Good game, team. Time to kidnap some castaways.

Not that I'm protesting it, but why is the game over now? We'd kill and then it would be 2-2. If Golden randomized one of our team to be lynched the next day, and we killed again, wouldn't the last day be 1-1? Wouldn't the civvies still have a shot at randomizing the lynch in their favor?

Also, what was the result of the Island being mad about the tie on Day 1?

From your description of one centric episode and seven total, coupled with this being Season 3, I'd venture to guess that you are Nikki and/or Paulo. I'd have to check but that sounds about right, as Rose and Bernard had their centric episode in Season 2.

If Nikki, your catch phrase is: "Razzle dazzle!"

If Paulo, you just stand there looking like a lost but devoted puppy dog until your better half shows her true colors and chucks a paralyzing spider on you out of greed.

Either way, you got the short end of the stick this game, unless you've got crazy awesome powrs.

So you're saying that you're Nikki AND Paulo? And that you had a kill even though your role card said you're a vanilla civ? At the very least, the role card was leaving out an incredible amount of information about you; at worst, it was actively misleading. I don't see why I should believe anything about your role card, or that you're civ.
Short answer: That's not my full role card. It's half.
I still don't think that necessarily clears you. I know I'm civ, and with G-Man also confirmed I can't see how this game could have an unkillable (until Night 4) confirmed civ as well as a civ who comes back to life and has a kill on top of it. It just doesn't seem balanced at all to me.

No I didn't. I said your answer was unsatisfactory to me. I thought Llama's thought process was pretty straightforward: he voted Sorsha, started taking suspicion, then said he would switch to me if other people were willing, but for the time being he would stay on the most viable choice. In real life I don't agree with that strategy, but I understand it, especially in Mafia.

SVS, I brought this post up earlier, and I wanted to hear your thought process on it. Why is it suspicious that Llama would vote out of self-preservation, even if that person wasn't his top suspect? At that point in the day Sorsha was Llama's best chance at staying alive.

Re: Lost Again Mafia (Season 3) - Day 1

Going off of G-Man's theory, I looked at the reasons for voting Llama given by each of the Day 1 Llama voters.
Spacedaisy wrote:Of the three leading, I am most comfortable with a llama lynch. I am at work and can't post much more.

Voting llama
This is the only reasoning Daisy gives for voting Llama at all. She made a lengthy post after the lynch, but did not address her reasons for having voted him then either. Given the timing of her vote, I would guess that if Speed is bad she could be a teammate trying to save him. If he's not, then she looks like a bandwagoning civ.
Sorsha wrote:Put my vote on llama for now. I'll change it later if saving myself is a possibility.
Sorsha's vote makes sense, considering that she had several votes on herself at that point (including Llama's). Since Llama already had a vote, Sorsha voting there is simple self-preservation.

S~V~S wrote:I wonder if Sorsha noticed she had three votes when she was in here.

One vote on a person for a silly reason, ha ha lulz. Dropping a second vote on someone for a silly reason, not cool. Dropping a third vote, what baddie would do that?

I hope to see votes moving there or better reasons put forth.

So dropping a temp vote on Llama for lulz. If he takes his vote more seriously, I will too.
SVS is the first of the Llama voters, and also had the most to say about him. Interestingly, her initial vote doesn't sound as if she intends to keep it there.

Llama was making sense here, he was trying to vote in such a way as to maximize his chances of survival. I find it suspect that SVS would paint that as "quixotic" without acknowledging Llama's obvious reasoning for doing so?

nutella wrote:
thellama73 wrote:Quin is the only one in this game talking any sense, so I am following his vote on Sorsha.
Huh? Why? He literally said there was no reasoning behind that vote. Why follow it? I think Quin is civ, but that doesn't mean I'll blindly follow his vote. Do you have reasons to suspect Sorsha? I don't. :shrug2: But I have reason to suspect you.

*vote llama*

Also, have you hinted at your role at all? Even if you haven't watched the show you should be able to find a quote or something from your character (just the superficial information Quin found about his character was enough for us fans to deduce who it is). I may have missed something though.

On another note, I don't think I've ever seen DFaraday this active on a day 1, lol. Maybe it's because he's especially interested in the theme and the roleplaying/references, but it still feels unusual coming from him. But I do agree with his assessment of speedchuck's vote. I could probably just as well vote for speed since he has the same problems as llama. And his only attempt at hinting has been multiple references to the smoke monster. Not sure what's going on there. :ponder:
Nutella's reason for voting Llama is due to him following Quin's meaningless Sorsha vote. As someone who voted Speed for the same reason, I can't fault Nutella for doing that. She also brings up Speed's smoke monster references, but votes for Llama. Why she picked one over the other, I'm not sure.

Of the four, and just going off of their votes and posts on Day 1, I'd say SVS and Daisy look the worst, and Sorsha looks the best.

His first paragraph was fine enough, but he followed it up by saying that by not addressing him directly, I was behaving suspiciously, even though Quin had done pretty much the same thing to Notsawyer. Notsawyer framed my post as being an attempt to convince people to vote for him, when all I did was throw out my thoughts on his post, THEN IMMEDIATELY ask for his input. Following that up with a vote for me in the same post is what solidified it as an overreaction to me, especially rich considering his qualm with me was due to me supposedly not being open enough to dialogue.

Also, SVS called it a "Knee Jerk no u over defensive reaction", so I'm not the only one who felt that way.

Notsawyer's reasoning sounds quite similar to that used by Llama and Speed, which is to say, none at all. As we saw with Llama, that doesn't make him bad, but the way that little sequence played out it sounded like he used your clarification to strengthen his resolve on voting INH, as if it made INH more suspicious. There's also the fact that INH was killed last night.

Though if I recall, in the first season game the bad roles were selected from among characters who weren't villainous on the show. That would kind of remove the need for fake claims, but I don't know if that was the case in the second game, or if it would apply here, since there were quite a few villain roles by that point on the show.

The island is disappointed. This is not what you were brought here to do.

All participants in the tie have been marked by the island for death.

Quin
Epignosis
llama
S~V~S
sorsha
nutella
spacedaisy

You are all eligible for death.
We've angered the Island. I've done everything you wanted me to do, so why are you doing this to me?!?

Rest in peace, Llama. I was wrong.

At this point, I don't particularly know, the votes for Sorsha are the only thing to stand out to me so far. Who do you think I should vote for?

I just really dislike it when people put others in a lynchable position for lulz. Probably an artifact of when we did not have changeable votes.
I would never dream of telling you who to vote for, but DFaraday is almost certainly bad if you care about such things.
How's that? You call my vote opportunistic, but is it any more so than following a literally meaningless vote? That allows you to avoid any discussion or culpability by framing your vote as meaningless. Speed did the same.

Huh?

:ponder:[/quotew]
The Island has revitalized me. It can work wonders for all of us. Also I am trying to mix up my game so that people can't pin me down to meta.

It's opportunistic to go after the people doing things for no reason.
But what if they're not doing it for no reason? What if this, all of this, everything we've done and said and voted had a purpose?

Why on earth would he give them shitty role claims like that this time around? Also, just because a lot of fans hated Nikki and Paulo (I enjoyed their story, it just was not very well written into already established characters. Plus Paulo was some excellent eye candy, if you ask me, lol), that doesn't mean they are baddies.
Well, they weren't acting for the good of the Island, in any case.

I agree that Nikki would be a weird character to fake claim. When you say you find G-Man's vote questionable, do you mean you suspect G-Man? Because I seriously doubt he's bad.

For being the last person who hasn't checked in. You got a problem with that? Oh wait, that's Ana-Lucia's bit. I mean, oi! I don't see a problem with it, do you? Where's Jack and Locke when you need them for a sense of purpose and direction?

You all everybody...
I've been here all along, Charlie. You didn't hear a word I said about the moths, did you? Just tell me, are you...are you using again? When you threw out the Virgin Mary statues, did you hold any back? You need to let the Island help you.

G-Man, have you ever looked closely at a moth when it's on its way out of its cocoon? It makes its way out even though it doesn't have long to live. Sphinx moths live two, maybe three months. Yucca moths, two days if they're lucky. And yet, all kinds of moths struggle and slaw their way out just the same. Why do they do that, G-Man? Why do they claw their way out knowing they're going to die so soon? They do it because the moths know that with what little time they have left, they are meant to accomplish something. They have a destiny to fulfill. Just like us, G-Man. So use the time you have left to accomplish what the Island wants you to accomplish. Figure out what you're needed for. Then do it, before your time runs out.

Season 3 is both my favorite and least favorite season of LOST. Either way, glad to be here!
