Looks like the only thing I was right about was Eloh & blooper having btsc. I think I was an honorary 4th member of the Mafia this game by how I played :p

That's ok Sorsha, I seem to have a long history of getting lynched when I'm civ. :haha: But, I much prefer to be lynched when civ, because I like to have the Big Reveal Moment. ;)

I am curious wtf was actually going on there though, because it did not really seem genuine. I was super surprised MP turned out to be civ after that, because that whole thing went down so super scummily. Oh well, just an internet game!

Re: Rocky and Bullwinkle - The Legend of Frostbite Falls [Da

Good job you guys! Elo, you were the only protect I was able to send in, I protected you Night 1.

Here was my first punny Night pm to Llama:
A thunder of jets and an open sky… a streak of gray and a friendly:

“Hi!”

“Well, hello yourself, there Rocky”, said Bullwinkle, cheerfully.

“I love my role so much Bullwinkle. I am so happy I got it”, said Rocky, as he dove and rose, and flew perfect figure eights.

Bullwinkle began to look sad, his lower lip quivered, and his eyes welled up with tears.

“Hokey smoke, what’s wrong??” Rocky squeaked.

“Well nobody offered me a roll. And I’m really hungry. I skipped lunch today!”

And here was my Night 2, post-mortum pm:
A loop, a whirl and a vertical climb, and once again you’ll know it’s time…

For the Adventures Rocky and Bullwinkle… and friends.

“Say, Rocky, my pal, I’ve been wanting to ask you a question.” Bullwinkle scratched his head as he tried to think a thought.

“Sure Bullwinkle, how can I help you?” The ever chipper Rocky was always ready at a moment’s notice to lend a hand.

“Your voice is kind of high. Are you a girl squirrel or something?”

“No Bullwinkle, I’m a boy squirrel. I always have been.” Rocky was back to doing loops and whirls.

“Hmmm, but I’m a boy moose… a boose, I suppose… and my voice is deep. How can you know you’re a boy squirrel with a voice that squeaky?” Bullwinkle continued to scratch his antlers with a faraway look in his eye. (Thinking really is hard work.)

“I am a boy Bullwinkle. And I can prove it!”

“Well, ok Rocky. How can you prove a thing like that? We’re just cartoon characters.”

Rocky put his hands on his hips, and scrunched up his nose. “I can prove it. Look! I’ll show you my nuts!” Rocky pulled open a hidden door on a rather large, old, hollowed out tree, and motioned for Bullwinkle to peer inside.

“Jumping G. Horsefat! That’s the most acorns I’ve ever seen in one place! What a guy!”

I actually thought Epi was Aesop or Jr for a bit, but then he died and they kept on. Should have known it was his wife! :haha:

Re: Rocky and Bullwinkle - The Legend of Frostbite Falls [N6

Aesop, let me thank you for continuing to write these fables. I look forward to them each End of Day.

Also, when I was sending in my night PMs (all ONE of them :fist: ), I always sent in a little punny story also. In fact, even Night 2 (after being lynched) I still sent in my punny story, with no night action of course. But I had already written it, so I didn't want it to go to waste. :noble:

Maybe at the end I can post both of them. They don't give anything away, they're just punny.

If I am incorrect, I sincerely apologize, but all of my observations were honest as I read up on the thread. If you don't believe me, then I don't know. But it'd help if you approached me by considering both perspectives -- that I could be civilian or mafia, if you are indeed civilian.

Otherwise it just seems like you're trying to discredit me without actually responding to me.

And if you need me to elaborate upon any of my points, feel free. But most of my observations perhaps could be cleared, if I am incorrect, if you clarify your train of thought regarding your points.

It'd also help if you actually had a thought on someone other than me. Give me some content.

I don't have time to respond to it all MP. Well played. I almost didn't make it on here this morning, but I had a few minutes so I came on. You have twisted and misinterpreted every single post of mine you've quoted.

I am now thinking he may be FL - who survives his first death. That's why he said "kill me instead of sloon." Then he opportunistically jumped on me instead, because why waste your first survival this early?

Linki - I thought I was a fast typer??? :shrug2:

@ Zebra:

I still can't shake my ping of MP. I understand exactly what you are saying about his play style, and so I'm conflicted about him. I'm also uncertain about DocW... if he were seduced, that would pretty much (nearly) guarantee MP is not baddie. However if he were "narratored", then it's still up for grabs. I do think it's odd that finally (after taking a little bit of heat and a couple votes) MP came in and tried to post some actual content, although it was unhelpful and not useful content (just IMO, no offense intended of course)... so that seemed just a touch convenient. Like, here's some real stuff... except that it's already useless, so we can't say he hasn't posted any content.

And beside that 1 ping I just don't feel a lot. That's my 1 thing right now, and I don't feel certain about it, yet there isn't really another place I feel comfortable putting my vote.

Now "Blooper" has voted without posting... so has he also been either seduced or narratored? He hasn't been scrooched, because Llama said that means no posting, no votes, no night power... so it has to be 1 of the 2... or just an honest vote with no post. Which is weird? But maybe not for him?

I am willing to look elsewhere, obviously. I understand what Epi is saying about Sloon, but I'm not certain it pings me as much as it pings him.

@ llama - Narrator - Can direct either a lynch vote, or a night action of another player.

If the Narrator directs a lynch vote, would that be done via the thread? For example, would the directed party have to vote a particular way in the poll?

Or would the directing be done BTS? Whoever the directed party votes for in the poll/thread wouldn't really get the vote, it would secretly go elsewhere?

I can 100% understand that, SVS. And I do not want to encourage anyone to get MORE upset or affected about an online game. I think being more zen is a GOOD thing, and wouldn't want to make anyone feel that they need to be less zen.

Also, here's another thought. I could see bea doing a BWT NK as well. Again - it would be kind, and quick for busy baddies. Cue commercial:

"Are you a Busy Baddie? Do you have a lot going on in your real life, but you still want to play mafia online? You want to send in a nightkill, because fake murdering your friends is FUN!! But who has time to read a long thread and analyze all those posts? Just take out a no-show! It's the best option for Busy Baddies. Even the civs will love you if you take out no-shows!" :stare: :P

Only two of those are present here. You'd have to ask yourself if either of them would employ the same rationale for kills as before.
Interesting. My brain (without knowing this already) immediately went to: SVS and/or MoPi.

1) I got a slight ping off SVS for her less than OTT reaction to Zebra's poking. I would have expected civ SVS to react even more strongly.

2) I got a slight ping off MP for his rushed, un-informed vote Day 1.

A) I could also see this NK being SVS because it is the gentlewomanly thing to do, and she likes for players to play a game.

B) I could also see it being a MoPi move because you could have done it quickly without thinking if you were in a rush.

My only other thought was perhaps Boris is MIA and therefore didn't send in his kill, and BWT got modkilt. Would Llama do that so quickly though? Or would he give a player more time to check in first? (BWT never even got his role yet, so far as we can tell, right?)

RIP Bwt, I suppose, right? Would he be modkilled straight away? Or are the baddies actually classy this game?

Atm, I'm going to place my vote on MP. He ran through yesterday, and un-informedly went ahead and entered into the fray of the main discussion / lynch competition going on. If you don't have time to catch up, I think rather than trying to come down on a side, it would be better to not cast your vote into the heated mix. (It wasn't really heated, but I'm hoping I am at least making somewhat sense.) So just a reminder - civ votes count, and we should be careful how we use them. (Except for sig's.) Only baddies (and sig, this game) don't care who they vote for, because any dead guy is ok for them.

But since you voted for Epi, you feel it is LESS suspicious when sig mentions it, even though he brought it up first?

I am moving my vote to sig, this vote of Slooneis feels save-ish.
I did not find it suspicious when sig did it because it's more likely he simply failed to notice the condition in the scum roles. Epi staked an entire claim on Fearless Leader not knowing their teammates.
But you said that to make a point about it either way strikes you as suspicious; not that one is more suspicious than the other. And you did not mention this aspect of your thoughts at all when you voted for Epi. I still think this was a save vote. Although there is a lot of civ BTS here, I don't think you would have waited so long to put in a save for a civ.
It definitely was a save vote. I don't find the case against sig to be the least bit convincing.
So your thoughts on whether or not FL knows his teammates were a basic throwaway, since you actually DID suspect someone on one side of that debate, and you did not suspect anyone AT ALL on the other side of it. You just said that to say it?
No. I don't know how you're drawing this conclusion. I think the way Epi went about drawing his conclusion to implicate sig was more suspicious than anything sig said. Sig, like I said, simply seems to have not noticed the configuration of the scum team. Epi then built his case around one side being true. I don't think sig was as reliant on the point. If I am wrong, please let me know. I found the case against sig to be unconvincing, and the making of the case to be more suspicious. Epi was at the center of that, and he had a fee votes already. He looked like a better option.

Reading the roles though, I read Fearless Leader the exact same way Epi did.

Fearless Leader - Can send one message to Boris and Natasha each night. Survives his first death.

He doesn't have BTSC with them, and likely will only learn their identities by some code he tells them to use to identify themselves in the thread. (Well, that's what I would do.) He will probably identify himself to them tonight in his message (assuming he's present) and then Day 2 Boris & Natasha will identify themselves to him in the thread somehow. I don't see why it's odd to use explained game mechanics as a defense. It's actually (maybe?) one of the few defenses that is solid and makes sense. (Not saying Epi is civ, just that that defense doesn't ping me a bit. Not sure it's one I would use, because my brain works differently, but the defense itself isn't pingy to me.)

I didn't find that part suspicious at all. I think Epi is likely one of those players who analyzes the roles right away to try to see where things fit. Not all players play that way, and clearly sig is one who didn't in this game.

Re: Rocky and Bullwinkle - The Legend of Frostbite Falls [Da

Yowza, look what went down! Epi, my post where I stated my vote for you was simply a pun. (I won't judge if it was good or bad, but it was just a pun, and a way to post my vote in the thread. :p )

I am again reminded how much I hate day 1 lynches. I hope something bad didn't just happen, however most day 1 lynches are not roaring successes in my experience. I guess we'll see.

A couple of thoughts:

Just noticing (or thinking you've noticed) a connection between 2 players in the thread doesn't necessarily make them bad in this game. I can also understand why Eloh would try to save Epi - it's the reason Dex and I don't play mafia games together. I get too Mama Bear with him when he's in the game. (Not that she got Mama Bear, I just totally understand the instinct to stand up for your spouse.)

I guess we'll see where the chips fall shortly.

Linki - Looks like I better read the thread! :omg:

Epignosis mafia, but his puns are tearable.

I don't know if I'll have time to log on in the AM before the poll closes, so I'm going to go ahead and vote for that punny, punny post. If I have time to log on and read, and something actually catches my eye, I'll change it accordingly.

Re: Rocky and Bullwinkle - The Legend of Frostbite Falls [Da

Interesting back & forth between Zebra & SVS. I actually didn't find SVS's reaction to the poking to be terribly OTT. I would almost expect a civ SVS to be more OTT in her reaction. However, we can all become more zen in our lives, and I don't think that's a bad thing. I could also see this back & forth between Zebra & SVS as distancing. At this point, this early in the game, I feel like it's just a bit too soon to have a solid read on what it means, if anything.

It also sounds like it's somewhat a regular thing, and I know those old habits are hard to break, and sometimes are just like blanks - explosions that sound like something but don't accomplish much (as far as revealing alignments, etc.) .

I haven't ever played a game with changeable votes though, so I personally took away something useful from at least some of the back & forth. It's helped me understand why changeable votes might be a thing, and I do think it's possible they could spark some actual conversation. I'm not 100% clear on how baddies would use them to manipulate the thread/lynches, but maybe that will become more clear to me as game play continues. That being said, they make me uncomfortable since I've never done them before, so I'll just be over here shaking my cane with bea. :fist:

And, as always, I just don't dig Day 1 lynches. I'm not usually one to vote for non-participants, plus according to the rules if someone doesn't show up & post they can't use their night power anyway, so non-participants can't really do much harm, ya know? But it's not like I have a great reason to vote anyone right now. Who does? It's Day 1.

We're here! We're queer! Get used to it! Image

3 things:

- Yay game! :cloud9:

- Nice post there, Mr. Llama. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I am so ready to rewatch some episodes, I have great memories of watching Rocky & Bullwinkle as a wee tot.

- I am currently here. Throughout this game there will likely be times when I am here posting, and times when I am not here posting. I am not sure how you will know the difference, but I will try to devise a plan to let you all know. At the moment, I am here posting. :nicenod: :ninja:
