Thank you everyone. You are all so sweet. Epi is making me pinwheel steak with spinach and cheese, asparagus, and French bread. He also brought home a cheesecake! I haven't had a birthday cake in years! Next weekend (since this weekend is already booked up) we plan to take the kids roller skating to celebrate as a family and then have friends over in the evening for tapas and booze. You are all welcome to join :-D

I should pay more attention to whose birthday it is around here. Sorry for that. 6 days late but I wanted to wait until I had a picture to add...Happy BIrthday Epi!

OK - new plan. - Do you like pinapple upside down cake? Cuz I've got a finally seasoned cast iron skillet and I've been dying to perfect making one like gram used to make.

I say - if you guys take your birthday off to come out here and visit, I will spend a year trying to perfect pinapple upside down cake.

Or - you know if you have a different favorite cake I could try it too - but I'm really not much of a baker and I know I couldn't decorate it all awesome like you do.

Thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes. You know you're getting old when you mother is even surprised by how old you are. She called me the night before and asked, "Just so I make sure I get it right on facebook, are you turning 30 or 31?" I laughed and replied, "32!" Sad, sad, sad.
