@DharmaHelper my post at you sounded witty and snarky in my head at 12:30 a.m., but my brain woke me up over it twice last night. Now it reads more like a nasty asshole wrote it. That is not what I aspire to be. I apologize.

The salient point is that I brush past individual observations like yours most of the time and only slow down when it seems like misinterpretations and mischaracterizations are catching on as either a spreading theory or groupthink. You had a lot of points about me that were wrong but it would have been too much time and effort to slow down and refute that many points. Too much micro-focus on stuff like that is also something baddies fall into. I have the luxury of not needing to worry about little details that much because I am a civvie.

Sorry if my post pushed you further to or further over the edge.
nothing to do with you boss.

Votes are still changeable at least. I went a bit over llama again, also worth remembering the post where they agreed that kate was a candidate for faking mafia role usage on self.
Tis the legacy:
Therefore, if I should die before I wake, look at Quin, Bea, Kate, G-Man, and Sig to be possible culprits.
I'm less inclined to sus G-Man. The thoughts seemed genuine without much fluff in his later more sizable posts.

I want to focus on Bea for today because I think by Day 3 everyone should have done a few prods and pokes towards players they suspect. But I still have no insight whatsoever into whom bea has as possible mafia (and didn't vote yet).
I don't know if Tangrowth did anything
bea wrote: Sat Oct 29, 2022 2:12 am Another thing to look into: did we see any evidence of Tangrowth this phase?
but she seems to avoid talking about the eliminations, most of the time.
We are looking for peeps who fake their scumreads and I can't do that when I don't know them.

I have no idea how Sloonei ended up with a townread on bea either. But it came along with an equally strong TR on Quin. I think I might have to undig the Sloonei suspicions again because this reads a lot like a mafia would treat a pair with one teammate in it (among Bea and Quin). Sloonei sticks out with these two reads I think.
Sloonei wrote: Sat Oct 29, 2022 2:21 am Your efforts to provide comprehensible content while insanified are appreciated, Bea.

Also you can have a town read. Congratulations!
Sloonei wrote: Sat Oct 29, 2022 4:29 pm Kate, Bea, and G-man all feel like players we could have stronger reads on collectively.
I'm probably not going to oppose a DH lynch, though. Because I have no idea what their posts are meant to achieve, recently.

Kate has been generating reads, but the vast majority of them are developed in reaction to other's posts. Very little proactive scum hunting is happening. I'm seeing this as a scum doing the rounds to respond to lots of prompts, but not generating anything new of her own accord.

Can you comment on this, @Kate ?

Al the ‘I just want people to read’, ‘people say I have no substance’, ‘goldens reads are probably wrong by me providing one post and calling that an objective fact about my game’ is nonsense stuff, and it’s all of this that has me reading him as bad.

I see he claimed to Kate he just wanted people to engage with him and he deeply tried and woe is him for no one being willing to engage back.

Bullsuit. The opposite is true. He called the suspicion ‘meaningless’, ‘a bit’ etc…

I have been trying to engage everyone in good faith. I’ve also really really tried to walk away from DH, but he just can’t help but put in another boot in bad faith.

I don't think its alignment indicative unless you consider that if I am SK or Mafia I tend to dig my teeth into the game more than if I am CIV vis-a-vis mechanics and I also tend not to put my foot in my mouth and I also tend not to do anything to draw an unnecessary amount of attention to myself.

But I personally don't think it means much, from an alignment perspective.
So I pitched that question to the general public, and you were the only one to answer. And your answer was a WIFOM, consisting of basically “if I were bad, I’d just talk with wild abandon, which is what I’m currently doing” so thanks for that

Anyone else pause at DH’s mafia team confusion in D1? Or at least think it holds any weight?
I swear to God someday somebody is going to read my posts.
By your own admission I’m the only one seemingly reading your posts so what am I missing?
I explained in my color-post, but
And your answer was a WIFOM, consisting of basically “if I were bad, I’d just talk with wild abandon, which is what I’m currently doing”
Is not true because what I said was "When I'm Mafia/SK, I tend to focus in on and utilize mechanics more than when I'm civ, and I tend to be very careful about what I say"

Which is the opposite of what you said I said. Which means you didn't read what I said.
If that was your intention, it didn’t come out like that to me. Here’s the quote:
“…if I am SK or Mafia I tend to dig my teeth into the game more than if I am CIV vis-a-vis mechanics and I also tend not to put my foot in my mouth and I also tend not to do anything to draw an unnecessary amount of attention to myself...”

Separated the thoughts by colors.

I’m no English major like Sloonei but can you not see how that would be confusing and not just me not reading your posts?
i can see how that would be confusing which is why i did my color post.

also if you remove the green portion of your interpretation and focus on the portion that is the same color you end up with "

“…if I am SK or Mafia I tend to dig my teeth into the game and I also tend not to put my foot in my mouth and I also tend not to do anything to draw an unnecessary amount of attention to myself...”

which is me saying as mafia/sk i -

1) dig my teeth into the game mechanics more
2) Tend NOT to put my foot in my mouth
3) tend to be more careful and blendy and don't grab attention

which is still the opposite of "“if I were bad, I’d just talk with wild abandon, which is what I’m currently doing”

surely you can see how that is confusing.

Sloonei is so defensive of Quin, I can actually hear Quin’s voice whispering ‘QUAAAAIIDDD’ from beneath Sloonei’s shirt. He’s gone into detail about this town read- gushing over Quin’s genuine attempt to flesh out his read of Scotty vs Elo on D1. And without any other addition today, continued to peddle his undying love.

I believe Golden has bought the swill due to maybe thinking Sloonei is a particular town role. But I don’t buy it. It’s too heavy handed.

The question then becomes: if Sloonei is actually mafia partners with Quin, how likely is he really to be so over the top in defending his partner? It’s a wrinkle, but not unheard of. I try not to do full pairings by putting the goose before the plane, but this particular duo seems linked to me. I think Quin should he the first to go, however, because that would help solve a lot of wagons in these 1st two days.
The player I have as my strongest town read is being widely suspected for reasons that I feel are misguided, by several players I trust. In the absence of a strong suspect, I am going to stick up for the player I town-read as my primary focus.

If Quin's not bad, which is a premise I could eventually accept, that changes the math a bit.

You’ve done isos on Sloonei.

Did you miss that Quin has been his top town read for ages? Sloonei has been very clearly and openly voting to save Quin.
Okay.

My vote was never on you, guy. It was briefly on Lorab.
Your right, I confused your vote with two votes that you quoted when I was reading your posts back.

Why did you continue to vote yourself during the entire ordeal? It sure seemed like you were content to be the proverbial pin the tail on the donkey
Because I was content to be the proverbial pin the tail on the donkey. If the choice was "Get lynched or vote for an obviously townie LoRab" I am going to get lynched.
That you were the only person in the thread (besides LoRab) that thought she was obviously towny just made my eyes turn inside out
If I thought she was mafia I would have said so in my ISO, or voted for her to save myself.
But you chose not to vote for Quin, who is obvious mafia
Wouldn't have mattered.
It very much would have.
Six is, as I'm sure you're aware, more than 5.

I saw you kept saying how obvious mafia were being, and yet you weren’t pointing to said obvious mafia.

So you think Quin is obvious mafia?
Didn't I do a whole "Here's where I would look" post like, twice?

I'm not intentionally making a joke out of "please read my posts guys" But that is pretty funny.

DharmaHelper raised an intriguing point about Kate, and I wanted to see if he would take any action at all if I presented the opportunity to start a wagon against somebody he suspected.

He did nothing and continued to yell about how unfairly we were treating him.
