Re: Biblical Mafia [ENDGAME]

Phew go civvies! Still pissed that I was so close and didn't quite make it to the end :(
And lol Absalom was a horseman, wow!! So I really want to learn more about them, what exactly was your win condition MP? (interesting that you all win even though you're dead -- but then I guess that makes some sense, with Death and all...)

Also interested to find out who people were. I have some guesses for a few, but mostly it was fun being in the dark.

Wonder if anyone could tell who I am? I don't think I've been too sneaky in my posting style, especially toward the end.

Wtf?!?!?! No way. I agree with Stephen -- I am annoyed that Rebecca has not been in the thread to defend herself and just let us waste a lynch. I was so confident about her being bad. Damn.

Inclined to go for Rahab next -- still a little wary regarding Pilate but it is looking most likely he is bad. And 24 hours it is.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER IV]

Belshazzar was a Horseman, not a Heathen. Still, I think your earlier record was decent (maybe not "unimpeachable" but there were some points in your favor although I did suspect you a couple times) but I think it is possible you are recruited Judas. Anyway I think Rebecca is the priority for today.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER II]

Huh, I could see Samuel as Judas. Especially since I found Stephen's vouch trustworthy -- maybe he searched/checked Sam earlier when he was civ, but now he's turned bad.

I could see any of Deborah, Rebecca, or Rahab as heathen but I feel too uncertain to pick one. Also, is there a reason we're not considering just trying again for an Isaac lynch?

@Esther- I really would recommend reading the thread. It's essential for participating and contributing reasonably, and it just ends up awkward for you when you comment on stuff you didn't pay attention to. For instance, if you had been paying attention you might have noticed that Spacedaisy actually voted by accident, and so Absalom was commenting on that. I wasn't going to fault you for not remembering that Isaac mentioned replacing in several days ago, and I understand being busy and having to skim a page or two, but you could at least try your best to read as much as possible before posting and having no idea what you're talking about.

What, Esther? We know Isaac was replaced. I'm sure that's what Bathsheba was referring to. With Isaac Epig didn't make any announcement or take him off the poll as I recall, Isaac himself told us that he was "2.0". I have no trouble believing the same is true of Bathsheba.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER I]

I didn't mean extreme in a bad sense, just that your approach is sort of polar opposite from Absalom's. Again, I think you are both being very reasonable and I am having trouble weighing both sides of the coin. On the one hand Absalom is right in wanting to make sure we absolutely get rid of a baddie, and Ruth is basically confirmed. On the other hand, we're reasonably confident (though not 100%) that Isaac is heathen, and lynching him is less likely to have dire consequences than lynching Ruth. On the other other hand, keeping Ruth around may have just as many or more dire consequences as lynching her.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER I]

Phew, guys, calm down a little. You both make legitimate points, and I for one am kind of caught in the middle of your tug-of-war and am not really sure what to do today. Like Absalom I think it is important to get rid of Ruth, but like Lot I fear she may be a trap and there might be consequences. And I'm reasonably convinced that Isaac has to go. Idk I think both Absalom and Lot have good intentions but they're thinking from two extremes and I think it's valuable to consider both sides of the argument here. It may seem like trying to lynch Ruth is too obvious, but having her around definitely isn't helping us either.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER X]

Woohoo awesome!
Very confused about how the poll worked out though.

Lot-- I'm still a little confused about the last part of your case. I'm not convinced that Isaac was on the same wavelength as you in the "walking target" convo. He knew what you meant about activating him, but the point he was making was that activating him would make him even more likely to get NKed, so he was wary of that. Still, I see how it's suspicious that he prioritizes that self-preservation over activating and confirming a role for the civvie cause, and it does look like he could have been dissuading it because he knew he'd be found out.

Your case had a few other solid points and I'm willing to pursue him again for this next lynch, along with maybe looking at Jonah and Rahab a bit more. I'm feeling pretty good about Rahab's most recent posts though. I don't remember anything really about Jonah, so I'll probably give him a readthrough. Perhaps one of the elusive Horsemen?

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER IX]

Hey, sorry, been at work all day and just got back in time to vote last minute, am not fully caught up. I'm flipfloppy on Isaac and I trust Lot but I also really suspect Mordecai so this is a hard choice. I'm going with Mordecai because as much as I feel bad for going after someone who seems to be silenced, I think it's pretty likely his team would silence him to protect him because he was already being talked about as a lynch candidate, so it just makes me suspect him more.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER IX]

Rest in peace Rachel, rest in whatever Judah :p

I'm not sure I see all this reasoning regarding Isaac. If we give the ultimatum "if he's not NKed let's lynch him" then duh obviously the baddies aren't going to NK him so they can get a free pass out of a lynch. I might be missing something in the rest of your logic, but to me Isaac doesn't really seem worth going after. Also I think I might still be misunderstanding how the apostles work? For some reason I missed that revealing powers was a thing and thought some of those were there all along, and that some of them were actually just vanilla. Huh.

Mordecai is my top choice for today. I reread Rebecca and am feeling a bit more ambivalent on her. Rahab is also interesting, I'll give her a read.

Re: Biblical Mafia [CHAPTER VIII]

Hmm, interesting thoughts Abs, I could actually see Belshazzar as a heathen, though I would really be impressed at his style. Looking back at some of his posts, he acted pretty hesitant towards going after Uzziah, saying he was in a "trio" of "brash rogue civvies" with Samson and Cain, and he kept pushing other suspicions. A lot of his Day 3 activity really stands out to me, and most of what I found on a search of his posts for "uzziah" could be interpreted as subtle teammate activity. Also, I might mention, he kept pushing the me + Jonathan cases -- just what a baddie trying to look like a helpful civ would do, press for the popular-but-red-herring suspicions. I don't know if I'm ready to put him at the top of my list yet, just because he's looked so typically civvie of the putting-all-his-thoughts-out-there type all game, and he could of course have just been honestly misguided like the rest of us, but this is an intriguing perspective on him and I'd like to see what he has to say.
