Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 2]

Well boo! Does this mean I am a good enough Mafia player now to be a threat? I have never been killed Night 1. And, if my memory is correct, I've been nightkilled two other times.

HamburgerBoy and Saberfish (and anyone else new), the way a host deals with ties does depend, but most of the time, the result is randomized among the tied vote-receivers. Sometimes there is a role mechanic that decides ties. Sometimes there is no lynch.
Aren't you knee-deep in titties right now?
Lol what

LOL, no, that's not my bachelor party. Russ is going to another wedding, his roommate in college, this Saturday, a week before mine and Daisy's.

I had my bachelor party back in December when I was in Ohio, since I didn't think I'd be able to fly in until literally the last minute. Turns out I'm flying back on the 5th.
And were there boobs? I promise I won't tell daisy :)

I often wonder how the Newlywed Game gets away with everything that it does, when doing re-runs at 10am on the weekends.

Elo, I think Boom might be the best outlet to transition into the Birds and the Bees talk. :nicenod:

I've taught my kids the technical aspects of it, sperm and egg and all, but I have never involved genitalia in the conversation or the word "sex". They are 8, 5, and 3.

Sure.

I'm from a time where things made more sense, where the grass and air didn't smell like putrid children basking in video game delusions, where meat was meat, where the plays of Eugene O'Neil enthralled us all, where a man could get things done without being harassed, where you could plant your own food, drink your own whiskey, crack wise with the neighbor, rough a mother******* up at the local bar and not be charged, and where life was much simpler than how many "likes" you get on whatever doodad you carry in your pockets.
I asked WHERE, not WHEN. :P And if you can believe this, I don't carry any kind of doodad in my pocket. My husband and I have one cell phone between the two of us (yes, we share it) and it doesn't even have internet access. If you touch the screen, nothing happens at all. Also, you have to flip it open just to see the buttons. Crazy, eh?

timmer wrote:To get to the point a bit better re: Epig maybe not being drunk when he said he was... @ELOH, what is your opinion of this? If you think Epig was lying, does this make you suspect him of being shady?
My opinion is the that this is being read into way too much. Did Epi actually say he was drunk? B/c Epi doesn't usually claim to be drunk even if he is. I think he was just having some fun. I thought MP asked if Epi was drink. That's why I responded.
Epignosis wrote:I said I had about 14 beers. Not the same thing as saying I was drunk.

Sorry if you lightweights can't fathom that.

If I get lynched, my ghost will have to party with Andre.
Well, there you go. I was right in my thinking, he didn't say he was drunk. Epi drinks at least 12 beers a day. He's a beast. It's why he has life insurance :p

This just isn't true. Of course you can't know their alignment (unless you are both bad) but if the non-participant is on your side then it is more helpful to you to keep him/her alive. It creates a slightly better chance that someone who is not on your side will get lynched/killed.
But you're playing the odds here. Why play the odds? The semantics of it aside, I just plain don't like playing with inactives. The longer they sit and rot, even if they are on civ team, the bigger the chance of mafia picking off vocal people as the game wears on. Not adding to the civ cause yet remaining in the game is just easy pickins, and muddies the waters.
You are right. I don't like playing with inactive either. It frustrates me to no end when people sign up to play and don't. And its horrible when it comes down to Mafia and inactive civs. Even if I am a civ in a game where that happens, I would rather Mafia take the win than a handful of inactive civs win a game.

I have thirteen pages to catch up on!"
I actually agree with this. Not much of substance is usually said in the first 24 hours. It is nice b/c of the various time zones that are represented here on the syndicate, but I don't think it makes enough of a difference to matter much.

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 1]

This game has been so fun to read so far. Sorry it took me so long to get into Day 1. Four and a half hours left and I have no clue who I want to vote for. I don't see anyone standing out with mafia behavior but with so many new (to the syndicate) players, it will be hard to tell. Plus several players have yet to say anything or much.

@ G-Man - do you plan on keeping this gimmick up all game? How will be know your suspects or how will you make a case for anyone. I do think your gimmick is pretty awesome this game. It would be really cool as an insanifier. However, I am not sure you can actually play the game this way. Am I underestimating the G-Man?

Not possible, my friend.

How many drinks have you had? :P
At my age, I stop counting. 14 is a close mark.

Trying to discredit me?
I went to bed close to 11pm and he wasn't drunk at the time. I think its said this post was around 11:30 or so.

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 0]

Hey all! Ad a special welcome to all those I have yet to play with. It's good to have you on the syndicate. I am voting for Trent. I feel like the logical way to go about it is to go in order of who dies first in the show.
