Thanks so much for a great game!!!

I am truly sorry (like, humanly, not in game) sorry for disappearing. Things just got…to be a lot in life, and then I was beyond catching up. Splints, thanks for reaching out to bring me back in. I appreciate it. And I’m really sorry to everyone for mostly missing the game.

And, I’ll say, coming back at the end and fighting for my mafia life, made me remember how much I love the game. So, thanks. Really.

SVS—you MFing FEB. If even half of my thoughts about you when I came back at the end were accurate, I am, as per usual, really impressed with you. Thanks for being an adversary all these years (and, dare I say, friend).

Abigail—I’m so sorry I thought you were bad at the end!! I really had thought that you were role hinting at my role, and I got caught up in reading your posts with the mindset that you were bad. Also, I’m truly curious—what info/clarification did you get that made you do a turnaround on SVS?

Robyn—seriously happy to talk theology any time!! Also, you were my night 1 search, so once I came back, I knew you were civ (because Nathan was dead) and read your posts with that knowledge.

And sorry Splints and Civs that I couldn’t do more in that last day.

And, you’re all stuck with me for a bit. I’m sucked back in. And no, I won’t be changing my style, but thanks for the suggestion.

I also think your vote was quite possibly forced this round...which leaves either Wilgy or Thunal as bad.

Noting, if I'm lynched (I still have hopes that someone will swoop and vote in my favor), here are my thoughts.

Abigail is bad. I'm 90% sure. I do not have information proving this, but it is based on things that she has said in the thread. She is a baddie. Read back what I've said about her.

Scotty could very well be bad. Thunal I don't have a solid on. I could see them being bad. I could go either way.

SVS set me up (good job, friend--but also glaring at your evil character). And she did it masterfully. She made it so her teammates were able to continue what she set up. And, to be fair, she also fell into my trying to get her on my good side on day 1...but then life got in the way, and I disappeared. So she just went with it, and I didn't have the chance to prevent her efforts.

And Abigail did what she did with Michelle in order to gain favor and trust from the civs. It obviously worked. She threw her teammate under the bus brilliantly. And it was intentional.

I know this sounds super tin-foil-y. But should this indeed be my demise, it will all make more sene soon.

Fuck it. Moving to my actual suspect. (I'm also not saving myself currently, so may as well go with my gut if I can't save myself)

I also recognize that I have the advantage of reading the thread after the fact. Knowing Michelle was bad, and her role, before I read the posts leading up to it.

Her sudden turnaround on Michelle didn't ring true. At all. It read like she found out (from the host) that Michelle would turn up with real role upon reveal, and once learning about that from the host, she joined the bandwagon full speed. I can't imagine any other host information/clarification that would make any sense whatsoever.

The way she hasn't really answered questions, and has pushed bandwagons against civs.

Then Thunal.

I really think that if we Lynch Abigail, we'll get the most information.

I really believe that Abigail is bad. And I think Scotty is more likely bad than Wigly.

Scotty was the first to spread bandwagon seeds on Day 1.

Especially on this site where most don't know me and my style is different in these parts. I've read through everyone's posts who are alive. And some of those who are dead.

The case against me is that everyone thinks that they know who everyone else is. Style wise, that is what was able to plant bandwagon seeds back on day 1. I wouldn't be shocked to find Scotty being bad.

And if you think you can read me, you clearly can't.

holy crapweasel--I just figured out Abigail turning on Michelle (and, I may be tin foiling, but I really don't think I am). The host clarification she was waiting for was how Nathan Shelley (Michelle) will turn up upon death. She had thought that Michelle would show up civ. No problem. But then, finding out that assumption was wrong, changed her tune.

And I'm just going to keep posting, so you all can read my posts if I'm lynched.

Ga--moving my vote back to Wilgy--not because I really suspect him, but it makes saving myself just a bit more possible. And, I know I'm civ--I don't know that about Wilgy.

I also don't like his attitude of it's ok to kill a civ, because we'll learn more. At this point in the game, that's a dangerous strategy for civs. Even if he's civ, I'd rather have me in the game.

Because of it's not you/Scotty then one of the pairings of Abigail/Thunal or Robyn/Bereft is likely true. However these two pairs of players have deduced that is not the case within themselves.

Abigail, I really believe is bad. I'm not sure about Scotty. I think you are civ...probably.

I also think one of the 3 votes against me was likely a forced vote. And that the baddies must really want me out, as they've been pushing for me to look bad since the start of the game.

I guess I’m uneasy about the fact that I can’t see a role clarification that would have her change her mind like that on Michelle mid day. Especially as I know how baddie SVS can strategize and manipulate, and I think I’m seeing her influence here. SVS already did a fantastic job on making me seem bad by defending me, knowing I wasn’t around to notice.

For context, the first two posts were when I was the only one strongly sussing Wilgy.

Compare that with how she treated SVS this game. Abi townread SVS but it felt limp and she didn't do anything to justify that except one post calling Scotty/SVS t/t. SVS caught a lot of heat but she didn't jump to her defense or show she actually cared about that read.

I am fortunate and appreciative that the wonderful host poked me to come back.

Reading through various posts. And, just want to thank @SVS for the nice things she said—even though she is evil. We truly have been playing together for a long while. And I appreciate the understanding about my job and schedule.

That said, I would have found SVS totally and completely suspish for all that, had I been around. She would definitely defend a teammate like that. And, I think she was sucking up to me a bit (from the start) so I wouldn’t suspect her. She is way better and reading me than I am at reading her.

Now to continue to figure out why people suspect me.

I’ll start by saying, again, I’m so sorry I was absent. Life and work both kind of exploded (not literally, lol).

I see I have votes. I’ll say in brief, I’m not bad. I’m definitely civ.

For one thing, I love being bad, and would be way less likely to disappear. And, especially, with BTSC, I’d remember the game and have tips of what to say here. And, this isn’t my baddie game (not that there are that many people left who know my meta.

I’ll read up to see why people suspect me. And make an actual defense. Sounds like a fun evening, lol. I’ll also share my own insights.

I think this kind of comment about finding it weird you're too trusted is >rand mafia. A lot of townies are confident in their townieness even if they are suspected often, but it's easy for mafia to assume they're suspicious.

One one level, I have no idea. Maybe I'm just drawn that way? Some of it is how I approach the game and suspicion--some of it is meta, but a lot of it is noticing patterns and when those patterns are off. Which many see as a suspicious way to suspect people, apparently.

And, in a bigger way, your noting my discomfort in being trusted is an excellent example of why--on this particular site. It's a mafia culture thing. I learned mafia in a very different setting than that of most of the players on here. There are some players (SVS, LC in this game) I've been playing with for about 15 years--I think Wilgy for at least a decade. I may have forgotten someone else who is in this game (other than our wonderful host). The game we played then, on sites like LP and The Piano, was stylistically different--we developed our own mafia slang, almost all games were ones in which pretty much everyone has a power, info dumping was essentially always frowned on--at least past a certain point, when we all seemed to realize it's not nearly as much fun that way, and agreed that there just wouldn't be any any more. Where puzzles and hidden messages were everywhere. This site, in large part, grew out of that world--and merged it with other mafia communities.

The mafia game style of those other communities mostly became the prominent culture, with some aspects of my original realm staying around. like this color.

And I still play with my same style that I always have, even though I know that most around me have a different style--and will suspect me for my style. I'm good with that.

Although, I do twirl a lot less than I used to.

As for your suspicion, unless I'm misunderstanding ">rand mafia" (as I don't actually know what that means). It is very par for the course in the games of most of my mafia playing for civvies to not want to be publicly trust. I mean, I guess in a game where there is only 1 bad faction (and no apparent neutral or indy roles), it makes more sense for civs to not worry so much when trusted, but...I'm still more accustomed to games where such a structure (2 teams, one good one bad) is the exception and not the rule,

While I'm waxing nostalgic, and in a Ted Lasso game, a shout out to the OG Diamond Dog, in whose honor this smiley was created It's literally based on the actual human. I miss that FEB.

J3, as well. Way too much work to go into that much detail, for it to be fake. Also, mafia often posts less than civs--because it's harder to know what to say. And also (and maybe mores) because they are spending time chatting in BTSC, and can engage in the game without posting.

I'm intrigued by Robyn. They are totally engaging with me as new to this site (to newer players). And also don't have context to read them (if we have ever played together, I need a reminder of what game).

The back and forth between Robyn and Bereft is also odd to me. Is this typical of them? I'm not suspecting them for this, but it's reading as off to me (this could also be a culture thing that developed since I was last here, so really earnestly asking).

For what it's worth, I'm reading LC as civ. And I mostly agree with him. Weird. I also thing J3 is probably civ, although keeping a note in my mind that he might just be acting aggressively civ to avoid suspicion, but I'm not feeling that at least for the moment.

Heyyyy, LoRab! This is a person I love. I was literally JUST talking to Black Rock about the terms "town" and "wolf"... she finds them distasteful, preferring the colloquial classics, 'civvie' and 'baddie'. Then you come in, all 'civ' and it's great.
