Re: Concerts

I just got tickets to see the new Bat Out of Hell musical, opening week in London next June.

Bat Out of Hell was the first album I fell in love with, at age 10. For the next 8 years or so I listened to basically nothing but Jim Steinman songs. But I've never seen Meat Loaf live, and it looks like he won't be touring again due to health problems. I saw the unfortunately bastardized American version of Steinman's "Tanz Der Vampire" musical on Broadway in 2002, but I've otherwise never seen any of his songs performed live.

So I decided to bite the bullet and just jet off to London for the hell of it. I'm super excited!

I am super excited because one of my favorite bands ever, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum who I saw live six or seven times, have reformed (mostly) as a new project called Free Salamander Exhibit. When they tour the east coast, I will definitely be seeing them.
I never heard about them reforming. This is good news!
Not all of the original members, but most of the important ones. Most notably absent is Carla Khilstedt's violin.
