Re: Anniversary Game 1 - Classic Syndicate [Day 2]

Michelle
Spoiler: show
Wants to "sheep" which is just, not a good look. Forgets why they think Bea/Llama are town which is interesting. Thinks Sloonei's vote is weak.

Overall Read - I don't like the idea of sheeping, at all, ever. I also don't think the theorycrafting around the Splints NK reads as town.
Quin
Tries to guilt Sloonei into backing off by saying Sloonei is "better" than gut reading him.
Tacks on To the LoRab suspicion.
Votes LoRab

Overall Read - Not a whole hell of a lot of individuality to go on. The long LoRab post is detailed but is more "please explain" and less "This is proof of baddie behavior". Tough to get a solid read out of any of it.

There’s wifom all the way down with you today.
Yes because I'm famously well known for employing WIFOM.
I don't know if this is sarcasm of not, but "I am employing wifom because I am famously known for employing wifom" is the exact "imitating yourself" thing I was talking about.

It reads to me like you're trying to 'be DH' instead of actually just... solving some stuff.

Sloonei's point that you are not doing anything to perpetuate your reads is on point. I was asking you why you'd vote Scotty or G-Man today because at this point, to me, your vote for G-Man reads like a throaway excuse to not follow through on your obsession with Scotty.

I think there's a good chance you and scotty are w/w. I'm gonna be reading Scotty's posts to see if they back that up today.
No it doesn't because I read G-Man as bad and voted for him and repeatedly asked him to address my suspicions and he wouldn't.

No it doesn't because I explicitly said why I suspect G-Man and voted for G-Man.

Can someone please read any fucking post I make please God I'm begging you.

thanks, keep that healthy suspicion on me.

I just rechecked DH’s ISO parade from yesterday and found his progression actually much smoother and logical than I remember. He does express the most suspicion on GMan, with some others sprinkled in. He even added his list of 5 people he would be willing to vote towards end of day, with GMan at the top.

Now, Elo was also on that list, and he didn’t go near that wagon and was fine standing pat on a vanity wagon, so that’s not the greatest look. But his suspicion progression isn’t out of nowhere
He fixated on you all freaking day until the isos. I liked the logic for his suspicion on the iso, and he did make the list of five that suddenly had G-Man at the top long enough to vote G-Man and not you...

And promptly seems to have forgotten his suspicion on G-Man ever existed.

His day one didn't ping me. His day two is what pings me.
That’s fair. His Day 2 attitude does seem to just be obstinate.

I think asking where his GMan suspicion is fair.

I could even unironically see a DH/GMan pairing even though I have GMan as a Townread. GMan was never taking off as a wagon yesterday.
If you are genuinely town, DH/Gman is an alternative, but less plausible in my mind, explanation for what was happening.

Scotty, you cannot legitimately tell me, if you've read his posts back, that he was not fixated on you all the way until the isos, and then again on day 2. He's married to you and he just flirted with G-Man when he saw him at the bar one night.

Re: Anniversary Game 1 - Classic Syndicate [Day 2]

ISO of purely N1/D2 posts:

G-Man:
Spoiler: show
Says the Vivax lynch "simplifies" the game "for us". The rest is fairly fluffy/OT.

Overall Read - Not bothered to fuck with a guy who has IRL stuff he's doing, but also, miffed that he's not addressed my ISO from D1 so he's still suspicious to me.
Golden:
Spoiler: show
Mourns the Splints kill. Does some light tilde solving stuff. Back and forth with Scotty here Which doesn't last long

Offers some reads here Namely wants more from DF/LoRab and has no reads on Michelle, Kate, Doc. Less so on Doc.

Votes Quin because he's "coasting"

Thinks My D1 stuff was fine but my D2 stuff is suspect.
Pinged by my Scotty post
Feels Like Eloh Townslipped

And the rest is back and forth with me pretty much which is funny but not productive.

Oh and also a DFaraday vote instead of a Lorab vote which is incredibly safe and therefore suspicious. Only marginally less suspicious because of how consistent it is.

Overall Read - I don't think Golden is bad. In the world that he is though, he's teammates with Scotty.
Kate
Spoiler: show
Tail end of Day 1 (once she started playing) She seemd pretty keen on a Scotty suspicion The rest is Most if not all OT stuff so again, not much to go on. Only real "ping" here is that Kate managed all D1 without contributing much (Not to be mean, but it is true) and then was targeted by OT Green? Smacks of mafia self targeting to get a lynch pass.
Llama
Spoiler: show
Wants to look at people who avoided the Eloh/Sloonei Wagons which I think is smart.
Disagrees that the Splints kill was "bizarre"
Didn't read anything I posted
Posts an updated Rainbow List Which reads to me as largely empty. Classic trying to appear helpful but not actually being that helpful.
Feels worse about Scotty after realizing that he voted Quin
Is suspicious of LoRab and Quin for being blendy/quiet
Votes LoRab
Votes Quin shortly after
Offers this explanation. Seems measured.

Overall Read: Still fairly okay with putting LLama in the town camp but I am pinged by the rainbow list "contribution". Though his other thoughts/posts have been contributory enough to excuse that
Lorab
Spoiler: show
"RIPIYWG" splintsHere And posits that splints was a "good kill" if someone on the mafia team has knowledge of her past games/skills.
Doesn't offer any reads because she doesn't want to help mafia And is paranoid about game secrets.
Defends herself here and here

Overall Read - I dunno maybe I'm stupid but this feels like a bandwagon/easy lynch to me.
Anyway thats just so far. Combine Kate's being OT'd with her vote on LoRab and she rockets up my suspect list.

Other than that I don't really care/don't have anything of substance to offer.

G-Man wrote: Fri Oct 28, 2022 5:03 pm Vanishing for most of the phase was not my intention. Here is a short version of what I have so far:

Several tiers based on participation-

Big Talk- Scotty, Sloonei, Golden coward, DH- I would be shocked if there wasn’t a baddie in that group. Maybe two, but lots of productive chatter for the most part.

Llama in a tier of his own, but I still feel loose llama is good llama.

VivAxe or Viv2.0, Eloh, Michelle, Quin- mixed bag here. Eloh was sussed yesterday, Viv2.0 is a reset and still murky on D1 NAA read, Michelle feels most ambiguous (her posts didn’t make any impression on me), and same goes for Quin. These folks are at radar-level. I need to ISO to see if I detected a skimmer.

Kate, sig, Bea, Wilgy- 1/2 seem off the table today and the sig is less memorable that Wilgy licking everything in sight. Under the radar crew- also need ISOs to find manufactured content.

G-Man, LoRab, DF- low posters. Not ideal to find myself in that camp that must be ‘dealt with’ before too long. I saw points about LR’s evasiveness but I’m not exactly one to harp on that without being a hypocrite just yet. DF… just needs to show up for the weekend and get some content before he becomes an afterthought to everything happening in the present.

I will try to speed read the day and make a vote after I get back from wife’s birthday dinner.

Too many null reads for me right now- not a good look. Need to get my head back in the game and sort out some townclears to help my poe.

I'm gonna be reading Scotty's posts to see if they back that up today.
thanks, keep that healthy suspicion on me.

Are you doing a bit

I don't think its alignment indicative unless you consider that if I am SK or Mafia I tend to dig my teeth into the game more than if I am CIV vis-a-vis mechanics and I also tend not to put my foot in my mouth and I also tend not to do anything to draw an unnecessary amount of attention to myself.

But I personally don't think it means much, from an alignment perspective.

How do you feel about DH?

I have thoughts about DH. But I will have to express them more tomorrow when I’m not typing away on my phone in the dark while my wife tries to sleep
He has not ruffled my feathers yet. I admittedly have not taken any time to focus on any players in particular this game. Nearly all of my activity has been sitting around and engaging with the thread in real time.

I expect to fix that tomorrow afternoon.
I’m still up for some reason.

One thing I want to address is his ‘thorough’ reads of each player- the ones where he summarized every player’s narrative and put it in spoilers? In the moment it looks dandy, but at the end of it, I didn’t get a clear picture oh what conclusions he drew from it. It was as if he was just stenciling a Monet and presented it as his own art.
What wasn't clear about me explicitly saying what I thought about the people I took the time to read?

Am I on crazy pills?

No I meant that your post literally means nothing. You said nothing there. "You're imitating yourself" and "Because I don't think you're town, I can't not think you're bad"

Nothing.

Also, its NAI.
If it means nothing how did you manage to frame it up to mean something else that I didn’t say?
Because in the absence of meaning any meaning can be interjected by a skilled tactician. Thank you for both proving my point and complimenting me.
No, it can’t be given ‘any meaning’. It means exactly what it says. You saying it means something I didn’t say (that I ‘can’t help reading you as bad’ when I said ‘the absence of a town read troubled me’ is not finding a different meaning to it. It’s adding something that isn’t there.
I side with Golden in this kerfuffle, and not just because that was my predisposition. DH's objections feel arbitrary and/or to be missing the mark. That does not need to mean that he is mafia though.

While I'm talking about DH, I want to revisit a point that Scotty made yesterday. DH spent some time ISOing everybody on Day 1. And while that work is appreciated, and he came out of it with reads, I do not feel as though he has had much momentum in pursuing those reads since. There has not been much, if any, follow through on the work he started.

Not really. To the same degree that I would expect mafia to play with the same level of activity they’ve already played with.

I’m more perplexed by the amount of people that seem to have admitted submitting a song and either didn’t follow the rules or just didn’t get judged for whatever reason

Let’s put some pressure on them then.

Vote LoRab with me. She says she is going to post more, and we’re now less than half the day left, and she won’t give reads.

Or vote Quin, who is content to just shrug about everything.
