Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER III]

I'm going to have to vote with an eye to self-preservation. At this stage, lynching me for my meagre output is pretty much admitting that the baddies are in command of things. I've actively tried to keep current, and voted based on the cases I thought had the most merit. Just because I don't have time to type out rainbow wall posts doesn't mean I'm bad. And meanwhile, players like Malchus just keep absently surviving. I've TRIED. :srsnod:

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]

Pilate wrote:
Lot wrote:Well, put it this way. Ruth voted for Isaac 4th yesterday, putting him in a position where there was a genuine chance he would be lynched instead of her. Why would the heathen team risk lynching someone no-one knows is heathen instead of someone we already know is?

Samuel's view on Isaac persuades me more about Samuel's mindset than about Isaac actually being bad.
Ruth would vote that way in order to distance herself from Isaac. The genuine chance he could be lynched is what makes it smart distancing, the risk element makes it that much more convincing.

I think that Isaac and Lot are both bad. I'll vote Isaac this time.
The point about the Mordecai/Isaac tie is solid, Mordy's vote makes no sense if they aren't teamies. That, and while I know I haven't made a ton of posts in this game, I've got a decent sense of who I think is trustworthy, and Pilate is one of them, so Isaac is getting my vote again.

"Death's Handmaiden" sounds too much like Epig for me to get on that lynch. Ruth's posts are terrifying me. The case on Isaac is still legit enough that I think he makes a decent backup plan.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER X]

I'm starting to get tied up in work again, so I'm going to vote for Belshazzar. I feel strongly that voting patterns are most important, and he did seem to vote in some spots that look like saves. And while I appreciate his output, there have been plenty of players (like MP) who can routinely be the top poster in the game and be bad, so I'm not weighting Bel's output as strongly as his voting record.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER X]

And Belshazzar has been mega-contributive and scum-hunty with the huge vote breakdowns etc. so the issue with him seems to be more that his votes have often hit at suspicious moments, correct? Such as, putting someone slightly ahead of Uzziah, etc? I have a very hard time voting for someone who has posted as much as he has, but I am a believer in voting patterns being the best way to find the baddies. Moving on...

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER X]

I'm reading back through the posts of some of the contenders for today. In regards to Isaac... I had had civ vibes from him early on, and then I see he went through that whole "vanilla civ/walking dead man" thing and no one activated that night, correct? So where are we now on that? I'm trying to streamline my time as best as possible. And if both he and Mordecai were bad and leading the lynch together, does Isaac's elf-vote mean they considered him a lesser-powered role and tried to save the Big Cheese by lynching the little guy? Thanks.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER V]

Samuel seems to be posting once or twice per day period... it could be a baddie trying to appear like they are staying current. Neutral is the best I could say, here.

And lastly, Stephen and Uzziah. Both of these two are really playing up the meta-sock aspect of the game. Stephen is psoting like some kind of superhero with "Stephen out!" and "Stephen is here!" all the damn time. Meanwhile, Uzziah has the notorious "rooting for the scum" comment and recently had some more flippant posts. I have a very hard time analyzing people who are this deep into a persona. It makes their actions impossible to judge. For instance, why did Stephen talk about suspicion of Ruth and then vote for Uzziah because "fuck it"? Is this a baddie trying to force the lynch away from someone we've been talking about? Perhaps Lazarus? Or is Uzziah bad and his whole :mafia: schtick is a wifom lover's dream?

I don't like voting for people in meta-mode, so I'll be voting for either Malchus or Lazarus. I'd like to give them both a chance to reply to my thoguhts on them, though, so I won't be voting yet.

Rahab has little output, but what is there is roughly neutral, nothing really pinged me but nothing soot dout as civvie, either. At least she's around.

Ruth is a bit wishy-washy for me. Lots of posts at the start with lots of jokey day 0 banter, but since then, Ruth has participated but often only on the bigger cases of the moment. It doesn't necessarily point to baddieness, I know that when life is in the way sometimes it is hard to comment past the bigger stuff, but it's still worth pointing out.

I haven't yet found anything better than Malchus/Lazarus for my vote today.

Continuing with my catchup from yesterday, I just reread Rachel. She's very active, a bit antagonistic, and a bit defensive. That said, I'm not sure that makes her bad? There have been lots of people picking at her posts, and I've been defensive as a civ where it reads a lot like that,so I'll put her down to neutral.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER V]

@Pilate, I just read through your posts. You seem a bit scattered to me, not very on point, but there is nothing there that says baddie, to me. I can see from your tone that you aren't happy with your own play, and i'vebeen there myself, but it doesn't mean you read like a baddie, so I'm not understanding your black & white issues with Uzzi's post.

Like, if Uzziah is lynched and is good OR bad, I don't think in either case I would think of you? No offence, I hope? A declaration of thinking someone is civ isn't a sign of baddieness, I think in my catchup posts today I said that about at least 3 people so far. If they get lynched, will people instantly think of me?

I don't have any real conclusion to pull fro your thoughts on this, I'm just really confused by it all.

I'm sorry, but this cries out bad, to me. A vote with no reason followed by a shrug.

Pilate reads more as a neutral read... more posts mentioning topics than a lot of players including myself, but they feel a bit like commenting on topics rather than engaging with them. Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER V]

Not a fan of Lazarus. His posts regarding Absalom don't make sense to me. He has one fact about Absalom that constitutes his case; Absalom voted for a player who was silenced. Every post since then has amounted to a variation of "still suspecting Absalom for being shady". But that's a horrid case. First, Absalom was not even the first person to vote for Cain, Paul was. Second, while I see that people were questioning whether Cain was silenced, no one seems to have mentioned that he was lurking until after Absalom had voted (correct me if I'm wrong here, I did a quick skim). So Laz has pushed against Absalom for a very lame reason (a ton of people voted for Cain, why just him? Why never mention Paul, or me, or any of the other 4-5 people at least who voted him?) and this has spanned multiple days.

I'll try to smush more than 1 person in so I'm not posting constantly...

Jeph seems civ to me, he is actively voicing suspicions and commenting on everythin going on.

Jonah is likely a civ, but there is a weirdness to his set of posts. He posted a ton on Day 1 and then dropped off the game for 6 days. Then he says "sorry, I forgot about the game"? I can understand a low poster somehow forgetting, but Jonah posted a lot at the start and was very invested. Unless this was a host player switch and this is really a Jonah 2.0 in which case the comment makes sense? There is also a sort of flippancy to Jonah's posts that feels weird, but it's the kind of thing that generally gets jodged when you know the player posting it, so it's kind of null atm, I guess.

I quite like this post from Lot. I find often baddies like to bring up their actions in the thread, if they feel that those actions should have warranted discussion. Like, a silencer will be more likely to be the person in the thread wondering of so-n-so was silenced. Here we've got Absalom pointing out a kill pattern directly. Could be his team is proud of their "kill annoying people" plan and he couldn't help get it out there?

I don't think it's enough to lynch him over, but it's worth noting.
