Re: X-Men [Day 10]

Just some thoughts

Avalanche - we've considered him good for a while now, but he's offered nothing in return for days. And we don't know why he is alive again. I know my opinion of him has grown less and less as the game has worn on, but his reasoning for voting me today (now that he's stated it) is hard to argue. I'm still putting one big question mark next to him.

Banshee - Now here's a player I've overlooked, and a lot. Reading back, I recall that Sunfire trusted him, which is probably why he fell off my radar. It looks like he also helped with that lynching of Marrow, though Hawkeye did most of the work there. I'm curious of what others think here? I'm leaning civvie, but that's based on what Sunfire had said, not playstyle.

Deadpool - He's made a couple good points around a bunch of other less helpful inclinations. The thing that has pinged me the most are the several times that he has asked others where he should vote. Is it just lack of caring, or conforming? I probably would vote him if he was on the poll.

Havok - I was quite suspicious of Havok several days ago, but we have seen eye-to-eye on a lot of things since then. I guess I'm still leaning civ on Havok.

Longshot - Another player I've overlooked. He seems aloof to me, but that could just be since we've had zero interaction. I'd still lean civ.

Mikhail Rasputin - Like Havok, I was suspicious of him before, but we've agreed on many things since then, swinging my scumdar the other way. He sometimes makes his agenda quite clear, but I'd still lean civ.

Sebastion Shaw - I agree with what Mikhail said, that he's probably civ. The flavor of the lynch survival points to a particular role, and I'm willing to believe that he is that one. Some longer posts would be nice though. :sigh:

Shadowcat - When she posts, she's typically been semi-helpful. I'd still say she's civ based on the Exodus/Domino incident.

Spiral - I've waffled on Spiral, and lately I've been leaning towards bad. I'm still trying to figure out if that's just an OMGUS reaction, or if it's a legitimate reaction. I'll think more on this, but I'll probably vote him today anyway for self-prez

White Queen - I think she's Apocalypse. But there's nothing I can do about it (that I know of).

Spiral wrote:Is anyone else weirded out that no one died between Nights 3 and 5 (other than lynched people) and Pyro started killing between those days.
That is a good point. I'd assume that Sabertooth is dead then, but who could it have been? Dazzler's kill could have backfired, meaning he was Sabertooth, but that would just disprove Shadowcat's information about Exodus.

I guess Scarlet Witch could have been Sabertooth, but Sabertooth also killed after she died...

I am also curious that, with those 4-5 NK survivors, no one has made that supposition regarding me and even tried to NK or lynch me again.

Eloh made a good point about that. Not that i want you to, but the string of suppositions in this game baffles me.

It seems like we're at a standstill today. Mikhail thinks Shaw is good and doesn't want people voting for him. I can understand the explanation he offered (which you should check out too), but I still don't like what Shaw has to offer.

Anywho, I think we should try to lynch someone today who has not survived a NK. Since the Sentinels are now dead, the other NK survivors are presumably civvies (possibly rescued) or indies, and my understanding of Omega Red is that he is not necessarily a threat, while Apocalypse is just an unlynchable. Thoughts on this?

Shaw is votable, so idk what this means.

The Sentinels do have secrets, like Spiral said. I personally think Shaw is almost assuredly civ. Sure, he's been unhelpful, and he's clearly one of the "avant-garde" mafia players, as I've heard them referred to, but the way the lynch post read to me and the survival itself jive with the civ explanation. I will absolutely not vote Shaw today, and I'll be kinda suspicious of people who do. That's just me, though.

I do think Deadpool could be bad, but I'm still undecided on him. I do really still wanna hear his case on Spiral, so I hope he actually posts one.
He won't because there isn't one to be made, tbh.

And as I said, he could always be silenced and lynched later. I'll think it over before I leave in 10 minutes.
I understand the sentiment, but if he is the Sentinels, he's still a threat no matter how many baddies/indies he helps us kill.

But I do like your point about us being able to silence/voteblock him later. If they are both still around, that could also work out. But we'll still have players dying each night and every lynch he can join is a risk of another civvie going.

Per what Bullzeye said, I think that if Magneto is alive and smart, he would rather have the Sentinels lynched now over later. The baddies objectives also state that they need to eliminate the Sentinels to win. There was also the failed kill attempt on Hawkeye by the Brotherhood the other night too.

Anyway, I honestly believe we need to put every vote available on Hawkeye. What if Hawkeye is just lurking and faking a silence, and will pop in at the last minute to put his vote on someone else to kill?

Re: X-Men [Day 9]

I screwed up the math again, since Phoenix is dead and it wasn't updated in the OP. So there are 15 players alive. 14 without Hawkeye. Possibly 12 including those silenced/voteblocked.

I don't think voting anyone else will help. It is an odd day, so if Magneto did target Hawkeye, then it wouldn't matter. Whoever the votes are transferred to would still be lynched. If Magneto's not involved, then the only way voting someone else would help is if it turns out that Hawkeye is not the Sentinels, and we could hinder the real Sentinels' vote power if we're lucky.

But considering we need to get 10/(12-14) players on board, and given the way voting has gone lately, we need all the help we can get. Another reason not to spread the lynch votes.

Re: X-Men [Day 9]

Okay, so here is a list of Hawkeye's daily voted trends, and his received votes.
  • Day 1 - Received no votes, +1 (1) - His vote was insignificant

Day 2 - Received one vote, +0 (1) - His vote was insignificant

Day 3 - Received no votes, +1 (2) - His vote was insignificant

Day 4 - Received no votes, +1 (3) - His vote was insignificant, voted the lynchee

Day 5.1 - Received no votes, +1 (4) - His vote was insignificant

Day 5.2 - Received no votes, +1 (5) - His vote was insignificant, voted the lynchee

Day 6 - Received no votes, +1 (6) - Significant vote, see below

Day 7 - Received no votes, +1 (7) - His vote was insignificant, voted the lynchee

Day 8 - Received no votes (not on poll), +1 (8) - Significant vote, see below
This means that since he has a vote power of nine today (if he can vote), then we need 10 of the other 13 players on this wagon. If two are silenced/voteblocked, we need 10 of 11. :stare: This is all assuming no vote manipulation of any kind of course.

So on Day 6, Havok and Mikhail tied for the lynch lead with 5 votes apiece. White Queen was behind them with 3. No one was lynched that day, but White Queen claimed to have survived the lynch, meaning she received the most votes. And then there is this post. Hawkeye claimed credit for the lynch of White Queen. Yesterday, he voted Marrow, who ended up being lynched while being behind in the vote count 2-4. The only thing that worries me, is that he could be Cyclops, because seemingly in both cases, that vote would have decided the lynch, again assuming no other vote manipulation.

Anyway, I'm also going to look at every other player's vote results to see what may lie there, just in case.

Also, I have a theory about who the sentinels is. Hawkeye has only been voted for in one lynch so far in this game, so if he was The Sentinels his vote is currently worth 7. Think back to the day that Rasputin and myself were tied and White Queen had 3 votes. I don't think we ever got a clear answer on whether or not White Queen was actually the one up for the lynch, but I think it's more than likely that she was. Anyway, Hawkeye basically took credit for that. He made a post saying that he thought he could affect the lynch in such a way as to lynch White Queen by himself. And then yesterday's lynch, Marrow is lynched while having fewer votes than 2 other people.

Anyway, that is what popped into my head after reading the lynch result. Question: Is there any evidence that would go against this that perhaps I'm not remembering at the moment? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we got Marrow out, but we also need the sentinels out.

Of the three I would be willing to vote for the former because she seems like the one most likely to be protected by Magneto. I don't know if she can be targeted again tough. What I do know is that I am safe today, but I don't want to endanger anyone in case any of those I have mentioned are protected. I'm open to suggestions. Also, I am leaving in an hour.
This may make sense in your head, but I'm having a damn hard time following the logic here.

Re: X-Men [Day 8]

Still 5 players who have not posted yet today.

Havok, Marrow, Mikhail, Sebastian, and The Vision

I'm just going to assume that Marrow and Sebastian are being their standard inactive selves, but what about the other three? Especially Havok and Mikhail. :ponder:

Re: X-Men [Day 8]

I'm also convinced that Shadowcat is civvie, and that's the only player I trust is good right now. I don't think even Professor X could sway my opinion there.

Re: X-Men [Day 6]

This was my theory earlier, and tbh, I'm still partially-convinced it was true. Especially considering Sunfire's flip, and the 'information' Professor X passed on before and after his lynch.
Polaris wrote:Just a theory on Professor X. Maybe he had found Sunfire and recruited him. He wanted to recruit Cyclops next, and so he wanted no one to vote for Sunfire except for Cyclops (hence the info he passed on). A bit of a stretch, but after Sunfire's flip it seems slightly possible.
@White Queen. I was only being half-serious on that comment. And I was trying to imply Epi was just posting generic comments rather than someone else posing as Prof X.

Why would a civvie be fucking with us?
Maybe he's dead and he's not actually saying this?

Thanks Professor, I'm sure you're talking to someone(s) specifically then.

Oh, presents...

I don't even know anymore tbh. I'll get going later on a tally of everyone's who's died or survived some sort of kill.

It seems Avalanche's previous survival was one time thing? I'm wondering what to make of the fact that he survived a kill from the Brotherhood, but not from the Sentinels.
