Hmm, I hope not. I've not really been a fan of two-parters in recent years (The Family of Blood was good though), and prefer smaller Doctor Who stories. But if they can do them well, I'm fine with it.Bullzeye wrote:Having seen the list of episode titles for this season, it looks like they're all two parters! Should make for an interesting season. I really enjoyed the opening episode, I hope they can keep up to this standard throughout the series.BigDamnHero wrote:I didn't have high hopes for the new season, but the first episode absolutely blew me away! There have been very few memorable episodes during Moffat's run (which I feel has nearly made the show unwatchable except out of sheer habbit/routine) but this one shot right up to the top of the list. Hopefully this will set a new tone as I've heard there are many more 2 part episodes planned throughout this season.
And of course the above doesn't apply to the first seven Doctors, all of whose stories were two or more parts. The Daleks' 7-part (!) episode was a bit much, but they pulled it off better back then.
