Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 15]

Episode XXX: Star Whores

The death of Han Solo was the death of the Rebellion. With no one left to oppose his mighty Empire, Emperor Palpatine ruled the galaxy with an iron fist.

With his former masters dead, Salacious Crumb roamed the far reaches of space whispering nonsense into the ears of unsuspecting people wherever he went.

As it turns out, the scrap and salvage left behind in the destruction created by the war meant good business for the savvy Jawas, who saw a period of unprecedented wealth after the war.

===

Meanwhile in the real world, DharmaHelper prepared his final assault. his numbers swollen with the recruitment of MacDougall and Russtifinko, now his New Sith Empire was prepared at last to fulfill the prophecy. Adorned in their signature cloaks, the Sith marched out to meet their foes one last time. As they made their way towards the party however, they were intercepted by a furious Matt.

"Who the fuck do they think they are." Matt mumbled to himself before being lifted into the air by an unseen force. DharmaHelper's hand was outstretched, his face twisted in focus.

"Join us or die." DharmaHelper called out. Matt, confused, nodded his head in affirmation of the former. DharmaHelper released his captive and turned to face his new apprentices MacDougall and Russtifinko.

"Make him ready, my students. We will meet you at the end of all this." Russ and Mac, practically transformed from their previous selves, nodded and set about indoctrinating Matt. Roxy and DharmaHelper once more stood at the doorway to the movie party, and wasted no time in destroying it with a blast of force energy.

"What in the fuck. We really need to look into getting a better door." Dom exclaimed before realizing the source of the commotion. Remembering the last time they were paid a visit by the awesome duo, Dom pushed Blooper and Wigly behind him, bravely readying himself for the consequences. Yet no attack came, as instead DharmaHelper and Roxy waited silently for the rest of the Sith to arrive. When all were present they had formed a straight row in front of the door, facing Dom, Blooper, and Wigly. DharmaHelper took the lead, kneeling down on one knee. Soon after, the rest of the Sith followed suit.

"It is as the prophecy foretold." declared DharmaHelper. "You are the Chosen Ones, who will lead our new Empire to victory throughout the galaxy."

Dom, Emperor Palpatine, has won.

sig, Luke Skywalker turned to the Dark Side, has won.

nijuukyugou, a Jawa, has won, along with Golden and Russtifinko.

DrWilgy, Salacious Crumb, has won, along with the Hutts, a2thezebra, bcornett24, and Enrique.

DFaraday and MetalMarsh89, the Tusken Raiders, have won.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Night 14]

Episode XXVIII: You Didn't Have to Stoop Solo

After the destruction of the planet Endor, the Rebel Alliance was in terrible shape. Their leader Mon Mothma was presumed dead along with anyone on the planet at the time of its demise, and there was no one left to fill the role of leadership she left behind. With no clear direction, the remaining Rebels turned from a single, coordinated force into a scattered collection of guerilla fighters, each with different methods and goals for the resistance. All across the galaxy these sects were being wiped out systematically by an emboldened Empire. Galactic support swelled for the Empire once planetary leadership realized the capabilities of the new super weapon. In more ways than one, Endor marked the beginning of the end of the conflict throughout the galaxy.

Hoth, a long-time stronghold of the Rebel Alliance, seemed to be their last great holdout. Using the harsh conditions of the planet and their already established facilities there, a select group of Mothma loyalists were able to reorganize and mount an offensive against the Empire, engaging them in a series of bloody conflicts on the snowy surface. The rumor was that Grand Moff Tarkin and the Emperor had ordered that the superweapon Death Star not be used on Hoth, insisting that a decisive victory by Imperial troops was necessary for morale and that the facilities on Hoth would provide valuable aid in tracking down and eliminating any remaining rebels.

Imperial high command was also quite interested to learn how such an organized remnant of the rebel force was able to maintain itself in the harsh climate of Hoth. Their apparent access to necessary resources raised a critical question: Who was leading this resurgence? And so for these reasons, and perhaps some that were far above any Trooper’s pay grade, Hoth was spared the fate of Endor, and the battle for control of the planet was waged. Unfortunately, the rebels holding out on Hoth proved much more resilient than anyone could have anticipated. It was quickly becoming a concern of whether the intelligence offered by taking the planet was worth the long, drawn out campaign that was beginning to unfold.

Once more, The Syndicate was called in to finish the job. They took a shuttle down to the planet’s surface and were briefed on any information concerning a bunker that was believed to be the main operations base for the rebels. Their objective was to breach the base via an unsecured maintenance shaft and slay any rebels inside. Their secondary objective was to arrest the person in charge of the base, given the codename “Runner” by imperial intelligence for their apparent ability to quickly transport resources to the planet without being detected.

As they were approaching the infiltration point however, one of the Syndicate operatives noticed something odd. The cold wind carried the shouting of several voices, and a crowd could be seen at the entrance of the bunker. Aces gave the signal for the team to stop, and he observed the scene quietly through the scope of his blaster. The crowd seemed to be arguing violently about a single person in particular. This person was in the center of the argument and looked from Ace’s perspective to be bound by the hands and gagged. Curious, Aces ordered the Syndicate to take tactical positions and watch his back while he approached to negotiate.

“Hands where I can see ‘em, rebel scum!” He shouted, raising his blaster and simultaneously noticing that no one in the crowd of Rebels appeared armed. They complied after another inaudible spout of arguing, and seemed to almost toss the bound prisoner in front of them.

“He’s the one you want.” One of the rebels replied, pointing at the silent, brooding prisoner. “We surrender, please let us live.”

Apparently the rebel forces on Hoth were less confident in their ability to hold out against Imperial invasion than they originally appeared. As Aces learned by interviewing some of the surrendering rebels, a small but vocal group had agreed to turn over their new leader in exchange for leniency, preferring whatever fate the Empire had in store for them over being blown up or freezing to death. Aces and the other members of the Syndicate assured the cooperating rebels that they would be treated fairly, before massacring them inside the bunker and taking their leader into custody as they’d been ordered to do.

MacDogall took a handful of popcorn and tossed it into his mouth before contorting his face into a grimace and spitting it back up into Dr Wigly’s face.

“What the fuck is that Wigly? You call this popcorn? Screw you guys I’m going to join DharmaHelper.”

“What was that last part?” asked Matt.

“I said I’m going to bed.” MacDougall replied before slipping out the door quite briskly

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 13]

Episode XXVI: Hoth for Teacher

Roxy sat in the center of an ornate, ancient shrine with her legs crossed and her eyes shut. Her face was twisted in focus, as all around her was silence save for the flickering of many candles. She had been there for some time since the Holidays had begun, meditating on a great mystery. This was in accordance with the wishes of her master DharmaHelper, who was insistent that her meditation would reveal an important aspect of the next phase of their plan. Meanwhile DharmaHelper himself had been quite busy. He’d felt a disturbance in the force, and had departed his sanctum in order to seek out and destroy the source of it.

DharmaHelper tracked the source of the disturbance to the Ranch, a place strong in the Force wherein the fabled Betrayer had built his Empire. Once a powerful and noble Sage, the Betrayer butchered the original trilogy for his own gain, abusing the powers he’d been given and retreating into the Ranch for sanctuary. But the Betrayer had grown weak and reckless in his exile, and it was easy for one as strong with the Force as DharmaHelper to strike him down. Once this had been done, balance was once more restored and DharmaHelper returned to his apprentice even stronger.

Roxy’s meditations had yielded less impressive results. She could not quiet her mind and make clear the visions the shrine had been presenting her, and so to see her master returned lifted her spirits. The pair had always been much more effective together, and so Roxy was certain that her master would shed light on all that troubled her.

“Darth Busty, you have returned.” Roxy bowed her head, honoring her master. DharmaHelper nodded and waved his hand, indicating for his apprentice to rise.

“It is done, I have defeated the Betrayer, and the original trilogy is safe from his meddling.” DharmaHelper glanced around the shrine, noting the many indicators that Roxy had not ceased her meditations since his departure.

“What troubles you so, my apprentice? We are winning, and soon the Chosen One will be revealed to us.”

Roxy frowned and turned her head away, as if ashamed by her failures. “My master, I see many things and know few. The Force speaks to me but I cannot hear. In my vision I see people with many faces. I see a woman with three faces and three names. I see a great battle on a planet of ice and snow, and this woman with three faces is there in the middle of it all, fighting. But she is also somewhere else. I see her, and more many-faced figures, all watching. Sometimes they watch me, sometimes I see them watching each other.”

DharmaHelper paced the length of the shrine, his black cloak trailing behind him. As he passed the ceremonial candles scattered about the room, he blew them out, slowly plunging the room into darkness as he listened to his apprentice describe her visions. He did not look troubled, nor did he appear surprised to hear anything she’d described, and when he reached the final candle a smile crept across his hooded face as if he’d realized something of great importance.

“You are strong in the Force, my apprentice. What you see is the Force’s way of telling you what is, what was, and what will be. Many before you have used the Force in such ways. I will help you to interpret these visions and bring clarity to your mind. Meditate with me and we shall uncover the truth behind your words.”

Roxy seemed nervous, perhaps uncertain at the prospect of further meditation, but still she complied, returning to the center of the shrine and sitting down once more, this time facing her master as the single remaining candle flickered in front of him. When she was ready, DharmaHelper blew out the last candle and moved quietly to sit next to her, and the pair began to meditate together. Their combined powers sent a chill through the shrine, or perhaps the source of the cold they were feeling was something else entirely. Perhaps it had something to do with the planet of ice and snow that Roxy had described in her first vision.

Before long, Roxy and DharmaHelper were standing in inches of frigid snow, staring out at a great battle that was unfolding in front of them. Warriors adorned in shining white armor fought against screaming figures in snowy fox holes. The sky above them was alight with rays of beautiful destructive power. Giant metal beasts trounced through the landscape and whizzed by overhead. The whole affair seemed oddly familiar and yet new at the same time.

“They cannot see us,” remarked DharmaHelper. “And if they could, they would be too consumed by their hatred of each other to care.” He removed his hood, seemingly unaffected by the wind and the cold, and glided effortlessly forward. DharmaHelper appeared to be driven by some unseen or unheard force, moving ever closer to the source of his apprentices’ distress. Roxy silently followed, noting to herself that with their combined effort this vision was far clearer than any she’d had in her master’s absence.

After several minutes of quiet travel, they came upon a spot in the battle that seemed to emanate with powerful Force energy. DharmaHelper stopped, raising a hand and pointing to the source. It was one of the shining white warriors, her weapon raised and screaming out into the depths of their vision.

“This is the three-faced woman. She cannot see us, she does not know us, and yet she calls to us my apprentice.”

“How can this be? Is she the Chosen One?”

DharmaHelper laughed, his voice echoing into the cold air. “No, I don’t believe she is. The Force has called us here to witness her death, I should think.”

Roxy gasped before steeling herself against the strange compassion she felt at hearing the words. “Peace is a lie, there is only passion…” she recited the Sith code to herself quietly, before turning to her master once more.

“My master, if she is not the Chosen One then why have we been brought here to witness her death? What purpose does this vision serve?”

As they conversed, the battle going on around them got bloodier and bloodier. The three-faced woman saw her comrades falling all around her, and seemed only to be made more determined and deadly with each casualty. With a raw ferocity she lunged back at her attackers, slaying many in the process.

“We are here so that the way forward can be made clear, my apprentice. The death of the three-faced woman will bring us the answers we seek. It will show us the way to the Chosen One. We must observe.”

Spacedaisy, seeing her battalion being torn to shreds by the entrenched rebels, tossed her blaster into the snow and charged headlong into the fox hole in front of her, leaping to avoid the blaster fire. She landed atop a stunned rebel soldier and bashed his face in with her bare hands before yanking his blaster from his grasp. She crouched on one knee and sent a hail of blaster fire into several more rebels, each of them screaming and dropping into the sizzling ice. A brave rebel soldier grabbed her from behind and was shaken off, flipped over her body and stomped on furiously. As reinforcements began to flood the fox hole, Spacedaisy was not resigned to her fate. She fought on, taking down scores of rebels before being pressed into the wall of the foxhole and slashed with half a dozen vibroblades at once.

Re: STAR WARS Mafia [Day 12]

Episode XXIV: One and One Makes Two

The festivities on Endor had picked up once more after the kerfuffle with the translator droid. Black Squadron’s leader, a pilot named Jack, was putting on a sort of impromptu concert with his brother Kyle. Songs filled the air and everyone’s spirits were lifted so much that it was hard to believe they’d been fighting a war at all. The problems of the galaxy seemed so small. But this peace was not to last for long, as over the din of music a great rumbling could be heard. Looking to the skies of Endor, the rebels spotted several Imperial ships entering the planet’s atmosphere, no doubt carrying battalions of soldiers.

“How did they find us!” someone cried out. “Betrayed, we’ve been betrayed!” another voice shouted. The rebels scrambled to gather their weapons and take up defensive positions. A few hundred yards from the encampment, the imperial forces began to amass themselves, preparing for an assault. They were on the rebels as suddenly as they’d appeared, attacking with the familiar cold efficiency of the Storm Trooper. The ensuing Battle of Endor was as long as it was brutal, and there were casualties on both sides. When the dust cleared, it appeared as though the rebellion had won the day. The Storm Troopers of the Empire were retreating, pulling back into their transports and leaving Endor and it’s people to reflect on the blood and destruction they had wrought.

The rebels watched the retreat cautiously, firing their blasters to drive the Troopers back further and further and keep them away from the wounded and the dying. A few brave soldiers charged into the open field of battle to bring their brothers and sisters back into friendly territory. Once the retreat had completed, everyone stopped to take stock of their current condition. The city itself had been ravaged, many of the trees and structures blasted and burned to rubble. Where once music could be heard now only the cries of the wounded rang out. Jack and Kyle, who had survived the battle and rallied several members of Black Squadron together, were leading the recovery effort when Jack noticed something was off.

“Why did they retreat so quickly? They were winning. Wait a minute…” Jack tapped Kyle on the back and dashed to the command hut, where he found the door had been caved inwards. The inside of the hut had been completely ransacked. There was no sign of Mon Mothma. The Rebellion’s last best hope for leadership had vanished, lost in the chaos of the battle.

===

Mon Mothma sat in chains on board the Imperial transport shuttle, flanked by two members of the Syndicate, Moff Tarkin’s specialized task force. They’d used the battle as a cover for their boldest operation yet, the kidnapping of the Rebellion’s figurehead. Since the Syndicates formation, they had conducted several key operations against Republic leadership, but none was as successful nor as impactful as this.
“Just kill me already.” Mothma finally said, breaking the silence like taking a hammer to glass. A few of the soldiers exchanged glances and smirks before one of them, a dashingly handsome man with the call sign Aces, jabbed the butt of his blaster into her face.

“If our orders were to kill you, you’d be back on Endor with a hole in your head sweetheart. Nope, Command wants you alive. We got plans for you.”

Shortly thereafter, the Syndicate escorted their prisoner to the personal quarters of Grand Moff Tarkin, who greeted them all with an enormous grin.

“Mon Mothma, how gracious of you to join me in my time of celebration.” The Moff began, waving off the Syndicate. They dumped the rebel into a nearby chair before departing.

The Moff’s quarters were large and extravagant as anyone would expect; no doubt one of several perks related to his ascension. Its most elegant feature was a large glass window that looked out into the stars. In this case, the view to the Moff’s room was largely dominated by the planet Endor. He turned on his heels, staring out the window and allowing Mon Mothma to stew in her silence for a while.

“The war is over.” Tarkin finally said, quite matter-of-factly. “You’ve lost, and over the next several days you will tell me everything I need to know to make sure of it.”

“And if I don’t?” Mon Mothma lifted her head high, defiant even in her current position.

“I was hoping you’d say that.” The Moff pressed a previously unseen button on a panel just to the right of his large window, and spoke calmly into the intercom.

“Fire the weapon now.”

Bubbles has been lynched, she was Mon Mothma
Bass has been killed, and the planet Endor destroyed
It is now Night 12 (Technically the final Night on Endor)
