Sucks that SVS got night killed when she did. After Wilgy, Marmot and SVS got removed so early we were pretty screwed and INH got busy outside the game so I was alone pretty much the whole game. I just hard lurked for like 3 day phases and kept sending in kills hoping to throw people off.

Glorf, I enjoyed your civ game this go round. I figured you were civ and appreciated your contributions.
Dom, I was wrong about you.
The only reason I figured TH was bad was because of gut based on my perceived ability of NK reflection. Which turned out to be a shit treasure indeed.

Wow...and see I was going to give an explanation of why I voted for JJJ but thought to keep my mouth shut since I don't have true evidence. But...I voted JJJ b/c I thought maybe this was a "bring someone back" poll. I thought JJJ was civ and thought whoever started the whole JJJ is bad thing is the one who is actually bad. Anyone know who started that train of thought?

Also, may I say that my instincts have been spot on this game despite not getting caught up in all the details of what everyone is saying. Meaning, I am not keeping up with the thread too much, but I do read for tone here and there and I have been wrong ONE time on who is who regarding roles and what not. B/c of that, I think I will share my thoughts on golden and Lorab. I think both are bad. The whole thing where golden changed his mind so quickly about Simon....I didn't say it at the time, but it pinged me somethin' awful. Lorab's overall tone has made me thing she is bad. And they both voted for TH most recently, who I think is also bad. Maybe they thought it was a resurrect poll as well.
...except that I've asked you twice why you voted for me and you haven't answered.

My challenge with you is that your tone is off. It's not just that you're phoning in the game, it's that the way you state things isn't in keeping with your civ game.

Also, that you completely discount anyone that suspects you, not only as being wrong, but painting them as being bad because they suspect you.

That isn't going to keep me from suspecting you. And, honestly, only makes you look worse to me.

Also, there are evil indies in this game, so saying that you're not on either mafia team doesn't really convince me that you are civ.
For you to claim you have a solid grasp of my civ game to the point of being able to observe that anything I do is in keeping with it is absurd. And if you are producing that as case quality evidence then how is my tone in keeping with the Mafia me, whom you would have more experience playing with I believe.

I am not painting anyone who suspects me as bad. I was just dishing out some standard brand omgus so meta in essence it wore itself as a hat. But you wouldn't pick that up because despite your belief that I scum read you in every game, here we are yet again with you scum reading me. Have you ever not?
I am very capable of finding the post.

This has nothing to do with some sort of Mac v. Dom argument that you seem very intent on keeping going. It took me 7 Game Days to start to suspect you. This is not just an adversarial *Dom and Mac always disagree and suspect each other* thing. We hadn't thus far. don't dismiss me like that. It's not a good look, my friend.

In fact, one of my biggest criticisms of you is your repeated can't be YT or Nanman tune. You ignore the possibility that you've been recruited (of which there is at least one chance you have been) are the recruiter, are a nefarious independent....

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 8]

MacDougall wrote:Dom I don't understand your question tbh.
You're just full of double standards and rules that don't seem to have internal logic.

When you were civ, you decided, even though you had never played with me before or only just once or twice , that you knew my game. You went hard after me. You weren't wrong in those games, BUT when I said that you didn't know my game at all-- you levied even harder attacks against me.
But when the tables have turned and now people suspect YOU, you cry out that your accusers *don't really know your game*.

OK. I'm not archetypical. That's not the point. The point is that at this point, many Syndicaters have played with you far more than once. We might not be *experts* on you, but we definitely know you better than you knew me in our first game together.

So to claim that it is suspicious for me to do something because you knew it was part of my bad game when you had never played with me before AND THEN to go on--several games later--saying the same thing I did when we HAVE played with you now SCREAMS to me as someone just repeating hollow statements in an attempt to save your own skin.

You keep repeating that you probably aren't Yellow Turban or Nanaman because tht means we shouldn't lynch you when there are several indepdendent candidates for lynching. Your actions SCREAM bad, but--hey-- maybe I just haven't played with you enough.

Rather than drown myself even more by trying to read everything, I'll go back to my usual strategy of asking people questions.

I'll start with what has been my biggest question in the game: Nutella. I've been reading her as a strong townie based off of her tone and the volume of her content, but I've admittedly not done a thorough investigation of her. I've also seen a few people express very vague suspicion of her ("I think she's lying", "She seems off", etc.). Does anyone have a more substantial case to offer against Nutella? I don't see any conclusion you could logically conclude from that. Though, your implication is clear.

Bah ! Folks, look at him-- lying, corrupt, misleading. Say what you mean-- like me. I say exactly what I mean, and I'm very good at it. I have teh best words and folks, I am very very gooda t using them, believe me.

Don't leave it for one of your minions to pick up and create controversy about me. Make it yourself if you want to make the point.

Hollow accusation with zero meaning in it. What's the point here, nutella?

This is a weird assumption, folks. Why did your head go there immediately?

Is it because you know there is one?
nutella wrote:I am of course aware of all of those posts. None of them, however, except for that one that was already brought up, actually advocate for the lynching of low posters. He repeatedly discusses the odds of one of the teams being inactive, which I guess you could say implies that he thinks it would be a good idea to go after inactives, but only once does he say it outright, and he never really follows up on it. I guess you and I interpreted his posts differently, but to me, advocating for lynching low posters is a very different thing from stating observations about mechanics and numbers in the game.
Semantics. Sad ! You are bad !

nutella wrote:Also, lack of precedence does not mean lack of probability. There's probably a fancy logical fallacy term for that but idgaf. Just because you've never seen an inactive mafia team before doesn't mean it couldn't happen, especially considering the Yellow Turban team only consists of three players, and this game has WAY more than three inactive players. They only killed once, and it was on SVS, an inactive player -- perhaps if nobody in the team had been paying attention they wouldn't know SVS hadn't been participating and just picked her to get rid of. Idk, I just think Glorfindel's lines of thinking are not entirely unreasonable
You are not wrong in that.

However, I find the probability to be very low. Hostin' Epi does not randomize roles. He cherry picks roles-- or has int he past. I doubt he'd put all people he suspects might be no-shows as his baddie teams. And he didn't. MM and Wilgy are not no-shows.

So your ignoring the facts is troublesome. Very troublesome. We need a better leader than that.
nutella wrote:Rare for the two of us to be so at odds, though -- we so often think alike as civs. Perhaps we have drifted apart :(
Bad ! Manipulating with emotion. Guilt. Bad !

Glorfindel wrote:Just another observation here...

As I understand it, part of the case that brought MM undone was his inconsistency in voting for Dr Wilgy for Prefect on Day 0 and then voted to have him duel on Day 1 - is that correct? I note that another player did a similar thing in that Boomslang voted MM for Prefect on Day 0 and then voted him for the dueling ring on Day 1.

The vote for MM's prefecture was mid-poll (i.e. 39th out of 62) so it wasn't really influential and it was MM's only vote for Prefect. I'm not sure what this says but personally, I didn't vote anyone for Prefect about whom I had doubts
You weren't the first to notice it:

This makes me reconsider my stance on boomslang.

Well, if you're not sure what it says, what do you think it says? Or is this one of those baddie "let's plant a seed without actually taking sides and hope it grows into a mighty lynching tree" moves?
Why is it that you always seem to appear only when people mention you?
That is patently untrue, as even a cursory read of my post history would indicate. I just thought Glorf's post was particularly egregious.
As does him using the same phrase as nutella did when she refuted LoRab's claims.

Hey Dom, do you still have concerns about DFaraday?
DFaraday is the lowest of the low. Get him out!

I am getting nervous here, people. People have written that those who want to duel are a bit strange in their intentions and dismissive and just not trustworthy.

Boomslang, does a careless player mean an evil player that needs to be kept on the other side of the wall?

Talk about the following people:

Boomslang
Bullzeye
Dragon D. Luffy
Elohcin
Nerolunar
Quin

All those are players with 5 or more posts, which posted on day 2 or later, and yet nobody seems to be talking about them.

Yes I included myself. I fit the above criteria so it's only fair. And it feels awkward when nobody wants me dead, I don't like it. Talk about me more please.

Don't have an opinion on them? Well it's a great time to ISO them. Go.
I'll GTH them. I'll humor the haters.
Boomslang - civ
Bullzeye - civ
DDL - civ
Elohcin - bad
Nerolunar - civ
Quin - civ
