

DH says I was trying to steer away from conversation on media and up to that point i had focused on media/zodac interactions and not on baddie hunting viewtopic.php?f=50&t=280&p=51418#p51418. Yes, I was focused on Media/Zodac. Besides Epi and someone else I can't remember wasn't almost everyone focused on media/zodac? I don't see how this has anything to do with me being bad. You could take an instance of anything I said and say "see, she was focused on this instead of baddie hunting".

DH said I did a 180 about INH viewtopic.php?f=50&t=280&p=51470#p51470. I did change my mind, does that mean I'm bad? This is just another example of DH just pointing out something I did and trying to add it to evidence of me being bad.

DH points out i brought up a bwt suspicion but said it was not enough to vote on. This is absolutely true. I had a ping but there was not enough for me to vote on. DH points out bwt voted for kate's rezz. If the implication here is that bwt and I were teammates, that is simply not true. bwt is not a teammate, and in fact I have no teammates. So this is a suggestion that someone else is bad and I didnt vote for him. It is possible bwt is bad but at the time I had not seen enough evidence to warrant my vote. I thought I made that clear in my post.

DH points out I wanted to see who Kate had posted about prior to her death after she died. He guesses I had a vested interest. I did not. I simply couldn't remember anything controversial Kate had said and in fact, didn't find anything when I reviewed her posts. He also said my inquisitiveness made it look like i was involved in her death. So, here he seems to be saying i killed kate instead of being on the same team as kate.

DH says I am acting like LT or Dom. When I asked about that, saying that was extreme, he admitted that he didnt think I acted at the same level as the two of them.

I think I answered everything else in this post inside the post.

viewtopic.php?f=50&t=280&p=54753#p54753
This post covers the same ground as the previous post as far as i can see. The only thing I noticed that was added is that I voted for bea to have the shield. I did indeed vote for her - how does that make me bad??

Any responses that anyone has a question about please ask and I will answer.

DharmaHelper wrote:Sure you've answered them, but I don't think you've answered them satisfactorily.
I totally disagree.
DharmaHelper wrote: Does anyone else have any other suspects?

@Bea Sure I can pull together some stuff. If you want specifics I pretty solidly put forth voting evidence that suggested JC might be with Kate's team and Nev put out a good bit of evidence that might point to JC using shifty language to get a vote boost from Rumpelstiltskin. But off the top of my head these things come to mind

1. Voted for Kate in the rezz poll
As I stated earlier, I thought at the time Kate was a civv. I had a small ping that FH might be bad, I had no pings about kate and thus I went with kate over FH.
DharmaHelper wrote:2. Nev's analysis of the Rumpelstiltskin power includes JCK
Here is just one of Nevin's comments about his analysis. He was talking to me: "Vomps is gone, and my argument against you and bea is disproven, so there's not anything else solid to bet on that I'm aware of."
DharmaHelper wrote:3. When Epignosis (Whom I suspect was PP) was a contender for the lynch, JC voted the other candidates, helping Epig avoid being lynched.
This is from my answer to DH's earlier post:
- Day 5 was the day llama submitted the case against you DH. I defended you in the thread and voted llama for what I thought was an attempt to get you lynched.
- On day 6 I was still neutral on both Epig and bwt. I re-read Vomps and FH had brought up an important point about Vomps so I voted for him. The case for him was strong enough that you also voted for him DH.

I will address each of the quotes above in a separate post since this one is getting lengthy

And nev's rumpelstiltskin possibility
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 749#p54743

See my post above about what Nev thinks of his analysis. Here is another quote from Nev regarding his analysis: "You're welcome to try to pry additional leads out of that type of analysis,
but I didn't find much aside from the short list I presented before,
which is now clearly inaccurate"

Hope that helps.

And i hope these answers help. More to come a little later (the figure skating is on now)

Going by the placement/timing of their votes for Epignosis, I think we can discount SD and Timmer from being teammates with Epig if Epig was PP. Someone we cannot discount however is Juliets. That's where my eye will be turned for this coming day :P
On day 6 I was still neutral on both Epig and bwt. I re-read Vomps and FH had brought up an important point about Vomps so I voted for him. The case for him was strong enough that you also voted for him DH.

All this is predicated on the fact that Epig was PP and we have no way to know that at this time.

Epignosis voted for Kate, which supports the idea that Epignosis was PP and Kate was Big Daddy.

Going by the placement/timing of their votes for Epignosis, I think we can discount SD and Timmer from being teammates with Epig if Epig was PP. Someone we cannot discount however is Juliets. That's where my eye will be turned for this coming day :P
I'm not sure why you've picked me out of the group to focus on but I'm sure you will explain and I'll answer tomorrow.

I've gotta fess up....I'm pretty sure this was MY fault, unfortunately. I had a prize from my MacGuyver story, though I had NO IDEA what it did, just that I could only use it during the day phase. I'm so so very sorry SVS.
But BDH, somehow she had to get a vote didn't she? You didnt do that. Or was it considered a tie because none of us got any votes? And Zodac decided? That just doesn't seem right because if Zodac is civvie-leaning why would he choose SVS? This whole thing just doesn't make sense to me.

Spacedaisy wrote:Ok, I just read ten pages at 40 pp and there is this scene playing in my head from Chicago. I feel like I should be singing "give 'em the old Razzle Dazzle..." This day period has felt like a three ring circus. There are two distinct groups pulling in two different directions. SVS, Bea and BDH are kind of grouped together and pointing at Llama and Nev. Nev and Llama are pointing at Bea. And then you have DH coming in with this Vomps stuff. It just seems like a lot of confusion. I liked Nev's word analysis. But I am hearing SVS and what I am hearing is not, "I suspect, I believe" It is "I know." She would not be saying that if she did not know. I also believe BDH believes Bea is Civ. and yes I think he would know her well enough to know how to read her a lot better than me. And I originally thought she was bad until she was targeted for a NK. I have a waffled a lot on her so this has been tough. Also, I don't understand the logic of killing Bea if you believe she is Martell. If she is, we have no way of knowing it for certain. Why is she the logical choice from your group of three that emerged in the word analysis? I'm just not understanding.

Vomps... DH surprised me with that one. To be honest it seems the most like desperate attempt to distract. (It was DH who brought this us, was it not? Stuff melds together when reading ten pages in one sitting.) anyone can copy and paste. To say that it looks like Vomps because of that seems like a HUGE stretch. And Vomps seems like an easy target to me.

Arg. I don't know if Vomps is bad, but I don't like the case against him. But I have a bad feeling about the way this lynch has gone and particularly about the idea of lynching Bea so I am going to cast a vote on Vomps and see how the chips fall.
Spacedaisy, going back through your posts I stumbled on this one again. So much was happening during that lynch I didn't even notice that you said this until re-reading you. You seem to really not want to vote for Vomps - everything you said was about not voting for him. Yet you vote for him. Wasn't there anyone else you at least had a ping about that you could have voted? It just seems odd.

I want to hear what Daisy has to say about the socks/cold/feet and her explanation here before I would consider voting for her, so I may very well vote llama today.

Re: [DAY 8] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

FH, the way I read the Rumple definition is that whoever says the magic word gets their vote doubled so if that's true, Timmer's list isn't narrowing down who is Rumple after all. I should have re-read that role when he posted.

Also, I agree with the comment about SD's post being odd. Why not just put on your socks and then start your post - what need is there to tell us that. I meant to take a look at her posts the other day but didn't get to it so I will do so today.

Here is a list of how I am feeling about people at the moment:

People I feel OK about: BDH, DH, Lizzy, SVS, bea, Nevin
People I feel neutral about: BF, Boomslang, Devin, Eloh, FH, Mongoose, Timmer, Hedge
People I'm concerned about: llama, bwt, Daisy, DF

"Concerned about" does not mean I feel sure they're a baddie necessarily, it just means i at least have a ping about them. I obviously need to clear my neutrals to either an "OK" or "concerned about".

This is an interesting analysis Timmer which bears some scrutiny. I am not Rumple however.

Last time I collected the evidence on bwt I was not convinced he was bad but I'm concerned that we never saw him yesterday yet he posted in the other game. I don't want to think he is avoiding us but I'm not sure what else to make of it at this time.

I have re-read bf and bdh and saw nothing in either one that I could attribute to their being bad. I want to read through a few more today, I think concentrating on the names Timmer brought up. Someone(s) have got to be bad, whether in the Timmer group or somewhere else. I agree with something SVS said earlier, too many people are seeming good.

Again, if I don't find anyone I am comfortable with I will vote for llama, though I'd much rather have someone other than him.

bea! If this is what I think you are clever, and as I suspected at the end of the lynch, civ. Welcome back!

I think the Nev vs. BDH argument was civv on civv and hope that now that bea is back it calms down. I've though Nev was civv for some time now for the reasons FH outlined.

I don't know who I want to vote for today. llama is a possibility but someone (Nevin was this you?) convinced me so thoroughly that a lynch of llama was totally a waste, though I understand that it could give us some information. I'm going to take a look at some people who have not been in the discussion and see if I can find anything in their posts. I will also look at SD since FH has brought her up as a possibility (and like she said, someone mentioned her yesterday).

To be clear on what I'm saying about the night post, Zodac evidently agreed with our selection of Aces so s/he did not intercede. I'm not sure in that case whether we would say Zodac killed Aces or not - the important thing though is it had nothing to do with the lynch.

timmer wrote:Okay guys, settle in, then, this will be a long post full of…. the maths.

Looking back through the polls, one of the ones that caught my eye the most was the Day 5 lynch. Epig had 6 apparent votes, the llama had 10, and yet the lynch apparently ended in a tie since ultimately Zodac took over and decided it (picking Aces, for whatever reason he had to do that). So in the process of trying to figure out how it all happened, I've come to some interesting conclusions.
Timmer, I'm not sure why you think Epig and llama tied on day 5. Aces was killed Night 5 because he was on the night poll and we voted for him. Zodac didn't kill him. Maybe I'm missing some huge point here and if so, just straighten me out.

Re: [DAY 7] The Syndicate's 2013 Game of Champions

Summary of what's been brought up about Vomps.

1. Votes day 0 and says he doesnt want to talk about it
2. Votes for Dom for reasons he says he can't reveal
3. AP stood up for him and said he would vote anyone who voted Vomps
4. Early in game vote by gleam because vomps only made 2 posts and not even any jokey ones
5. Said its possible he was on a baddie team and his fellow baddies told him who to vote for
6. Very quiet but talking in spanish, throws a vote on him to participate more
7. (Note: talk of Vomps in another game being a high posting civv)
8. Part of VAL voting block
9. A Person announces he will protect Vomps
10. Could be AP teammate because who else would let AP behave like that
11. Votes 11 for no other reason than he has an affinity for 11
12. Vomps voted for Kate
13. When asked about why he changed from voting Dom, did not want to got back in the thread to remember how he voted and why
14. Seems to steer clear of the popular vote maybe to avoid detection
15. Vomps is suspected of being Jack due to his rescue from the lynch and the message posted
