If you were playing soccer and your teammate kicked the ball into the wrong net, you'd say something.

Not, at all, the same thing. In soccer, that action is literally playing the game wrong. In mafia, this action is playing with a different strategy and mind frame. Totally different. Maybe it's not a style you are used to, but it's a action that some of us find natural. It's not the same thing as literally playing the game incorrectly. Game theory doesn't always take into consideration a difference of strategy, which is the downfall of the theory--it is too dependent on statistics. Which, in mafia, at least the way we play here, doesn't work. If you say it is, then you are dictating the manner in which people approach the game, which isn't, imho, appropriate.

Also, please tell us why you voted for Golden.

I don't actually think you are the player that silences, so what you say is moot. Also, a nice slip to the LD. Everyone hates being silenced--it's kind of the point of the role. And, sure, you probably didn't self-silence. But that doesn't mean a teammate didn't silence you (whether you acquiesced willingly or begrudgingly).

And I don't think anyone suggested you were faking it? Not sure why you even denied that.

Dom, I say this out of love. Please step away from the computer. Golden isn't being a jerk or being personal towards you. I think you're misreading his intent, because they're about you. I recognize that's easy to do, to read things personally or assholic when they are against you. But I am not reading Golden's posts that way (and you know I'm quite sensitive to noticing people being asshats in mafia-land). I really encourage you to take a deep breath, and walk away for an hour or so. If you still don't want to play after that, then ask for a replacement. If you are civ, then asking to be lynched will not help those of us that want to continue to play this game.

Meh, I'm not particularly tunnelled on Dom. That's why I want LC to go, I feel far more convinced about him than Dom. Dom's recent exchanges have me feeling more town about him than I did before, and he is beginning to cast his net wider. Dom, Wilgy and Rico are all exceptionally tunnelled on me, none of them have ever exhibited a hint of doubt that I'm bad.

I'm not enthusiastic about someone who votes, and then tries to get people to vote elsewhere.

I'm toying with the theory that Golden's vote was forced.

For the moment, I'm holding off on my vote. If I'm in a position to be able to save someone who isn't bad, I'll vote in a direction to save them (assuming it isn't a matter of 2 people I think aren't bad). All things being equal, I'd like to vote for LC.

More likely that he's silenced. And he voted early to say, "Hey! I'm silenced!!" Seems unlikely that he was targeted for a silence by one team and a forced vote by the other. More likely he was silenced, I think, because he hasn't posted.

Also, I can't remember anything he said that stands out enough to make him a likely silence target. I don't want to vote for him this round, but my eye will be on him tomorrow. It also makes me eyeball people who are looking at Golden. I need to reread and check what names pop up (conveniently, at least one of those I already said above I'm rereading).

Looking at the poll and thinking about the show...

Big Rico's pizza is heavily implied to be run by the mafia (they had a wheat speakeasy going on after the wheat and wheat byproduct ban), as well as being the only pizzeria in town that hasn't burned down in an unsolved arson case....also, the hooded figures hang out there (they're not directly in the game, but on WTNV, they are mysterious figures who seem to control some of the politics). I would guess that that option is connected to one of the mafia teams, if the night polls are set up to benefit various groups.

None of the options seem directly connected to Strex Corps.

Jerry's tacos is run by the hooded figures.

Gino's is all about the experience, especially since they can no longer serve wheat and wheat by products. But it's still supposed to be good.

The former Sous Chef at Shame (the time rated fine dining restaurant) is now the executive chef at Tourniquet (the very hip spot in town).

The Moonlite All Night Diner is a place where people meet up. Everyone seems to eat there, including the Apache Tracker and Pamela Winchell. It's a place where everyone goes because it's convenient. Other characters mentioned in association with it we didn't know enough about when this game was created to judge that.

Arby's has lights above it--that's all we really know.

KFC and National Guard I actually forgot had ever been mentioned--so not so important to the show, lol.

Why so? I don't see you defending him in previous posts, other than an unexplained in your gut read list. Jack even admits that his argument defending the lololol was "the dumbest argument I have ever made in a mafia game." I see a lot of proactive defense from him as well, asking to be pinged and whatnot.

Also, I don't think the Rico push has much merit. In a game with this many secrets, it's not unreasonable to have smiley-only posting for a bit. Admittedly, I've seen a lot done with that, and he's not making any effort to contribute within that limitation.

Neverwhere is interesting. Says she looks forward to playing with Made, then votes him for "making a joke of everything" as unhelpful play. Even though Rico's play is objectively less helpful and she makes jokes like "Puppies pee on everything." Could be projection.

Neverwhere responded to Made saying nice to meet you, why wouldn't she engage in those pleasantries. Why would it be suspicious that she would vote for someone she wanted to play with anyway? Shouldn't you vote for who you thnk is bad even if you do want to play with them?

Not to mention, Rico was posting in smilies before Day 1, so.....

I don't think City Council has a stance on seafood, as long as they don't contain wheat or wheat by products. And LaShawn Mason and Earl Harlan, executive chef and sous chef at Tourniquet, don't seem to be roles in this game, so we should be good in terms of that. That said, food isn't always prepared in Night Vale, errrrrrrrrr, as one might expect if one is used to eating in the rest of the world.
