Actually, it is more worrisome in the end game. At that point, everyone should have real suspicions and opinions on almost everyone. Not wanting to voice those suspicions, and thereby take suspicion yourself from those you suspect or those that trust them, is a fairly overt baddie tell.

The fact that you are saying this actually makes me feel better about you.
Agreed. It's always only a matter of time before someone decides to start randomly going after low posters, especially to save themselves. I'm certainly leaning Borok right now.

And for the record, I am actually buying CBK's defence, I think. She's reading more civ to me than Borok is, at least.

And RIP Bullz, I was wrong.
Just wondering, DF, did you read SVS's post?

I think I was drowsy when I commented on that, because I now see what she was saying. I initially read it as "It's suspicious to default to low posters instead of finding something actually suspicious about players", which is my sentiment, and why I said I agree. So I guess I was really just agreeing with myself. :p

Anyway, I'm *voting Borok*. Also, did I miss something? What's the case on Dom? I've been reading civ for a long time with Dom.

Re: Homestar Runner [Day 10]

I was leaning Bullz out of my suspects already (I'm still on the fence about Indi), and the fact that Strongsad thinks so too does help. I do feel like there was a push to save Timmer, and Bullz seems the most likely of the lot to be Timmer's teammate, imo. I will *vote Bullz*

I do think you're civ. And I stand by that we should look at the SVS votes from last time; Bullz stands out most to me for a reread, and Indi has come across as generally civ to me.

Re: Homestar Runner [Day 9]

RIP Mata!

@Juliets: My suspicion of A Person was mainly because of his play style, but various people said that's just how A Person always is. Nothing has really grabbed me about AP since then.

@SD: I'm glad someone knows what's up.

@Dom: I'm offering my thoughts on a semi-consistent basis, certainly not the blendiest person in the game. And I'm not sure where you got the idea that I'm so helpful in other games, because usually I'm not. :p

I'm actually leaning towards looking at the people who followed my SVS vote yesterday, as they may be Timmer teammates bandwagoning to save their friend. And yes, I'm aware of the irony of focusing on the people who voted the same way as me.

indiglo wrote:After re-reading DFaraday, I find his thoughts to be pretty consistent all game. As for his level of quietness, I just mean I don't think one could pin him down as mafia or civ based solely on his number of posts. He has a consistency in his posts that means something to me. They didn't read to me as "fluff posts" or "filler posts" as I went through them. (Which doesn't take long since there aren't many. XD ) He said enough and was consistent enough to be believable for the time being, at least in my book.

I'll say though, my experience with him is limited. So I'm simply basing it on what I see in this game, and the small tidbits I've seen. I could be way off, so if someone who knows him better can chime in (or he himself, sorry for talking about you like you aren't here, DF) and share their thoughts, that's welcome.

DF - do you remember what game that was we had BTSC? I can't for the life of me remember. Sad, really. :sigh: I should keep a mafia scrapbook, wouldn't that be fun? I can't even remember how many games I've played, or what the topics of them were, or who all I've been on teams with. And I was really trying to remember last night.
I don't remember what game it was...but I'm pretty sure we were bad.

Agreed that DP is playing typical DP style, so I see no reason to single him out. I'm not sure what to think of Borok's random Dom vote, I think I'll wait to hear more from Borok before I form an opinion there.

I'm on the fence about Timmer, but I feel kind of leery of how the votes are suddenly piling onto him. Given that SVS seems to have kicked off the Timmer votes, and I still have a suspicion that SVS could be Trogdor, holding out for the time being, I will *vote SVS*

I do agree that Dom and Timmer are good to at least look at, but this was a lynch, not an NK, so I think it would be more of a leap to say that because they were gunning for MP, and now he's dead, we should start looking at them. It was a group effort that killed MP. And I'm actually leaning civ on Dom anyway (Timmer I have no clue).
DFaraday, care to share any other insights? You usually have great insights as a civvie... but not so much in this game. I'd love to hear them!

Interesting. i was leaning Bad on Dom and don't know on timmer. You probably know Dom way better than I though.
Interesting fact! DFaraday and I played our first games together! We actually had BTSC. I think we do know each other pretty well.

I think you're giving me way too much credit, for starters! Beyond that, I'm still considering the possibility of SVS as Trogdor, but I'm even more inclined to think that Trogdor is either dead or a player who's completely inattentive to the role. I think tonight will be a good indicator of where things stand there, as if Trogdor is an active player, I doubt they will keep forfeiting kills just to stay hidden for long.

I do feel like MP was right, and a lot of people have brushed off whatever he had to say, but I don't necessarily see that as suspicious. I do want to reread BWT, because of vibes mainly. And I don't know everyone's playing style here, but I suspect a few quieter players may simply be trying to blend in. DP, at least, I know always acts this way, but I wonder about some of the people I've never played with, who seem a bit nondescript.

I still don't get the MP suspicion (as I haven't all game). At times it feels a bit forced to me.

*Pretty much the same thing I do in the day*

EBWOP: SVS, I think the reason DP and I got off easier on that point is because we're both notorious for flying under the radar, whereas you're rather outspoken more often than not, so your absence was very noticaeble.

timmer wrote:Incidentally, I've got to hit the sack, but in an effort to summarize where I'm at in my "look beyond MP" plan, I'll just briefly say that Borok is difficult to read and seems confused, or maybe is just new? I think I even asked that while camping, so this isn't new from me, really.

also, in the sense of finding a quiet, frequently absent player who could be trogdor, I'll point to DFaraday and DP who I haven't seen much of anything from in my read through yet. Also, leamiteo. he (she?) has gone long stretches between posts, so maybe they could have missed some PMs, however, his (her?) posts sound fairly civvie, whereas DP and DF have been more neutral.

Also, Vompatti doesn't seem to be contributing much beyond the word ture, which I'm sad to have to ask is a deliberate misspelling of true?

Anyway, more and hopefully more helpful posts tomorrow.
Ture, it is a variation on true, and is apparently Vomp's catchphrase now.

And as cool as Trogdor sounds, sadly I'm not him. Even when I'm not around much in Mafia games, if I have a cool power to send in, I make sure to do that. :noble:

Regarding the other quiet players, DP pretty much always reads the same to me, and I don't really recall Gleam's posts much at all. I do agree that leamiteo seems a bit more civvie-sounding.

As for the Dom/Snowy thing, I'm reading civ Dom, but I was feeling kind of civ on Snowy earlier on, so I'm not sure what to make of it. I do feel like Snowy may be overreacting to Dom, but as a frazzled civvie, harder to say.

And welcome LT (bye Bea!)!

Re: Homestar Runner [Day 4]

My ping of Matt has subsided somewhat, I think it was mainly what I perceived to be over-eagerness on his part, which came across as shady to me. I do think the Lizzy/AP think has merit, but if only one of them is bad, I think it's Lizzy and AP is just too trusting. And since I have to vote now, I'll just *vote Lizzy*

RIP Dev. I had started off suspecting you, but you were starting to look better as time went on.

People are calling for my thoughts, so I will note how I'm still not quite buying A Person's strategy; it just seems like an easy way to avoid committing to anything.

And for the record, I'm thinking Llama and MP are good (possibly because I've seen MP been singled out for his style too many times).

I do think the case on Hedge is a little strained, and I'm reading her defence as sincere. I do have an eye on Dom, but it's more a feeling than anything.
