Oh, and I forgot to say, congrats to the winners!!!!

OMG I was soooooooooooo frustrated as a civvie in this game. I felt like no one was reading or listening to my analyses and I was so spot on about my three main suspects! Trice and The Truth were on Ziltoid's team and CBK/Timmer who I called out WAYYYYYYY early in the game and kept on about right up until I was lynched was a Resident!!!!

Never again will I have a blonde moment and accidentally reveal a civvie secret--even a civvie secret about a player that can be recruited (and WAS [shakes fist at BWT]!).

MP this game was amazing and truly one of my favorites ever to play. I was so bummed when I got lynched because I was having such a blast and I followed along every step of the way after my death.

I am not a baddie which you'll soon see.

Once I've been lynched I implore the civvies to please read back through my posts and take a closer look at the people I built cases on.

What really sucks is that of the people who voted for me other than SVS, no one has explained why they find me suspicious other than to say that SVS makes sense. Maybe when you read back through my posts after I'm dead you'll see how much twisting of my words went on.

Um, BWT--you were one of those people who said they were considering voting for chaindeath.

It was NOT an intention to vote for chaindeath! It was a passing thought right before I headed to bed having quickly seen the list of names on the poll. And SVS--if sticking with a suspicion I've had for days is "spreading a wide arc of mud on anyone but myself" then sure, that's what I'm doing. I specifically stated I wasn't casting suspicion on those people I listed in my previous post--it was to prove a point that you have tunnel vision. But yes, thanks once again for twisting my words. Most excellent.

I think Timmer is a Resident due the case I built against CBK/Timmer here viewtopic.php?p=3426#p3426). If I'm right about Timmer, Epignosis might be a good place to look next due to his "random" vote for chaindeath in the rezz poll and the timing of his vote for DH on Day 5 (gave a 6th vote to DH when Timmer had 5). The Epignosis part I don't feel as strongly about as Timmer--it's more of a where to look next if Timmer does turn out to be a Resident.

I have friends coming over shortly to play games and watch the Falcons v. 49ers game. So I won't be back until early evening. Hopefully I can help address other people's suspicions against me. I am not the baddie that SVS is portraying me as.

You completely ignored that yesterday you thought I was on Ziltoid's Army and today you think I'm a Resident. Not to mention you say 6th out of 9 but ignored the fact that I put bea ahead of rabbit and that there were 10 more voters to vote after me! If I was a teammate of bea's and wanted to save her I a) would have voted for rabbit and b) would have waited to vote until later in the the phase to try to save her. But I am not now nor ever was a teammate of bea's or anyone but the civvies.

So again I ask, why the intense focus on just me for suggesting I might vote for chaindeath? I'm not suggesting all of those players I just listed are residents--just trying to prove a point.

I personally still think we can find a resident if we vote for Timmer so I will likely vote his way again today. I'm also wondering about epignosis' vote for chaindeath--maybe it really was a choice from a roll of a die, but I'd think that something like rezzing a dead player deserves a lot more thought put into it than randomizing with a die roll.

I still think there's a chance that Trice was part of Ziltoid's Army and that The Truth is his teammate. The Truth didn't respond to my case about Trice and him yesterday and now he's silenced today. I don't like voting for silenced players since they don't have a chance to properly defend themselves.

I am not a Resident.

First I was suspicious because I didn't reveal Ziltoid secrets so I was being accused of being on Ziltoid's Atmy. Now I'm suspicious for my first quick post after LT's death saying maybe I'd vote for Chaindeath so now I'm being accused of being a Resident.

Make up your minds people! If you think I'm bad, at least be consistent in which team you're accusing me of being on.

I like that SVS has immediately called me out for thinking of possibly voting for chaindeath but isn't riding the butts of those who actually did vote for chaindeath and for sketchy reasons (Epignosis stands out to me on this one followed by Mr. Droopy except that Mr. Droopy is pretty much confirmed civvie...so maybe he really just wasn't paying attention...not sure on that).

At SVS--there is a voting order in this thread--you can look at that to see exactly when I voted and how many votes bea versus rabbit had rather than trying to make it look like my vote for bea was a "throw a teammate under the bus" vote.

I voted for Illyria because of she appears to have the best chance of being a civvie based on voting for chaindeath on Day 2.

So chaindeath is definitely off our list.

Illyria voted for chaindeath so that potentially clears her as a resident and she was killed by Herman meaning she's either civvie, Ziltoid's army, or Mysterious Voice.

LoRab was killed by Squizloid so she's either Resident, civvie (since Herman has killed since her death and I doubt a target switch could have affect a daykill), or Mysterious Voice.

DF could be any alignment except for Herman (since Herman has killed since his death).

Devin was killed by Ziltoid's army so likely not part of that crew unless he was part of a potential target switch on Night 1. So he could be any alignment except Herman.

axxon was killed by Residents so likely not part of that crew unless he was part of a potential target switch on Night 2. So he could be any alignment except Herman.

I have cross-checked the list of night-killed players against who they voted for and who they were killed by.

One thing I noticed is that The Truth and Trice were both part of the rush of votes for DH at the end--maybe they didn't like him going after their teammate, LT?

I don't see how Chaindeath can't be Blue Eyeball based on that secret based on him being the only one to die when rabbit was suddenly frozen and no one died the night before. So I definitely don't want to give a vote to him now.

I never suspected Boomslang this game. And if you are referring to my mistake in the Day 2 voting order when I had Boomslang on a list, then that's absurd because as soon as I had my mistake pointed out to me, I fixed it and moved on. I think you are purposefully trying to twist things to make me look worse than I am because you have some agenda against me.

Yes, now I'm getting snarky because I'm incredibly frustrated. I've been seeing SVS' civvie game and it was Trice going so hard after her that made me decide to take a closer look at him. Then when I do that, she suddenly is all sunshine and daisies with Trice and tells me I'm barking up the wrong tree.

If Spongebob did not educate you, DH and i could not be more different. I know Faraday very well, I admire his game immensely, we are like Mafia yin/yang. He almost NEVER gets NKed early, only later when the game is at the role deduction phase. He gets lynched a lot as a civ, but not NKed like this. So I don't think he was NKed by anyone from "our" sphere of influence. But he did not say anything that would lead me to believe the PA people got him either.

So I am trying to figure out what happened to him. A direct read of the roles does not tell me~ it likely is a secret. I was hoping to see if anyone mentioned my interest, but blew it off. Surprised you didn't see that. One of those people could be the killer, IMO.

This is the post of svs's that you quote above captain bunny killer. This post is the perfect example of civvie svs. it's calm, it's not calculated...it is natural. It is not full of smiley faces to make you think she is sweet and good natured, she just is so it doesn't need the over abundance of smiley faces. Also she has no fear of saying something that may get attention. That is, talking about who was night killed. She's not afraid to do it because she didn't do it.

Also, it's full of typos. Baddie svs is typically meticulous unless she is in a rush or phone posting.

So I'm wondering if you've been recruited? Perhaps you started this game as civvie (which I really think you did) but then maybe someone, like Ziltoid found you at night and recruited you. Which is why you are suddenly all buddy, buddy with Trice (who I think is part of Ziltoid's Army) and why you tried so hard to get me lynched yesterday. You of all people would REALLY not want that purple book revealed if you are on Ziltoid's Army now since you've had civvie cred all game and would want to keep it that way.

And now that it's night I've been able to read some chapters of that purple book which will hopefully be posted before too long.

I am going to read back through each of the night-killed players to make my decision about who to vote for in this rezz poll. And try to piece together the voting order.

I am going to vote with my initial suspicion of the Day which was CBK/Timmer. Hopefully there will be a chance for more discussion on the case I addressed about Trice since people I'm trusting as civvie don't necessarily agree with it which gives me pause.

The sentence I underlined pinged me because I'm not sure why he felt he had to add that he doesn't yet know someone is bad this game to that sentence. If he had just said, "even if I know somebody is bad..." I wouldn't have batted an eye, but adding the second part makes me think he already knows who baddies are (because he's one of them) and he felt compelled to defend his statement.

Here is where he voted for SVS without ever mentioning her or that he found her post about DF odd before. Now, I know he said he wouldn't be around the next day so he had to vote early--but he kept coming back to the thread and posting for about 2 hours after making this post. This just felt like a drive-by vote that was followed after the fact with explanation when it felt like the explanation should have preceded the vote (in a previous post rather than the post where he actually voted).

Interestingly (to me at least), The Truth votes SVS right after Trice also because he found her post strange (at least...I am pretty sure that's what he was saying).

Then throughout the remainder of the Day phase The Truth continues justifying the SVS suspicion (again I think that's what he was saying, he was insanified) and my gut impression of that was that he was also defending Trice's vote while Trice wasn't around to do it (since there was discussion about Trice's early vote).

Another thing I noticed while rereading Day 2 that I hadn't really put much thought into until reading back through the thread now, is that this was the same Day that LoRab was day-killed by Commander Squizloid and also the day that she cast the one lone vote for Trice. Was that a frame-up attempt on Trice? Or something to do with voting Trice allows him to day-kill? Or something completely unrelated and LoRab just got really unlucky. Because prior to her being day-killed, the only thing she'd posted that seemed of any real consequence was calling out Trice as being suspicious for his early and sudden vote for SVS.

Along with most of The Truth’s insanified posts on Day 2, just another one where he appears to be defending Trice or supporting him.

SVS pointed out in this post here (viewtopic.php?p=2136#p2136) that had bea been able to defend on Day 2, the lynch might have gone down differently since The Residents didn't actually have anything to do with DF or Devin's deaths. My reason for pointing this out is that if Trice is bad, maybe he was sensitive to SVS' insight into thinking DF or maybe Devin wasn't the intended target because he knew she was right and wanted to try to put the spotlight on her for something he was actually responsible for (the switching of his intended target onto DF or Devin).

These two posts were consecutive. I don't know either of these players off the top of my head unless they went by other usernames. If they're new, I suspect it's possible that they were talking about it in chat and this was the result. I just find it awfully strange. Unless they were replying to each other?

While rereading the entire game thread, I had begun to notice connections between Trice and The Truth but missed this one since it was so early on so I am glad to have this pointed out because it adds support to my theory that Trice and The Truth are teammates.

And for the record I believe there are benefits for us to be able to know what other civs are capable of as well. I mean, Damo Suzuki just killed a civvie last night. Their actions affect us this game too, not just those of the baddies.

With this post I was less pinged by the use of the word “us” and much more pinged by suggesting that knowing more civvie secrets would be a good idea for everyone to know. I don’t agree with this at all (I know, totally ironic coming from me, right? ). I can read this one of two ways (maybe both)—Trice is a baddie who wants to know more civvie secrets and/or Trice is a member of Ziltoid’s army and doesn’t want me revealing any of those secrets tonight so he’s suggesting more reading of the civvie book.

Also, the chaindeath was a civvie, no wait, Damo Suzuki killed as a civvie thing just added onto the strangeness for me.

All of that being said, I still think CBK/Timmer is a baddie and likely a member of The Residents. I think Trice, if a baddie, is a member of Ziltoid's Army and potentially The Truth with him.

I think I see what SVS is seeing (referencing her most recent post), but based on my entire reread of the thread, I am not sure on the issue. So I'd welcome discussion on this before I make a decision about who to vote for today.

Well, because I've actually had a chance to build a case using quotes and voting analysis about CBK so far and if I had to vote right now, I'd vote with my case and suspicion.

I am currently rereading the entire thread now so maybe something else will jump out at me, but in the meantime, the person that stands out to me the most is you (unfortunately since you replaced in for someone I had been suspecting).

I know it's hard to defend against something that you weren't around for, and I'm not going to vote yet--that's why I'm taking the time to read through the whole thread and focus on people like Trice and Boats (who Vompatti seemed to have a suspcion of before getting lynched). However, Boomslang voted for bea, not rabbit--my original voting order for day 2 was incorrect so while I plan to pay attention to his votes, he's not on my list for the reasons CBK was.

Since my two primary suspicions both turned out to be civvies, I feel like I need to start at square one today which is why I'm rereading the entire thread, not just posts from one player at a time.

If I sounded at all like I contradicted myself, I'm sorry. My mistake was this: MP asked me which book I'd like to read from last night. I immediately responded "Green!" while thinking to myself green=alien.

Then I received my PM response from MP telling me Frank Zappa's role and I was confused because I thought I'd be getting one of Ziltoid's Army's roles. So I went to look at the roles and did a major facepalm because I realized I'd mixed up the civvie color with Ziltoid's army color.

It was a dumb mistake. But I owned up to it because it's honestly what happened.

And then as for choosing whether or not to reveal what I learned, based on the one role I learned about, I made the decision that the Frank Zappa and the civvies as a whole would benefit from knowing that by him using his power at night, he can be recruited to the Residents or worse, killed.

I thought that was helpful to share. If it wasn't then I honestly apologize. I was trying to do good not bad.

Linki: As for Trice, he's on my list of people to read through today. I think it's strange that he's been going after SVS for so long for something that I do not think had evil intentions (her expressing the concern over DF being the target for a kill as opposed to someone else). SVS has been playing her civvie game so far from what I can tell (even if I bristle at some of her accusations I don't think they're coming from a place of bad intentions).

@Timmer: Zappa doesn't have to use his power at night. That's how he prevents himself from becoming bad. I am actually hoping Zappa and Droopy have gained BTSC by now but from the way I read Zappa's role, he could still keep searching for musicians at night so I figured I'd let him know that if he searches, it could turn him to evil or worse cause him to die. Sorry that no one else thinks that's a helpful thing.

I'm incredibly frustrated because I'm not bad and I honestly don't get why there is so much sarcasm and animosity directed my way because I chose to reveal something about a civvie that I thought would benefit everyone to know!

At this point I am leaning towards voting for Timmer because of the case I presented about Captain Bunny Killer before she was replaced. Timmer's sole response to that upon being replaced was that if he'd been in the game at the time of the Day 2 lynch, he simply wouldn't have voted for rabbit which of course makes sense in hindsight since voting for rabbit and the timing of CBK's posts are what appear suspicious in the first place. I think Timmer is a Resident.

And to reiterate my defense--people think I'm evil because I picked two books, chose to read the civvie one (by mistake though I understand not trusting me on that), then when faced with the civvie role I learned about, I chose to share it with the thread--a civvie role that can be recruited or killed if he continues to use his power at night. Also, I was targeted by Ziltoid's Army which is the same team represented by the purple book. Occam's Razor says I'm not on that team and if you give me tonight, I can show a sign of faith by revealing Ziltoid Army's secrets, but you'd rather vote me out today and risk losing a civvie who has access to not just one, but two books worth of game secrets.

I feel like the baddies are controlling the thread. Please don't all jump on this without giving it some serious thought.

@SVS--one can be smart and still make mistakes. And you didn't answer me on why you actually think I intentionally made a mistake on the voting order as if I was trying to manipulate the thread when that evidence can easily be pulled from the thread itself.

I've also yet to see anyone answer my question about the rabbit freezing! Seriously, is no one else wondering what that means?

I am going to continue to read back through people because I'm a civvie and I want to be helpful to the civvie cause.

If the secret hadn't been about the potential of Zappa turning to the dark side I'd have kept it to myself. Also, as you can see, there are two different shades of green. The lighter, second shade was a secret that even Zappa himself didn't know. So I decided I'd be doing him a favor by revealing it.

I had the best of civvie intentions in mind.

And sorry for being absent-minded and picking the wrong book. Just like with me making the occasional mistake in voting records, I am not perfect.

@Dom: There was over 48 hours between me choosing the two books I wanted and then deciding which book to read--so yes, me forgetting and making a foolishly hasty decision is totally possible. It's not like I made the connecting then forgot it two minutes later.

@Kate: Again, if you knew I had a book, or guessed (which makes sense, not arguing that) why do you not find it strange that BWT didn't win his book from the same contest as you and me? I'm not sure what it means, personally, I just find it odd.

Also, to clarify, when given the option of books, I had no idea what they'd be about other than the colors of the books. I chose my two favorite colors out of the options given to me--green and purple. Then I made the connection that those are also the colors used for each alignment in the first page.

I'm not trying to hide anything.

Let me ask it this way--as a baddie, why on earth would I choose to reveal a civvie secret intentionally to the whole thread rather than keep that a secret for just my team to know? If I had wanted to keep secrets, I wouldn't have chosen to make the information public, but I did because I thought that was something that would benefit Zappa knowing about his own role.

I think you are getting tunnel-visioned on something and if you're really trying to look for baddies, you aren't going to find one by grilling me about my decision on a prize I won.

@BWT: I understand receiving an for the decision. And hopefully I will be able to clear that up tonight.

So far I've read back through Boats and INH. I agree that Boats posts mostly look like he's chiming in with the general consensus, but other than that, nothing on my initial read back of him stands out to me. Same with INH. On RM, INH got accused of being bad when he was civvie so many times that he won a special award for being most likely to make people think he was bad when he was good. My point in bringing that up is to say that he is someone I find notoriously hard to read.

DH may very well be onto something with INH--I should probably read through his posts in conjunction with everyone else's posts (so far today I've just been clicking on the in-topic link to see just that player's posts in order to read through more quickly).

I might just attempt a full thread reread, especially because I wasn't around for Day 0 or Day 1 and while I've read those, it might be good to start over with now that I'm getting used to all of the new people (new to me I mean).

Hmmm, I actually just read my attempted death post again. I thought it said Ziltoid specifically, not Ziltoid's army. So yeah, I guess it's not a sure as I thought it was that I was the intended target. I was totally expecting to be targeted for winning the contest so I wasn't surprised to see that I was.

So Ziltoid's target (me) couldn't have been switched meaning he definitely tried to kill me.

This can easily be cleared up by me reading from the purple book tonight (which I was already planning to do).

@Kate & BWT: When I made the decision I stupidly had it in my head that green was Ziltoid's team--call if a brain fart if you want. So I picked green and when I got my PM from MP I saw that I'd learned a civvie role and I did a major facepalm. I realize you will likely not believe me, but it is what it is. Not like I could PM MP back and say, "Oh, I meant to say purple, silly me!" Also before you read into that more than you should, recall that Ziltoid tried to kill me two nights ago.

I think it's very odd that you and BWT want to openly talk about this because all it does is paint a huge target on our backs. Why would you want everyone to know about the books and who has which one and what reading them means?

@SVS--keeping track of all the votes is challenging and I am bound to make mistakes. I would never and have never intentionally "faked" a voting order because you can go back in the thread to double check me so that would be a pretty stupid thing to do on purpose! I am honestly shocked you're trying to accuse me of having malicious reasons behind making an honest mistake.

@Kate--Not sure why you want to know about my thoughts on why no secrets were revealed in the purple roles. Perhaps that wasn't an option last night...

@DH and his analysis: Me voting within minutes of rabbit and BWT is pure coincidence and has nothing to do with me being teammates with either one of them. I'm all on my lonesome this game. I had been going relatively strong against Mr. Droopy all of Day 3 so my vote wasn't a half-assed throw away vote at the end like it seems you were implying.

I was also sick during the Vompatti lynch. He is someone that had been pinging me ever since his "voting rabbit for personal reasons" and I know I'm not alone in that. His complete lack of a defense is not something I associate with civvie behavior so I felt no qualms about voting for him in that lynch. I was surprised when he flipped civvie.

@SVS--I got defensive about Aces calling me wishy washy and saying that's a baddie behavior because I'm not bad and it's something I do all the time as a civvie (as I showed easily with 3 very quick examples). I really hate lynching civvies when I'm a civvie, and even worse when it's a player's first game (which it is in the case of Mr. Droopy). I felt pretty good about my case, but some of his posts did make me wonder.



I'm thinking multiple baddies are feeling threatened by my presence in this thread or I wouldn't have had two kill attempts against me back to back. My guess is one or both of the kills has to do with me winning the Ultimate Posting Challenge. And because I'm guessing someone will ask, I do know how I survived both times.

I just read back through CBK's posts again (there aren't very many so it took hardly any time). I am going to quote some of the posts.

But DH made some interesting observations about rabbit. Of course, that would be going off of what someone else claims is normal for rabbit.

She starts off by mentioning her suspicion of SVS. This is also the first post where she mentions rabbit and it is to say that she finds DH's observations interesting (at the time of this post, bea had received 2 votes, rabbit had 3).

Her next post starts off with a quick defense of her rabbit vote (DH's case), then quickly switches to why she's suspicious of SVS(viewtopic.php?p=2221#p2221). Then her next 2 posts are solely about SVS (viewtopic.php?p=2241#p2241 and viewtopic.php?p=2246#p2246).

But then her last vote in the thread when she voted in the Day 3 lynch was this:

I am still torn honestly, but some people were pretty convincing that she was acting normally. So, I will just stick with my rabbit vote.

Despite focusing much more on SVS in her suspicions, she votes for rabbit again. And my theory on that is that she didn't want it to look like she only voted rabbit to save bea on Day 2, so she had to "stick with [her] rabbit vote." She also says she was torn between the two, but the first time she mentioned SVS was also the first time she mentioned rabbit. Then only mentions rabbit again during the actual Day 2 lynch phase.
