If you've read my previous posts, you know I am for a Havok vote.Shadowcat wrote:Sunfire, you don't have to give up necessarily. I think there's still a slight chance to turn this thing around.
@Mikhail: How would you feel about voting for Havok? I know I had accussed Exodus of buddying up to him, and lynching Exodus made me back off on suspecting Havok as being bad. But I feel like a lot of what he's been saying since that lynch (pushing for Sunfire and the way he's gone after you are the main two I've noticed) is making me start to wonder if my initial gut feeling was right. I feel like lynching him would reveal the most for me honestly, and I feel far more confident about him than anyone else right now.

At this point, I am giving up. Things didn't turn out the way I planned (when do they ever in Mafia, I should have known better to hope for it). I wish all the civs well and hope that my lynch won't be too much of a setback. *voting Cable* I guess.

No, I'm not actually. I'm actually confused as to why everyone thinks only baddies will pretend to be silenced. Couldn't civvies think pretending to be silenced could be helpful at some point? But, that aside, there are secrets among the roles as well as prizes for the night polls. It makes sense to me that there could be three people silenced in one day.Longshot wrote:Well Sunfire, I guess you are trying to imply that I faked being silenced? And why would I do that exactly? It was A LOT to read. I am busy IRL most of the time. I didn't have time to speak on it, but I will get my thoughts all written this evening and share. The reason I came into the thread in the first place was to switch my vote. I wanted to remove my vote because after reading back I felt it was most likely a silly reason to vote Domino. I actually thought about voting myself for the time being just to remove my vote from Domino, then I read SC's posts and decided to go with Exodus instead. I had already spent too much time on Mafia, neglecting things I needed to get done IRL, so I just voted. But, like I said, I will get my thoughts together now and let you all know what I'm thinking. I do realize I have been a bit presumptuous this game. I apologize.Shadowcat wrote: As for Sunfire, I've been on the fence. @ Mikhail - I'm sorry you see some of my posts as a bit uncaring. I do care. If you knew me personally you'd know that life circumstances have made me the type of person to say, "it is what it is" and move on to try to do better next time. Day 1 lynches are usually townies. Scum have the advantage early on in the game. They know who their teammates are and who is a townie. Of course there are independents but those are usually very few. Anyway, I am a realist and I don't ever expect to lynch scum on Day 1. This doesn't mean I am one of them.

On Havok: I don't really have much to add except that if he was scum, I would think he would PM the host the question about the tie instead of openly asking in the thread. And, since he did openly ask, maybe it was a slip. Don't really know or have a strong opinion on the matter.
@ Quicksilver: I agree that there are most likely scum among the quiet players, there usually are. Then again, there are usually scum who are quite talkative as well. I think if we look only to the quiet players we are just as likely to lynch a townie just as we are scum.

Re: X-Men [Night 1]
I'm sorry I suspected you. :/ But alas, on Day 1 there is never much to go on as I said before. Next time

Re: X-Men [Day 1]
I think pointing out potential slips may be something scum would do to keep attention away from them. I am not saying that is definitely what is going on here, but it is a bit of something to go on. It IS only Day 1.White Queen wrote:Yes, you are rather charming. Sunfire, just curious. If you don't think it's that big of a deal, why are you voting based on it? Do you think pointing potential slips out is a baddie move? I myself don't agree with his suspicion at this point, based on that reason, but I do not see why he is bad for having such a suspicion. I have seen baddies make similar slips, it is not unheard of.Sunfire wrote:I was trying to make this post about an hour ago but was having problems with the site...
I just don't see the gender thing being that big of a deal. I am going ahead and putting a vote on you for now at least.Deathlok wrote:
So I'm gonna go ahead and vote Scarlett Witch. If she's lynched, at best we've caught a baddie and her male friend, at worst I'll more or less feel like I can trust Polaris. Either outcome is better than the traditional Night 1 "Oh, we lynched a civvie and have no information about potential baddies, either."

Frustrating when people don't follow the rules. That has been happening a lot lately in games. Epignosis, are they being punished?Epignosis wrote:They are, even if I didn't want them to be.Polaris wrote:Mr. Epi, are real identies revealed in BTSC?![]()

Re: X-Men [Day 1]
Okay, caught up
I am interested in the ID thing as well. I do not think Epignosis would make a game mechanic like that that wouldn't mean anything at all. I mean, I am sure he loves watching us all squirm with wonder, but I would think it means something. Couldn't Polaris actually have some kind of of info but not be allowed to share it, or worse just choose not to share it?
About the gender thing, I do remember reading that it it illegal to share true identity even in BTSC.

I think it is only because you were the most vocal about it. There were definitely many players who chose options other than the institute. Take Marrow for example. He has posted twice so far, twice!. His last post was to tell us.Avalanche wrote:I am pouting because I didn't get my way.Spiral wrote:I, personally, don't have much to say. I think it is telling how people are trying to make me out as a villain for having a different opinion about the poll than everyone else. Personally, I will be looking at conformists today.
To this, (early on in Day 0) I responded and asked him to explain why that option was the most practical. He never replied or said another word. I would still like to hear from him as to why the spaceship was the most practical option. I think it is players like these we should be looking at.Marrow wrote:I'm going with the spaceship, it seems the most practical.

Re: X-Men [Day 1]
I'm sorry I have not been very talkative. I have been out of commission today with a horrible migraine followed up with nausea - never had anything like it in my life. But I am feeling a bit better now after taking some Excedrin. I haven't had anything more powerful than ibuprofen in years. Anyway, I am able to open my eyes at least and sit up now, so I will use this time to catch up and share my thoughts. The Vision wrote:Considering how many players are in this game, things are awfully quiet…
