Re: Lost Again Mafia (Season 2) - Game Over
Even though I lost, I like these kind of games where one side dominates. Good job Epi, Daisy, and Sorsha. I knew Sorsha was bad news. Epi and Daisy threw me. Everyone got onto me about talking about a Sorsha vote when we KNEW there was a confirmed baddie in the Hatch. I have learned in Mafia that you never KNOW anything for sure. Never! So...I will try to keep this tid-bit remembered so I can use it later when people question me
. So weird that all of us were civs in the Hatch and could have been open and honest with one another. But good 'ol Quin just wanted to keep on pretending. SMH.

Is it rude to ask you to just reread my posts? I'm just really not feeling well...got a cold Sunday night and its kicking my butt.MovingPictures07 wrote:Why that combination? Now how do you change your story on that topic? Was I correct on the matter? Would I call out a teammate like that if I were bad and if I were correct on that matter. I'm remaining open-minded myself, hence why I said "right now" in that quote you're responding to. I don't think I'd agree with last night MP right now. I'm not sure what I would say right now. I need to dig through ISOs first... I hope I have time to.

Re: Lost Again Mafia (Season 2) - Day 3
I got to the end of page 13 and saw there were two more pages to read before I am caught up and all I did was sleep.
The more I hear from MP, the more I find him civ. He asked Epi and I about switching our votes to INH late in the Day. That was a ping for my right off, but after the flip, it makes me think better of MP and not worse. Then there is this from INH.....
I am putting INH on the naughty list for now. Like I said, I still have two pages to read, but still.

I don't find INH's translations to be good/true/convincing at all.insertnamehere wrote:MP's case against DF was mostly based on DF thinking that the D1 Soneji thing was a save-job.MovingPictures07 wrote:All of this despite me and Epi telling him that literally all of his suspicions/thoughts are based on one flimsy assumption: that someone was being saved on Day 1. I think that's ridiculously dubious.
Seems more like MP just wanted to get rid of someone who found him suspicious. Or he was so shocked that someone would find him suspicious for his D1 CFD mislynch that he decided to target him for yet another CFD mislynch.
It's like raaaaain on your wedding day...
Translation: DF finds me suspicious; get him!MovingPictures07 wrote:I don't get the impression at all that DF cares about solving the game at all. I'd like to lynch him today.
Full disclosure, whenever I read the phrase "solving this game," I roll my eyes.
Hey, lookie here:MovingPictures07 wrote:INH is doing the exact same thing in that post I quoted. I find it equally suspect.Spacedaisy wrote:@ MP - Up until your post on him setting up easy lynches, I hadn't really thought anything of him. In reading the Hatch thread I thought briefly that he seemed more engaged that he normally comes across to me, but I don't think that is necessarily a baddie tell or anything, he is usually disengaged either way I believe. But your post about setting up lynches was a good point. He basically has a lynch lined up no matter what result Elo might flip, which would be a nice place for a baddie to be sitting. It is something to consider.
Both DF and INH seem so uninterested in actually hunting for mafia. They're just drawing connections based on incredibly dubious assumptions.
MP seems so uninterested in actually hunting for mafia. He's just drawing connections based on incredibly dubious assumptions.
See? I can do it too.
Also, once again, "incredibly dubious assumptions" = questioning the intent of a D1 CFD mislynch. That sounds reasonably grounded in logic and fact to me, but then again, I didn't cause a D1 CFD mislynch. I guess MP's perspective is different.
Translation: I don't like DF and INH's games and hunting efforts because they implicate me.MovingPictures07 wrote:Their games are the epitome of lacking any town spark whatsoever. They don't indicate any consideration of hunting.
Dude, it's a good thing I won the lottery. Otherwise, I'd be broke because of all this discrediting MP is doing to me.
I am putting INH on the naughty list for now. Like I said, I still have two pages to read, but still.

I think the points made against DF are more noteworthy than the ones against INH. I thought INH had been pretty helpful. His helpfulnees has petered off, for sure. I just think DF is more likely bad.MovingPictures07 wrote:Why? What specifically do you find suspicious enough about DF to vote for him, but not about INH?Elohcin wrote:Not at this time. Linki: He's lying about that. But I do forget things. This is why I keep everything written down. But when it comes to old games, the only way I would be able to remember them is if I were to take notes of important happenings and refresh my memory of those things before each new game I play. I cannot be that involved in Mafia...not enough time.
I can remember some things really well too. And I am good with faces and pictures. YOu know how you can see an actor and thin..."oh, I have seen them in something before." I can always place a face/voice/etc. Will I know the title of what they played in? No...but I can tell you the plot or genre or whatever. My brain is weird. I blame public school for the inability to learn the way I should have and that's why I have a hard time as an adult, imo.

Hey Quin, how is it beneficial to a civ to claim a power role at the beginning of Night when baddies are deliberating who to kill?
Hey Sorsha. What is "it"?
Here's your answer. Vanilla townies fake claiming power roles so that they can keep the real power roles alive is a legitimate strategy because it helps to keep power roles alive. If the mafia believes the fake claim by a vanilla townie, they will NK them because they want to NK the power roles first. It's how I tricked you and your team in Arrested Development by trying to seem like I was the cop. You bought it, then Spacedaisy (the real cop) outed you all and solved the game. Remember that?
OOOHHHH! I DO remember. Thank you so much, MP. See...another reason to put you in the civ category.
So...do you think this is what Quin did or should we not even talk about it

Wow, so much activity just as I became unavailable.
Before now, I had no read on Epi. I now see him as civ. Out of everyone I see him and MP as most civ. I said as much of MP in the Hatch.
My top reads on who is bad is still Sorsha and Quin. And Epi made a very convincing argument on DF. I would vote either of these three players. I am willing to move my vote in order to keep from vote spreading. Let me know what y'all think.

As far as the Quin/Eloh thing goes. I understand what Quin is doing. It's kinda-sorta common in these smaller games....(isn't it? I mean.... I've definitely seen it before anyway) I don't think he is suspicious for doing it. I'm more bewildered by Eloh not getting it/never having seen it done before.True, if she had a team they would just explain it to her so her seemingly "not getting it" would come across as civ. On the other hand she could just be playing off like she doesn't get it as an excuse to stick to her Quin suspicion.
I'm going to read the hatch thread to see what was up with you all voting for Eloh there.
And hopefully address whatever has come up with my name here.

Hey Quin, how is it beneficial to a civ to claim a power role at the beginning of Night when baddies are deliberating who to kill?
A 'ping' does not evoke the response that you had in the thread. You found it mildly to moderately suspicious.

Poor G. Sorry to see you go.Golden wrote:For clarity, the votes were combined. Have to go briefly but will post lynch polls soon. G-Man got four votes and Eloh got 3.
@inh - it doesn't. Very helpful in fact. My technical skills are about as useful as Frogurt.
You are admitting to not reading all of G's posts. B/c if you had and you were civ, then you surely would have noticed. Also, my shenanigans continue! Every post I made in this game started with the letter C.

But seriously, I really dislike the CFD shenanigans that occurred here. Going into Day 2, the Soneji voter-dudes are who I'm gonna be looking at.
If anyone asked me, I'd think the baddies are made up of two Soneji voters and either Eloh, Sorsha or G-Man. This just screams save.

Re: Lost Again Mafia (Season 2) - Day 1
Y'all are so fun.
G, why did you wait until the last minute to declare where you would stay for the night?
MP, I am good. You watched lost, right? Read through my posts when you get a chance (just mine) and then make up your mind about me. I know I waffled a little on G, but I always do. I still half think he is good and half think he is bad. He's been helpful, but his motivations could be bad. He waited until the last minute to claim where he will stay, that pings a bit.
But I am more pinged by Sorsha and that is why I voted her. He role played the hell out of these past 48 hours and contributed nothing, imo. She claims that those who came in and claimed their night stay and left are suspicious but I don't find that suspicious at all. I am guessing those are busy people trying to get done what is required of them and then being on their merry way. I think they were bad, they would hold out to see where others were going first.
Woah linki

This is true. I even responded to her about it to see if she would participate for real and she still didn;t give much other than role playing.G-Man wrote:Constrained by dinner prep. My three baddie suspects are:

@MP - she is only looking for walt, her son, and that is all. Good thing I always knwo where my child is.

This is logical. If I don't end up having to save myself then I will vote MP.Quin wrote:He's one of few who hasn't declared his location yet. I'm inclined to believe the baddies would wait until later on so they can go to wherever their target goes.Ricochet wrote:Why MP, brotha?
I'm also going to start keeping a list of those who go after me on Day 1 and see if they end up bad. I think people think I'm an easy target. It will take several games to determine if this is true and to use this info to find baddies, but I'm too lazy/busy with other things to go back and research other games.

So here's something I don't quite fancy.
Elohcin not buying Soneji's thoughts on G-Man, which were that G-Man might be forcing it with the tone.
Then Elohcin isn't buying G-Man and his thoughts.
What was the trouble, then, to dismiss Soneji's skepticism, if you're just going to bring your own?Elohcin wrote: As for G. This might be our usual shade throwing baddie Eloh. Starting with a vote here.

G-man seems very helpful. I don't think Soneji was correct in his thoughts on G. But Spacedaisy's comments on G had me thinking.
Sorsha, I don't knwo where your son is. I am too busy wondering around the island for hours leaving my own to be babysat by others and starve.
I'm not totally caught up, but posting anyway.
